Background check failed to provide county records, state records and felony records. I ended up hiring a felon who was just released from prison becaue of this website.

Avoid at all costs, this is a SCAM.
I paid for the fast track service and received NOTHING.
These thieving scammers even try to set up a direct debit to scam more money out of you.
You can’t email or call them and they NEVER call you back.
I’ve had to cancel my credit card and my credit card issuer has placed this company on their own scam list and are reporting them to trading standards and the police. AVOID !!!

Sadly a Zero Star is not a possibility. Absolute cowboys and scammers. Helping themselves to £8/month from my account. after full payment for DBS' they never delivered.

Do not touch these Scammers with a barge pole. I clicked on their website to apply for a basic disclosure (they were at the top of the list - which was my first mistake - I should have gone to the government website). As I applied for the Basic application it was showing me an £18 fee - which was acceptable. No other costs were being shown. Before I had even uploaded the relevant documentation necessary for them to process this they had sent me a bill for £65.00. I cancelled the application immediately - didn't upload anything. £73.00 was deducted from my account. They are now offering me 26.00 back - the rest 'Administration Costs'. I have refused to accept this and have contacted my bank. One of the charges was in relation to Driving Licence ID check - which they didn't even have information for. Please, when you google something never take the top option - they are a bunch of crooks. Shouldn't be allowed to operate. I am hoping my bank will refund me. I have now got the Basic Check that I needed - from a Government website - very quickly and at a cost of £18.00. I have cancelled my bank card and the bank are going to issue a new one for me. Clear Check were also about to help themselves to an £8.00 monthly subscription charge from me - you couldn't make it up!

An update on this review: Clearcheck have now refunded me fully - 73.00. Please read the small print on any of these sites or goods/services will cost you far more than you expected it to be. This was a goodwill gesture from them. I was lucky!

An absolute scam, this Company took £65 on 25/8 for a service costing £18. I realised WITHIN AN HOUR that I was not in the correct YouGov site and cancelled IMMEDIATELY with them. There had been no uploading of the documents necessary for a standard DBS Certificate so no service could have been provided. I requested a refund and was offered £27.50. I was also told that my refund was requested on 26/8 WHICH WAS A LIE, I have emails to prove this. I have now been in touch with my bank who are dealing with this for me. They are not only scammers but liars as well. This needs to be reported all over social media to make people aware.

AS SOON AS YOU SIGN UP, YOU ARE POINTED TO OTHER WEBSITES WHICH DEMAND MORE MONEY TO "VERIFY" YOUR DOCUMENTS. WHEN YOU SMELL A RAT AND TRY TO CANCEL THEY LOCK YOU IN WITH THEIR "CLOUD" CONTACT FORM - MEANTIME THEY DEMAND ALL SORTS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION IN ORDER TO EVEN SEND THEM A MESSAGE, AND THEY DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS EVEN IF YOU ATTEMPT TO CANCEL IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT SUBMITTING NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.
MY BANK IS AFTER THEM FOR A FULL REFUND.

Same as a lot of reviews I've read here - paid through the nose for a fast track DBS which wasn't in any way fast, redirected to Verifyonline which I had to pay further money for. I got my documents and thought nothing of it until I got y credit card statement in today and realised they've been helping themselves to £8 monthly! No way to speak to anyone when I rang as they don't give the option so I've sent messages via their site and email telling them to stop and asking for a refund. Serious con

Terrible company, no way of getting in touch with them, very over priced, 4 weeks in and nothing from them, went straight onto the .gov website £18.00 job done in the post. Clear check should not be allowed to trade.

