The Classic Journeys trip to Morocco provided many unique and wonderful experiences that we could not have planned or executed on our own. It's a trip that's been a dream for awhile. Our excellent guides, Abdou and Mohamed, provided so much knowledge in each location that we felt like we could truly begin to understand the "magic" of Morocco and its people. The small group tour really enhanced what we saw and allowed a more in-depth experience. The booking experience was easy and Jessica and Ariana provided excellent service and attention from beginning to end. This is our second Classic Journeys tour and we would highly recommend any of their itineraries and will plan on taking another adventure with them soon!

Tea in a semi-nomadic shepherd mountain camp, village lunches with Berber families, informative walks through Fes and Marrakech medinas, Sahara glamping after a camel ride, and incidental observance of a holiday sacrifice stand out as favorite highlights of this trip. Lovely lodging, exquisite dining experiences, and a splendid group of randomly self-selected travelers made this trip a pleasure. The only downside was the unavoidable 1000+ km of sprinter van transport split over 3 of the 8 days. Guides were terrific.

Our trip to Cuba in May 2026 was one of the best, if not the best tour we've ever been on. The itinerary was exceptional in its content and flawlessly executed with many small details that enhanced the overall experience.
Talk about a cultural experience! This tour was unique, fascinating, heartbreaking, eye-opening, humbling and extremely fun. We were welcomed with open arms (something I wasn’t sure would happen) and met amazing artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, dancers, a photojournalist who followed Castro, an economist, jazz musicians, chefs and everyday Cuban folks and really got a strong sense of the culture and what life is like during the current crisis. We had air-conditioning, water and all kinds of food choices wherever we went. I would highly recommend this tour and visiting Cuba.

Excellent experienced local guides

Our two guides, Alessandro & Ida, were fantastic! They connected well with all persons on the tour, accompanying any needs and helping translate with the local communities we were able to explore.

Our guides were wonderful. Alessandro is incredibly knowledgeable he is a great story teller. Also, he has a ton of experience, so he was able to intersperse our hikes with stories and rest. That way we could do a pretty challenging hike without feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Ida is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. She is good about making sure all the stragglers are doing okay and never makes anyone feel like they are too slow. Both come from the area, so we got a lot of insider information. The itinerary was busy enough without being over scheduled. We could not have asked for better weather, more beautiful surroundings, more interesting places to explore, or nicer accommodations.

The storybook beauty of Scotland was enriched by our guide, David Spooner, a walking encyclopedia of Scottish history and culture as well as a delightful human being.
This was my first Classic Journeys trip and I loved it. A couple of the stops felt a bit rushed, but overall a huge success. Wonderful accommodations, good meals, and a nice group of curious smart fellow travelers.

We spent a week in Cuba, and although I’ve had high hopes for a trip to Cuba for years, the trip far exceeded my expectations.

The hotels where we stayed (La reserva, Havana and Santa Ana Boutique Hotel, Trinidad) were both beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Our tour guides (especially Audrey and her assistant Attila) were well-organized and knowledgeable. They planned a variety of activities for us, from snorkeling in the Bay of Pigs to getting a look at the smallest bird in the world to a trek to see the fabulous waterfalls of Centinela del Rio Melodioso. Of course, we had several tours in Havana’s famous vintage cars, including a trip to NostalgiCar where they buy, refurbish and rent vintage cars. Also had several visits to artists’ studios and memorable musical performances.

Could go on and on, but you get the drift. I was so impressed with the trip that I’ve already registered for their East Asia tour in the fall.

Our guide,Julia, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She engaged us as a group and individually with humor and grace.
The sites were great and I loved the leisurely walk. Watching the sheep was addictive!
Everyone on the trip was friendly and we got to know each other along the way.
The accommodations were comfortable and the staff cordial. We ate well—too well I think! We had time to ourselves to explore which was great as well.
Everything was arranged well.
I would definitely suggest this trip to friends. I would suggest that they find a trip lead by Julia, if possible. I’m sure that all of your guides are as terrific as Julia, but I found her to be a special person.

We had a relatively large group (12) with 2 guides - both of whom were personable and well informed. The daily tours were always interesting & the scenery spectacular. The driver was also friendly and did a nice job.
One lodging (the 2nd we visited) had an annoying problem with water pressure but, otherwise, all was well.

The Galapagos Islands are amazing on their own--the animals, the plants--, but what made each day exciting was Alfredo and the local guides. Extremely knowledgeable and eager to share their country with us, their skills and patience with novices made each adventure relaxed and fun. The food was outstanding and the hotels warm and gracious.

This was my first experience with Classic Journeys and they exceeded all my expectations! I learned so much on this trip, all while engaging in fun and entertaining activities (snorkeling, hiking, kayaking...). The accommodations (all waterfront hotels!) and food were all top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the off-the-beaten-path locations where we dined. Our guide, Alfredo, was outstanding in his knowledge of all things Galapagos - as were the local guides who joined us on each of the islands. I snorkeled with sea turtles, sea lions, and sharks; hiked a volcanic rim; and learned so much about how my every action impacts our natural world. I left with some great memories of a really fun time in the most beautiful place I've ever visited, but I also returned with a new sense of connection to nature and a renewed determination to serve as a good steward of our natural world.

Our trip to Cuba was amazing! The trip was very well organized, the accommodations, food and transportation (eight different modes including the classic cars) were all top notch. But best of all were the amazing Cuban people we met! Our local guides were fantastic. We met many people that were leading the development of the private sector; car restoration, hospitality, manufacturing, artists, etc... We experienced wonderful musical performances for our small group! Audrey, our tour guide, was amazing before, during and after our trip! We're so glad we went both for the experience but also that we could support the many entrepreneurs we met. We hope Cuba can overcome the current challenges, especially the energy situation. So glad we took this trip!

The Tuscany and Cinque Terre tour was all that we wanted it to be. We enjoyed seeing so many of Italy's treasures, staying at great hotels, and being helped by a superb guide!

The group leader, Audrey was excellent. The local leaders were also quite good. The home visits of the revolution photographer, coffee plantation, local artists, dinner in Trinidad, etc. made the trip very informative providing a great experience.
