Have dealt with Valentina for many years. I feel very lucky that I have found this firm to do business with. She is extremely helpful in every way possible. She always gets back to me promptly whenever I have tried to contact her. On behalf of both myself and my son a massive 'Thank you' for all the hard work you have carried out for us over the years'.

I was happy that all four pieces of my jewellery did well in Chiswick Auctions' sale last week, each very different in character which indicates how diverse and far reaching their customer base must be. Hopefully these items will all be loved by their new owners. Many thanks to the Jewellery department team.

Incredibly poor service, had to email multiple times to get a response, would recommend you use their competitors who have lower fees and a higher level of customer service, will never use again, DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ART

I have brought collection of Steiff bears to valuation office. Last year together with boxes and certificates. I was promised that they will be well looked after. They were divided into 3 lots to put in auction in January. One of the bears had a quill in one paw and note sheet in another sawn in to the paws. Clearly visible stitches. He was a Mozart bear special edition. Unfortunately they did not sell. So I arranged to collect them back, with thought that might try to sell on line. When I came to collect them only one lot was ready , the biggest bears including Mozart, but note sheet was missing from his paw, but stich remained in place. And there were no certificates. I was told that they had some deliveries and no staff to look for certificates and remaining bears. In the email I was promised by one staff member that they will make a priority to find the missing items. I had the bears without certificates which devalues the price. After several requests for the remaining bears and certificates I was refunded the no sale fee, and returned bears to the auction house. Very disappointed with the treatment of valuable items. Just as a warning please take photos of items you bring for sale while you are in the office . And when collecting items. I would not recommend giving them anything of value for sale. Seemingly reputable auction house but very unreliable and uncaring attitude. Beware.

I am an Australian and I took a rare 19 centrury Rock crystal Vase to their rooms to be Auctioned while in London recently.
Amazingly the item was sold for exactly the reserve price I placed on it, even though Chiswick tried to talk me down on the price.
Once sold it took me numerous email to get paid, there was always a reason why why why.
My piece sold for 800Pounds, I received 620pounds. Auction houses I feel are not know for there honesty.

Four weeks to send 2 pictures?!? Seriously?!

I bought 2 pictures at this auction (and requested to pay within 7 days, I paid immediately). 4 weeks later … the lots have not been shipped and I don’t have any news … Seriously? I am wondering whether this is a serious business or a scam.

I first contacted Chiswick Auctions via their website in March 2026. My enquiry was promptly acknowledged by Jo Lloyd (Specialist, Design and Studio Ceramics), who subsequently provided valuations on the items I had photographed.
A few weeks later I met Jo, and I was very impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. On the auction day I watched it on webcam, and Jo did a magnificent job attaining good prices on the lots.
This was my first experience dealing with an auction house, and I have since been recommending Chiswick Auctions. I am now in the process of sorting other items that I wish to offer for sale.
This is a company I can trust, they work with you and for you. Jo is certainly an asset to the company.

UNINTERESTED AND UNRESPONSIVE, How many times do you think it reasonable that you have to contact a company before they respond or put your item into an auction, or respond to say they have it, so for me on my 2 interactions they first person Mary Pelletier stopped responding, so we took it to her boss Austin Farahar, we sent the item in December 2025 and still no response to confirm that they have recieved it. The other time we contacted them we have pointed out that there has been no response and recieved and email see below correspondence - no apology- in 2024 we consigned pictures for auction some were sold in June I had to chase them 4 times to get them to send back the rest of the picture unsold. Each of the e-mails did not elicit any response - I am assuming that they have no competitors and would suggest to anyone thinking of setting up a business competing that they are ripe for competition as Chiwick Auctions Clearly do not care ...

Jo Lloyd has an enthusiasm and genuine interest in her subject and items she takes on to sell . She also has an ability to take in items suitable for other sales and show a love of items that the seller has to let go .. this is particularly important to the seller.
It was particularly exciting to have the follow through of Jo Lloyd as the auctioneer for the items she had taken in, grouped well, and as she was an impressive and sympathetic auctioneer with exceptionally good results .

