To all those teachers out there wondering if they should pay for a Chalkie subscription… the answer is YES. Have I given it 5 stars… not yet… it’s new and ironing out some little glitches, but it is excellent. I have 25 years of teaching experience, so I say this as a teacher that planned prior to any of these tools in the olden days 🤭. It is a wonderful tool for helping you plan purposeful lessons, useful open-ended activities and games and worksheets that support your lesson. You can input all the instructions, examples you have previously created, syllabus references etc and you can make edits and changes as you go. It saves you time and gives you some personal time back. You can/must review and tweak everything you create, but that’s just good practice as you all know. Don’t hesitate… I do think this is a useful tool that is worth the investment.

Chalkie has been an absolute game-changer. As a science teacher, our curriculum changes far too frequently, and we're constantly trying to prepare lessons that align with new syllabus dot points. I have used Chalkie to create a unit of work for algebra and transformations for year 7 V9 curriculum with adjustments included for year 3 & 4 level students. The PowerPoint slides are engaging and easy to follow, they are fully editable which is great. So easy to use.

Excellent to help me save time with such a hectic schedule and also if you have to cover a lesson last minute

I work in a Diverse Learning Unit in High School. My students are working at prior stage levels, but we want to make sure they are accessing the same topics as the mainstream students. Chalkie has made my job so much easier. I am able to set literacy levels and upload my mainstream programme, which Chalkie will then adjust to the level I need for my students who have significant langauge deprivation due to hearing loss and being refugees. I am so grateful. It has saved me thousands of hours work.
