Whenever I had a question about the holiday it was answered quickly and comprehensively. It was refreshing to discuss things with a real person and not be directed to FAQs. The holiday arrangements worked without a hitch. We were particularly pleased with standard of accomodation and meals. Our first week was in Hurghada and second week on a Nile cruise. The cruise and tours were very well organised
and they needed to be as the famous Egypt sights are very busy but not to be missed.

A fabulous trip, everything ran exactly as described. We went on the Royal Process which was a lovely ship with friendly staff, clean, and excellent food. Our guide, Hany, was superb. He made sure everyone was happy and safe whilst guiding us around the amazing sites and history that he clearly loves. The rest of our group were friendly and fun and we all enjoyed our time together

We had never heard of classic holidays till a friend recommended it for this very holiday. We went to Egypt and decided to do the lot. Cairo, Luxor cruise and Red Sea to chill. Classic Holidays organised the whole trip and goodness, didn’t they do a great job.
Everything was seamless and when you know a little about Egypt, you will know that’s no mean feat. The flights all worked although the homeward journey started at 1.45 AM on the last day. I suggest Classic give more information regards timings as there are a few early starts and it would be good to be clearer about them. We flew on EGYPTAIR and they were very good. I think there may have been a direct flight direct from Hurghada to Manchester with a different carrier at a better time. Not sure if they could have accommodated that?
Once we reached Cairo there were very helpful guides to get us through customs and into the taxi. The taxi ride, late at night round the Cairo ring road was a huge baptism of fire. Driving with no lights, or dressed up like a Christmas tree, many speed bumps, even on main roads, kamikaze motorbikes, tuck tuck’s and horse drawn carts all made for a very exciting experience. Amazingly we saw almost no accidents, quite incredible although many cars had obviously had more than their fair share of knocks.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Steinberg Pyramids hotel, opposite the new Egyptian Grand Museum (GEM) It was very nice, large with great facilities and beautiful grounds. The room was spacious and well appointed and the food excellent. We went B&B here as we thought we would eat out but really, unless you are experienced or brave I would recommend half board as by the time evening comes we felt much safer inside. Anyway, all perfect with hotel and transfers.
While there we did a pyramid and museum escorted trip. We booked through Viator and again had a superb time. The guide and her taxi man really looked after us and we saw lots and we’re always totally safe.
On or second day we crossed the road to the GEM. We booked taxis through the hotel which were expensive, even after haggling. May be use UBER or for the return, taxi a taxi from outside GEM.
Our transfers to the Airpot and on to Luxor were again, completely well done so thanks again Classic.
Once at Luxor we were picked up and driven to our boat, The Blue Shadow. This was a very tidy boat, well run and very clean and comfortable with lovely staff and food.
All the excursions were just amazing and we were blessed with a top guide Addy and a small group 6. If you can get on an Addy tour then you will be so lucky. He is one of the top guides in Egypt and on trips other guides stopped us to tell us so. Great English and huge knowledge very well conveyed.
We opted for the optional Abu Simbal tour and despite the early start it was unmissable.
After the cruise we added 5 days on the Red Sea. Continuing the theme of ‘nothing is too much trouble’ we were transferred in a taxi, with a driver and guide so the 41/2 hours was much better than 51/2 in a coach.
We picked the Cleopatra Luxury Hotel at Mikadi bay for our relax time. The hotel was stunning and we even managed to get an upgrade from room to suite, without asking. Fab resort and great and unlimited food.
We did not do drinks packages as local beer and wine is more than good enough.
The weather was not great, windy and cool, but nothing anyone could do anything about. The hotel did supply a small heater which really helped.
Return collection and flights were all without a hitch and despite coming home with colds and washing and having to hunt down and prepare our own food now, we had a stunning time. I can thoroughly recommend Classic Holidays. Everything which should have happened did happen and with an apparent ease that is just way above and beyond today. Huge thanks.

Amazing service

We joined a cruise ship called Royal Princess at Luxor. Fantastic over the top Titanic style ship with very attentive crew.
We enjoyed all the buffet style meals with lovely salads too. The ship was spotlessly clean and the cabins spacious and comfortable.
Our guide, Marco, imparted his passion for all things Egyptian, ancient and new.
He was with us for the whole week and everyone appreciated his company, advice and talks.
It was a very affordable and luxurious way to visit impressive temples and sites.

Classic Holidays did an excellent job, from the travel documents and detailed information before the holiday, to seeing us through Luxor airport at the end of our trip. All the travel arrangements were exemplary. We flew into Cairo airport and were met by a representative even before baggage claim who sorted out visas and escorted us through the airport. We stayed in Cairo for three days at the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel which was lovely. We arranged our own excursions in Cairo. We then flew to Luxor to start our Nile trip on Blue Shadow IV; our cabin (310) was comfortable and quiet. The highlight of this part of the holiday was our guide, Adel, who had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Egyptian history and culture. He looked after us extremely well and conveyed his enthusiasm and pride in his country. We very much enjoyed the whole experience.

