Absolute rubbish. Supposed to be a company based in the UK, but they are not. It took week to be delivered and from China. Don’t not buy anything from these criminals.

Please do not buy from these filthy scamming Scum .
The clothes you will get look nothing like the pictures on site they are cheap and nasty fit for FA.
I have cleaning cloths in my home that are better material than what these robbing B!€££¥₩$ use.
Chaps of China is what they should actually be called as all the garments are shipped from there.

Well I can only agree with previous reviews, steer clear. Ordered what looked like a lovely waistcoat for wedding. Too small and quality dreadful. Current situation I returned item to return address on package and emailed. Turns out should have had permission! Apparently they wont get it so no idea what the return address is.

As others have said this company is a SCAM, send you cheap crap that's not fit for anything other than the bin then tell you to return to China which would cost more money and as the post office told me unlikely to ever get there, they tell you they will give you 20% back but the item isn't worth 1p. This company needs closing down before more people loose money to these scammers.

I would give this zero stars if I could. I ordered a coat on 15th March 25 for a funeral on 24th March 25. The website states the address as London so I figured a week for delivery! I had no idea it was coming from china. The telephone number on the website comes up as France! What is this company? It didn't arrive until 2nd April 25. I have sent 3 emails in total and have had no responses. I am so annoyed I did not check the reviews on here first. If I do get a response and they refund my item I will edit this review but for now anyways it's a do not recommend!!

As one of the other reviews state. It doesn't state that the products get shipped from China giving it is a UK registered company.
I ordered a suit from here on 13th March as I had a funeral on the 1st of April as I wanted a quick and fairly priced suit as it was for the 1 day.
To find out that it didn't even turn up on time and when I went to return find out it's being shipped back to China which is going to be a cost no doubt, at which point they offer a stupid percentage to not send back...
This is definitely 1 way to make a profit on people knowing people won't want to send back and get a proportion of what they paid in fist place..
DEFINATLY DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE..

Terrible, terrible company to be avoided at all costs.
This company has a UK name and UK address on their website but buyers beware as this is NOT a UK company.
I ordered socks as part of a birthday present for my son sized 38-45 (UK 5-11). My son is only a 9, so well within the size listed.
After waiting a week, I checked tracking to find they were being shipped from China, a fact that was NOT stated on the website. I contacted the company as I had specifically chosen a UK company, only to be told 'we keep our stock in warehouses in key locations overseas' but made no comment about the clear lack of transparency on their website. They stated goods arrive within 7-10 days.
The socks finally arrived over 2 weeks after ordering without any labels or anything to indicate their size etc.
When my son went to try them, he couldn't easily get them over his heel, and when he did, the heel was about 5 cm down his foot (He's a slim, young man). I tried them on and they just fit me and I'm a UK 5.5. They are very obviously not the size stated.
After contacting the company to get a refund, I was offered a discount to keep them, to which I replied saying no (what use are socks that don't fit?!!) and again requesting return for a full refund. They replied again with another offer and a praying hands emoji! I said no, I had requested a full refund due to the fact they were not as described. They replied again with an attachment for returns at my expense to return to China (It would cost me £8.15) and with another unwanted offer (and emoji) to keep the socks with a discount off my next order (are they joking??).
I replied again stating that I wanted no more offers and just wanted a return label and a full refund. They have been in touch again stating that returns incur extra expenses which they cannot cover. Obviously the cost of shipping to China is expensive, but as customers are not aware in the first place that goods are coming from China, coupled with the fact that the goods are not as described, I fail to see how this is relevant.
I have scrolled through every page on their website. It is portrayed as being a UK company. However, the contact phone number is for France and the goods are being shipped from China.
Customer service is appalling and the company is absolutely not what it says it is. AVOID at all costs.

Only order if you’re happy to receive goods that are different to that pictured on their website! Ordered blue loafers, what turned up were more like slippers! 20% refund offered to save the hassle of posting back to China! Just wish I’d read all the reviews on here first, it’s the same story over and over again!

Same as everybody here. Total scam company that needs shutting down. I have raised a complaint with my bank card people and Trading Standards who are taking it seriously. The item received was frankly a joke probably made by child labour in China. Only fit for the bin. The same people seem to be behind Harpers of Manchester and Harpers London. See Trustpilot reviews in those names.

Scam Company based in China, will not allow cancellations does not have UK address for returns.

It's certainly not chaps of London but it is chaps of China,been waiting 11 days so far for my item,and reading reviews on here,when it arrives looks like it will be in the bin.

It's not chaps of London, it's chaps of China and there sizing is way off, the returns process has been made to be as awkward and frustrating as possible and you will have to send your item back to china tracked , they will bombard you with emails offering discount not to send items back despite me telling them countless times I'm not interested in discount as I cannot trust there sizing, waste of money, avoid buying from this company.

Been trying to return my item but not getting any response at all..sent numerous emails still not getting response… even though it says not to return the item without getting in touch….do not waste your money and time on this site… it’s a rip-off

Awful company! AVOID!! tried to cancel straight after ordering as all their items come direct from china. If you want to return anything it must be returned to china. Took 20days to receive the item. The quality of goods was awful. Make it nearly impossible to contact them or get a refund. I’m seeking advice on how to get my money back. Do not use this company. Such a scam!

Absolutely appalling quality and return policy is a total scam. Avoid at all costs....

Ordered a denim jacket which took two weeks to arrive, the quality is appalling. Although the company registration details are London, the contact telephone number is French and goods are shipped from China. Nowhere in their website or emails does it say that goods are being shipped internationally. Avoid like the plague.

Very poor quality product which took 4 weeks to be delivered from China. Ordered a checked fleece over shirt which looks absolutely nothing like the image advertised. Returns process is awful - items have to be return posted at buyers expense to China which is not economical and i dont think legal either ?. I will use the shirt as extra padding for the dog bed as its so bad looking i cannot wear in public.

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing. Ordered a suit for £99 that looked nothing like the pictures when it arrived, poor quality, not vaguely similar. Then kept offering me refunds of part of the cost to stop me returning and claiming for a full refund. Then I sent the item back tracked and they are saying “it might be lost in transit” so can’t refund. Scam

Absolute SCAM ARTISTS AVOID! I ordered what should’ve been a smart cotton cardigan with a collar however over three weeks later I received what I can only describe as a cheap oversized blazer if I can even call it that! The original photo showing what I thought I’d ordered was night and day to what I received, an absolute disgrace. If I was able to upload a photo of a comparison you would laugh your head off. Don’t waste your time trying to contact them as they are based in the far east however PLEASE contact your bank, credit card provider or whoever you use and open a dispute and if your not successful appeal as you are highly likely to receive a refund and stop these scam clowns from conning us

WARNING: Chaps of London – Avoid this Company!

I ordered a waistcoat from Chaps of London that was advertised with an adjustable back strap, but the item I received was not as described. This is a clear breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

❌ Refused to provide a UK return address (despite being a UK-registered company).

❌ Forced me to return the item to China at my expense, which is illegal under UK law.

❌ Repeatedly tried to avoid a refund, offering 15%, 20%, and 25% refunds instead of processing a full refund as legally required.

UK buyers, beware! I am filing complaints with Trading Standards and ASA and have initiated a chargeback with my payment provider. If you've been misled too, report them.