I contacted Austin after a bereavement left me with a large amount of photographic equipment. Feeling overwhelmed, I couldn't have found a better person. His knowledge, enthusiasm and sensitivity throughout the process was amazing. He achieved fantastic results with many international bidders. A brilliant service. Highly recommended.

I had a few bits and pieces to sell of no great value. I was treated with the utmost courtesy as if I had a lot of valuable jewellery. I was very impressed by Raphaëlle Godfrey. She was very knowledgeable and was able to give me guidelines of what she thought my jewellery was worth. She kept me informed on a regular basis of what was happening. I would highly recommend Chiswick Auctions and in particular Raphaëlle.

Easy buying experience, item arrived quickly, very well packed and as described.

This was my first experience of buying with Chiswick Auctions and at this moment I won’t be using them again. I won a lot in their Autographs/Memorabilia auction and paid for shipping. When I received notification they had shipped the package I was very excited. But this was short lived as I soon discovered they had sent me the wrong item. I contacted Chiswick Auctions who were very apologetic for the mix up and advised they would remedy the situation. I understand these things can happen from time to time so I accepted their explanation. However, they only really seemed concerned with me returning the wrongly received item. I went out of my way to repackage and return this at the Post Office the very next morning and they had the item back with them within 24 hours. I was assured my item had been located in transit before delivery could be attempted (as it had also been sent out to the wrong person in the mix up). I trusted that my item would be returned and promptly dispatched. However, 7 days have passed and I’ve heard not a whisper. I sent a follow up email but no response, just radio silence. I now don’t believe I was told the correct information and they probably don’t know the whereabouts of my item at the current time. I have lost confidence in Chiswick Auctions and despite being assured they would sort everything the opposite is true. I can no longer be sure that the item I paid for is in the same condition as it could have been handled by multiple different people for all I know. I will therefore be asking for a full refund including any fees I paid and shipping.

I’ve had the pleasure of working Chiswick Auctions over the last few weeks and they couldn’t have been a greater help. In particular Mary has been amazing, helping me discern details and history of my item. She has always been easy to communicate with and very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and a natural. I’ll definitely be coming back to them after my experience this year.

Excellent auction house ! Really paying attention to details. Excellent customer service and very responsive to all my questions. I was lucky to win the bid on a symbolist 19th century painting. In particular I would like to mention Ellie Smith who has been wonderful to deal with. Her knowledge in 19th century paintings is impressive. She has been extremely pleasant and fast in addressing all my concerns and questions. The web is also very good and it worked very well for me.

A great experience from start to finish of my Coulson painting purchase. In fact the in house packing and posting was an art in itself, just superb. I would recommend this auction house without any hesitation whatsoever. 10/10.

This was my first time selling with Chiswick Auctions and I can safely say it was a positive experience from start to finish. Working with Raphaelle was so easy and professional. She took the time to assess each of my pieces and provided me a thoughtful and well-researched valuation. Once a price was agreed, she handled all of the pre-auction preparations including the catalogue listing and photos. There was a clear line of communication throughout and I was very happy with the resulting sale.

After making a hash of bidding on-line for an item I was very keen to acquire, I phoned the auction house and was put in touch with Tracey who managed to put things right very quickly and efficiently with the minimum of fuss.
After being successful I had occasion to make an enquiry concerning payment on the shipping requirements, which she also sorted out. I was impressed and thankful for such a friendly and helpful service. Excellent work.

I contacted Chiswick Auctions to arrange a phone call back as I didn’t want to miss my lot. Explained to Katy the lot number and asked the rough time of the lot. After she had helped me I put the phone down and realised not only had I given her the wrong lot number but also I wasn’t going to be in at that time and could she change the number to a friends number. Katy did it in stride, not only that but telling me there would be no problem at all. She was right, I won the lot. Thank you Katy, you’re a credit to your company. Richard
