Incredible guy on the counter went above and beyond to help us with everything

The event is fantastic and has many traders and props for photographs etc.

My only major criticism is the guests aren't as major like in the other conventions you do such as Scotland, Liverpool and For The Love Of Horror.

I'd love to see someone big such as Emilia Clarke or Jensen Ackles.

Apart from that Comic Con North East is a fantastic event to visit and brings joy to the North East of England.

I attend Monopoly Events regularly, up and down the country, and I’ve never faced any problems with any of the staff that run the event. This is now my 3rd time visiting Comic Con North East and there is always plenty of stalls (for everyone), games, props and guests. I’d reccomend this to anyone with children, anyone who wants to attend these events with friends, and even people who are interested in meeting people like them! I want to also give a special thank you to Erin Clemans, a very helpful person who wants nothing but the best for people attending these events.

Very poor. Only good experience was the characters walking around in realistic costumes; not enough to justify the £25 entry fee. Needing to pay £50 for photos with ‘celebrities’ is disgraceful. Rude staff verbally berating at me when I was obviously unsure where I was allowed to be. Stayed for about an hour - an hour I will never get back.

I've been to many comic cons around the country, I can not fault this one at all, lived the last 2 events , staff also very helpful with any changes to tickets etc , I'm excited for the future of this event

⭐️ Lovely staff and security throughout the event.
⭐️ Quick entry and easy exit to come and go as you please.
(I recommend utilising this to other attendees as the venue was ridiculously overpriced charging £5 + for a small drink or portion of chips. Thankfully we walked to the station to grab lunch. I appreciate the con has no control over this).

⭐️ I thought it was wonderful that props / sets are free to view and photograph, as is the inclusion of panels and video gaming covered in the ticket price. 👍😁🎮

⭐️ Stalls were nice and varied 🛍️ but more traders and more artists / authors in the artist section would have been lovely! 🎨📚

⭐️ The Panels were fab but need more seating as very busy / popular. Sure this won’t be a problem when the con moves to the Sage in 2026.

⭐️ The Guest list was great, 👏 can’t wait for this event to grow and attract even more names! 🥳

❌ My only complaint would be the communication about guests, for example when Arthur Darvill changed from both days to Saturday only there was no announcement. When Warwick Davies didn’t appear at the Star Wars panel there was no Facebook announcement or even an acknowledgment from the host at the start of the panel. I completely understand that things can and do change last minute but it would have been nice to be kept informed. 🤷‍♀️

💡A Suggestion for next year, as I feel it would have been useful - is to have a list of prices for Guests Autograph/ Selfie / Combo on a notice board or poster somewhere for all to see. It can be difficult for some people to budget and/or awkward for others to try to get to the table of every guest to see the prices without invading the personal space of people in the queue (and having to explain that they are not trying to queue jump) - especially when the guest is very busy.

Overall, it’s lovely to have a Comic Con return to the North East and I wish Monopoly Events every success and sincerely hope that they will go from strength to strength as they build this wonderful Comic Con for the fans! ❤️

It would be 5 stars but this is the 2nd year in a row with short notice guest announcements and not enough time to decide who to get photos with compared to other con locations by the same company.

I have no gripes towards the event itself and how it runs as on the actual weekend, the event runs smoothly and there's plenty of stalls and fun things to do. But more than 2 months pay of notice would be nice for future events and guest announcements please!

Great company. Customer comfort and safety is well thought out. Upfront about guest cancellations and automatic refunds. Guests seemed very happy as well as the customers. Looking forward to seeing this convention grow.

We really enjoyed the day though found parts a bit disappointing, there is not enough room to sit to see the Q&A panels, there wasn't anywhere for wheelchair users either. We waited nearly an hour for the cosplay parade to start which was delayed but noone was informed. Otherwise it is a lovely atmosphere and great to see all kinds of people doing what they love

Great event. Staff were all lovely. I thought being on a match day may affect numbers but there were plenty of people there. More guests would be nice to encourage more customers. Highly Recommended!

Absolutely appalling. Im a wheelchair user and the venue in Newcastle arena didn’t provide any wheelchair spaces for the panels. They also didn’t provide any disabled seating, so noone with mobility issues could sit down and watch. The only way you could watch panels is with the front of your chair pressed against the stage and your ear almost against the speaker. Do better . Please be warned if you are travelling to Newcastle arena in a wheelchair that they really don’t accommodate you

Definitely in need of more guests, though the event is well run and the experience overall is quite enjoyable

Last year was the first north east comic con and I absolutely loved amazing stalls and i met Ross Marquand who was amazing so nice will be attending every years event for both days definitely a highlight of my year from now on

Excellent event with lots to see and do! Popular celebrity guests, panel talks and gaming included in the ticket price, not to mention the variety of stalls on offer! Well placed set builds either free or supporting charities, this convention is a fabulous day out!