What an incredible experience from the start to the finish.
The tour was exceptionally well organised, giving support at airport arrivals and departures, a wide range of included trips to historical sites and craft workshops.
The additional tours were well organised and with knowledgeable guides, offering a variety of experiences across a number of sites.
Marco, the tour manager/ guide shared his expert knowledge of Egyptology and love of his country with passion and enthusiasm; and expertly steered the group throughout the tour.
The MS Royal Princess was a delight, the food excellent and crew polite and helpful, what was not to love?!

Seamless logistics from airport to hotel or cruise ship, excellent guides (Marco especially), great excursions, fabulous ship, wonderful food, lovely staff. Faultless from beginning to end.

In country representatives were fantastic ensuring that we were fully aware of time and locations and all transfers ran like clockwork. The local guide was extremely knowledge and in addition looked after us very, very well. A truly 5 star experience

This was a fabulous holiday we visited all the important sites our favourite was the great pyramids of Giza. The Nile cruise was also amazing we visited all the important sites and we did the optional trip to Abu Simbel which was well worth the extra. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did enjoy meal times as we got to spend them with the same people , which we met some very nice people.

Everything about this holiday was brilliant. We loved the boat - the food was excellent with plenty of choices - we had a brilliant guide, and all the tours were well organised and very interesting.

We were lucky to have a really nice group of people on this holiday with us, so all in all, we couldn't complain about a thing!

Excellent service from start to finish. Our guide Aymen was brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very organised. The transfers between hurghada and Luxor were great. The food on the boat was excellent and the staff attentive and polite/friendly. Would definitely recommend your company to anyone that asked.

First time on a cruise and first time in Egypt. We had a fantastic time! I booked this holiday to celebrate a significant birthday for my wife, she had always wanted to see Egypt. I'll be honest I only looked at classic holidays as they had dates available for the time we wanted to be away.

From booking the holiday, to receiving the documentation, being met at Cairo airport, transfers and our Nile cruise, everything went smoothly. We opted to book our own excursions in Cairo rather than book through Classic (Mainly because Classic prices were about twice the price of booking independently) we are seasoned travellers and are used to doing this. For those less confident booking through Classic is an easy option. Our Hotel in Giza (Steigenberger Pyramids) was lovely. Clean, great food with plenty of choice and very friendly staff. Worth pointing out that this hotel is directly opposite the new Grand Egyptian hotel and with a view of the pyramids too.

From Cairo we flew to Luxor and joined the MS Royal Princess for our 7 night cruise. The boat is lovely with a real feel of Agatha Christie, It's a little bit tired but in our opinion this added to its charm. Again the staff are really friendly, sooooo much lovely food. Unless you are a really heavy drinker don't go for the all inclusive drinks package. Between the two of us we spent less than £170 ( all inclusive would have been £220 each! ).

For the first 4 nights there was only the classic group on board- 16 of us with the run of the whole ship. Our local guide Ayman Riad was absolutely amazing, he kept all of us enthralled throughout all of our excursions. Very knowledgable but with a lot of humour and with access to areas we wouldn't have otherwise seen.

We paid onboard for a couple of extra trips, Abu Simple , A very long trip, 4 hours each way but absolutely worth it and Afternoon Tea at The Old Cataract Hotel Aswan, again not to be missed especially as Ayman got us access to the Agatha Christie Suite where she wrote Death on The Nile.

All in all an amazing holiday, we can't thank Classic Holidays, and their representatives in Egypt, enough for an experience we will be talking about for years

From start to finish the co-ordination between Airports, Boats, Hotels and various itineries went like clockwork. Truly impressive as was our guide Aymen a man of great erudition , charm and good humour. If it were possible I'd give the whole experience 12 out of 10

We recently booked the 3-day Cairo and 7-day Nile Cruise package with Classic Holidays, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. From the moment we landed, everything, e.g. the airport pickups, hotel transfers, etc. was seamlessly arranged.

For our accommodation in Cairo, we were offered several 5-star hotels and opted for one near the city center. The agency recommended Sheraton, and it was a fantastic choice, with all major tourist attractions less than 30 minutes away. The hotel facilities were exceptional, especially the gym. Food options were abundant both at and outside the hotel. We appreciated being able to order food from delivery apps. On one occasion, when our delivery was delayed, the hotel staff went above and beyond to contact the restaurant for us.

The Royal Princess cruise gave us a wonderfully relaxing experience. One evening featured a special Egyptian dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed. The excursions included in the package provided incredible values, thanks to our tour guide Ahmed. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and he provided helpful tips to avoid tourist traps and scams which we greatly appreciated. We also opted for an add-on excursion—high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel and it was absolutely worth it.

The only minor drawback was our experience during the add-on Giza Pyramid excursion as we felt the guide (not Ahmed) lacked a bit transparency. For example, we were told that the camel ride would have to be paid through him, and we were taken to a Papyrus shop that he claimed to be a "government institution" but turned out to involve aggressive selling tactics. At first, we thought this might be a common practice, but after spending time with Ahmed during the cruise portion, we realized the difference. That said, this issue was unrelated to Classic Holiday and was handled by a separate local agent.

Overall, we highly recommend Classic Holidays' services to anyone looking for a hassle-free trip to Egypt!
