Highly recommend

I would not recommend Celtic Core Systems / Steve Grant based on our experience.

We appointed Steve to build the website and also paid him upfront for eight branded T-shirts. We paid upfront partly because Steve was based in the same business centre as us at the time and we believed we were dealing with someone local whom we could trust.

Before agreeing to the website work, we specifically asked whether the website, domain and associated assets would belong our business We were told that they would.

Unfortunately, the experience that followed was extremely stressful and involved repeated delays, missed promises and significant difficulty getting control of our own website and domain.

The website project and domain were originally held within Steve’s Lovable workspace rather than our own. We later discovered that our live website was sharing the same Lovable workspace and credit pool as other client projects, including an ONYX FITNESS project. Lovable confirmed to us in writing that projects in the same workspace share resources and that our website could therefore be affected by activity elsewhere in that workspace.

We eventually had to deal directly with Lovable, upgrade our own workspace, obtain the appropriate access, transfer the domain into out business workspace ourselves and reconnect the website. We now have the domain and website properly under our own control.

We also paid £140 upfront on 3 August 2026 for eight T-shirts. Despite several promised delivery dates, the T-shirts were still not supplied within the deadlines we gave.

Communication throughout was extremely frustrating. We were repeatedly told matters would be sorted that day or shortly afterwards, but deadlines and promised updates repeatedly passed.

I would also advise businesses to be careful about exactly who they are corresponding with. During our dealings I received an email under the name William Grant, as well as correspondence involving Steve Grant. I have retained the emails, messages, payment evidence and screenshots relating to our experience.

This review reflects our own documented experience as a paying business customer.

Based on that experience, I would not use Steve Grant / Celtic Core Systems again and I would not recommend them to another business.

My advice to any business commissioning a website is to make sure from day one that the domain, hosting/workspace, website project and administrator accounts are registered in your own company’s name and account, rather than relying on the developer to transfer them later.

William was a nice friendly person with a wealth of experienced and knew his job well. I would have no problem in recomending him.

Absolutely amazing service!!
Having moved to a different broadband service I was unable to get my printer to connect to my iPhone. I sent out a distress post to a local news page on Facebook and Celtic Core Systems responded offering help. For no charge at all someone managed to connect me in no time at all. Friendly guy, certainly knows his technology. Thank you.

Steve is always helpful and ready to give new advice --- known him for years and he is always like that.
