Coman & Co. I’ve been utilising Rays accounting services for the last few years in both business and Personal tax matters. I’ve found him to be very knowledgeable and professional. His responses by email and work completed are speedy and accurate. Most importantly he’s honest and will do his best to help you. I spoke with a number of companies before deciding on Coman & Co and would happily recommend the company to others.

Ray is both knowledgeable and helpful and I can't recommend him highly enough. I pay little or no attention to my tax matters, I leave it all to Ray as I trust him completely and have been using him for over 10 years.

TLDR: Good initial conversation to understand the request but the moment things got complicated, I barely received any attention to details, being asked what numbers I wish to be written in the Tax Return! Exceptionally poor customer service and communication despite premium fee rates. Complete inability to acknowledge deficient work and settle matters amicably while trying every trick in the book to shift responsibility onto clients. Repeated attempts at pressuring clients into accepting subpar work contrary to their interests. Definitely not recommend!

While Ray might be an OK professional in general, unfortunately, in my case, his performance was extremely disappointing. I've asked Ray to put together my self-assessment tax return for TY23/24 while substantiating a particular set of circumstances from TY22/23 which was likely to have a knock-on effect on my tax position. He agreed to calculate the tax return for TY 23/24 and doublecheck the taxes for TY22/23. Given that I have no accounting training, I provided him with the requested documents. Ray completely failed to account for my TY22/23 concerns or look across all documents. This resulted in a miscalculation of at least a couple thousand of pounds less. Upon raising doubts regarding his overall approach and analysis, Ray did not provide a detailed analysis, bringing up very superficial off-topic commentary and insisting on signing the documents. At that stage, it was clear that I had to spend hours doing the calculations myself.

Ray showed an extremely petty attitude throughout and refused to reach a compromise in order to settle the matter while constantly trying to shift responsibility to the client. After this experience, I would highly recommend NOT using Coman&Co's services.

I am living abroad, but I lived in UK before I settled in HK. I would like to determine my UK residence status. I read Mr R. Coman's article on his website, which provides excellent information on the issue. However, I still had a lot of queries about the residency. Then, I tried to ask Mr R. Coman some questions on the Coman. Co website. I was surprised to get the answers directly from Mr R. Coman on the same day. Mr R. Coman answered my emails in detailed. He has been very kind and helpful with my queries. It was a excellent and unbelievable experiences with Coman & Co. I am sure the company will provide reliable and excellent service to the clients.