Totally fed up! I completed the Application form which wasn't easy and 5 weeks later I'm still waiting for them to contact me re progress. Its impossible to communicate with them via phone or e-mail. They have taken £168 out of my bank account and I still have no DBS certificate. I sent the required documentation they requested to proceed and they are still asking for the same. How can they live with themselves. Please don't be taken in by them. Disgusting

Clear check is a Scam
Not anywhere near what they claim they are. Debited my account by £93.50 and keeps asking me to upload my documents, and when I did that several times they directed me to a link, Verifyonline which again charged my account with £16.80 and verifyonline will then start with their own endless questions.
When I discovered it wasn't working as it was the 5th day instead of 24 hours service which they advertised, I applied for a refund of my money from Verifyonline which they responded promptly and returned £16.80 back to my account. But Clear check refunded me only £25 and kept my £68.50 till now for service they failed and never provided.
Too bad for Clear check to claim that they are government approved DBS agent rather they are out there scamming the public with their false claims of delivering DBS services in 24 hours

I have purchased a fast track basic dbs check and paid £83 - and they confirmed after payment that it will come between 7 to 14 days. So basically the service is not fast track. I have been trying to contact the company which is impossible! There is a phone number to call but it is absolutely ridiculous because it does not give you any chance to talk to someone. There is no cancellation possibility! They keep sending emails to tell you to upload documents but no chance to cancel. I found this company on web search, I believe on Google search or safari. Google search has to sort something out here because we are trusting their advertisement. The company appears on the first line of the search bar.

I've been scammed by clearcheck. They have taken nearly £100 from me but you can't contact them by phone or email when their service doesn't work! They ask you to verify your documents sp you have to pay another £11 to do this online but then they ask you to do it again! When it doesn't work, you can't contact them at all. They mention a support ticket to make contact but this doesn't work at all!!

Fraud and a worst website for DBS check. I've spent more than £100 for this still they are asking money but response when I'm trying to contact them. Worst ever

Unnecessary company, taking money when the gov website does the same job for a fraction of the price.
Top of advertised companies and government approved to do the checks - but no extra benefit and costs a lot more.

Awful service, Miss sold me my DBS check. Stated £18 on application but then charged me £73.
Reported them to my bank as fraud.

Terrible, paid for fast track on the 5th may and now its the 19th and still not complete. Will never use again

they just gave me a refund because of my post they said, only my digital card means i can pull the money back myself , all of it .! good for me.
they said they would refund £47 as a goodwill gesture as i dont want it but all the other con charges over £118 ish they are keeping , but i can email them if i need more help ha haaa only glad i had that digital card, my advice to you lot, always pay with paypal, apple pay or best revolute and you can always get your own money back in one second, big banks and theior cards are a waste of time and these sharks will finacnially take the p out of you , so online digital cards .!!!!!!!!!

I applied for this service for some basic checks, they take more money in the invoice than says on the webpage. They complicate with the info they give, i.e. they say for an address check a photo ID driver's license is ok then on the online verify online it doesn't say you can use a photo ID. Then I started getting extra charges coming up in my bank statement for 8gbp per month and I haven't applied for subscription. I asked for my money back they haven't refunded me the 8 gbp they started taking and they won't reimburse me the 75 gbp they originally charged and still they haven't checked any of my documents.

Hi, I applied for an ACRO. Was asked on three separate occasions to verify my maiden name which was already given on the application form then received a Basic Disclosure Certificate on Friday which the Spanish Embassy has confirmed is not acceptable for my visa. Cannot get in touch by telephone and they wont answer any of my emails.
Eventually someone has emailed me after I have sent numerous emails yesterday and today and said that I applied for the wrong certificate and they don't do ACRO yet that is the heading on their site and I pressed apply. Also I was asked what occupation I needed this certificate for and I replied none it is for a non lucrative visa. When I flagged this up to the person emailing me this morning I am still awaiting an answer. I already have a Disclosure Scotland Certificate as a Minister and Celebrant. I am annoyed at myself for being taken in and for wasting my time and money and doubt if I have enough time now to apply for the visa. Pretty disgusting really.

Avoid this company!
I did make an application for a DBS with this company in January then when I wanted to get in touch with them I just realise it doesn’t answer to the phone and I cancel that payment since then every month they take out from my account £8 for nothing. I did try to get in contact with them but that is no contact. Most definitely this is a scam. Also I noticed that the only customer assistance that is answering here to this feed box it’s only Allan it’s not that weird?
