Horrible customer service
I wanted to gift a watch to my friend on his birthday. So i emailed city watches prior to the purchase to know if i can get the gift receipt so i can give that to my friend for warranty purposes. I was told that yes thats not a problem, simply email them after the purchase is done.
I placed an order on 15th November. Emailed them on the same day about the gift receipt. Got reply next day that my request has been noted.
On 27th November i received that watch but no gift receipt in it. Emailed them back on 28th November. Got a reply Saying someone will get back to me.
Its been 10 days and no one bothered to reply.
Have sent them 3 different emails but every time i get their generic email saying that someone will get back to me.
Feels like they dont give a **** about their customer after they have received the money.
Yes price was cheap but not worth purchasing anything from this company. Would never return back to them, they are not worth of my hard earned money.
Adding reply to your reply Sally:
Stop making fool. What sort of policy is that you cant give gift receipt. I asked you guys before purchasing the watch if i can get the gift receipt and i was told yes i can get. Is your guidelines changed since i placed the order or simply you guys are incompetent.
No point emailing to you guys when your incompetent staff does not bother to help their customer.
That was the first and last purchase for me. Would never return back and make sure i spread the word around about you guys.

NZ Buyers beware of fine print - SO PISSED!
EDIT: So far so good.....company has offered us free shipping to return the watch for repairs.
NZ Buyers beware - I ordered a Tissot watch from these guys (Order number 106142/10567635) with a 2 year international manufacturers warranty. I just received it yesterday (22/11/2021) and it appears to be faulty (something wrong with the crown mechanism). Now I have to either:
a) Pay for repairs here in NZ because the warranty won't cover it since they are not authorized sellers of Tissot Watches;
b) return this watch and ask for a refund (and bear the cost of shipping the watch back to them as well as the initial cost of them shipping it to me. Additionally will also be losing the customs entry fee I already had to pay when I first bought it);
c) or just ship it to them for repairs (again bear the cost of shipping it to them and probably have to pay for customs entry fee once again when its repaired).
I have never been more pissed because every single option will either cost me money (which I should not have to pay for - its not my fault the watch arrived with a defect) and in the end of that I might still be without my husband's Christmas present.

Beware of Return Policy
For NZ ppl - I purchased a watch and wanted to return it but they asked me to pay for return shipping. The charges of returning it which is $65 , I was ready to pay it but then they also mentioned that they will deduct from $270 for shipping the watch from their side which I didn't find fair as it was free delivery. Also, the method of conversation is only via email which takes over 24 hours for reply and then have to wait for another 24 hour if you had any more query.
