It looks like a lot of genuine people who used to be there years ago left it. Even though J4Meet.com
and some other serious dating platforms do not deliberately position themselves as sites for Catholics it's easier to find Catholic women with strong family values there. I had a stroke of luck on it. So now I understand that I should have not trusted the name and the misleading motto of Catholic Match. It's not a safe way to meet genuine singles. The only people who are active there are money-hungry scammers.

It used to be a USER FRIENDLY site. Now it's all about profits. You used to be able to see when a person was last active. Now they don't show it as a way to give the illusion that there are more active users than there actually are. Anything for a buck I guess. They show you if someone was active today. That's it. So if someone wasn't active for 2 days, you have no way of knowing if they've been inactive a year or just a couple of days.

On top of that, now there's a minimum length of first message. So you have to spend time putting together a longer message for people whom you have no idea whether they're even active (unless they were active on that specific day).

They can do a much better job serving their members in my opinion.

Additionally, they take forever to approve new profiles and photos. The manipulative part? When you preview your own profile, you see the changes you've made. However, those changes may not be active for others to see. You have no way of knowing. They really need to approve these types of things more quickly.

1. Lack of local matches and small database. 2. Changed rules where only allowed 1 message initially if no reply, no additional chances(you are blocked), forced to have a minimum of 125 words in the 1 message allowed. Theory is per CM is if someone is interested they will reply after 1 message. They block you if you go outside the 15 year recommended age gap and claimed they did not. Much better sites out their, this is being poorly run, bad decisions.

This website does not follow GDPR laws. I deleted my account on their website and later tried to register another account, only to find out that they had stored my phone number in their database and would not allow me to register again with said phone number. I e-mailed their support team, explaining the issue and asking them to delete my phone number, and they started asking me why I wanted to register another account. I told them that I don't owe them any explanations, as long as I deleted my previous account, and I requested that they delete my phone number from their database. Their response was that they have blocked my IP and I am not allowed to use their site anymore. Stay away from this site! They will keep your data even after you delete your account.

It’s a dead end, waste of time. Also expensive.

The men never respond to your likes or messages. I had one conversation with one person who had obviously lied about his age. He asked me what year it was….

Why did you charged my credit card for $95.39 without my authorization today February 27, 2026? I called & left voicemail message. I sent an email & I was told that my email will be answered within 2 days. Being today is Friday does it mean I have to wait until Tuesday?This is a serious matter charging ones credit card without member's authorization & membership still active for the next 3 months. It will be greatly appreciated if you can investigate this matter & if you can stop charges on my credit card & not wait 2 days. I didn't agree for automatic renewal. It's a shame for a Catholic website doing this taking advantage & scamming the elderly.

I would say that 50% of men do not agree with the Catholic teachings/dogma on sex before marriage and contraception. They should not be on the site. They are on there because they don't want a used and been around woman. The app should do a better job of filtering who does not agree with the Church's teaching and guide them towards another app. I hope it's not about the $ that they allow people to actually disagree on contraception and sex before marriage.

I paid 30 bucks for one month....I thought. It was a blankedy blank Subcription and had an automatic RENEWAL after one month. I just threw away money as I cancelled the "Premium membership" after one day as I feared this SO CALLED Catholic Christian Company....screw them.

Folks don' fall for paying for one month as they will steal your money with AUTOMATIC RENEWALS which they don't tell up front when paying for one month. Thanks.

CatholicMatch feels like a ghost town. Most of the men on the platform are completely passive or simply not active at all. The biggest issue is the lack of a basic “last active” feature, so you never know if you’re looking at an active user or someone who abandoned their account months ago.

The experience feels outdated, slow, and honestly quite frustrating. Other dating apps are much more active, responsive, and transparent. I’m glad I didn’t spend money here, because the platform seriously needs improvement before it can be considered useful.

Was targeted by many scammers. Very age discriminatory. Lacks so many basic features that other sites have.

The site deletes profiles whenever it wants and gives you feedback that you can never use the site again because you didn’t pass security checks, but they’re really doing is picking and choosing who they allow to be on the site based on personal preference race, etc. they call themselves a Christian dating site yet they discriminate against people. This is not godly and hopefully people will realize that it’s not an app to be participating in. I’ve notified my church as well as the archdiocese of Lafayette and Indianapolis.

Company fails to provide even basic vetting of profiles. Using Google reverse imaging 20-30% of new profiles are fake. 'Matches' that are real profiles are not individuals that meet requested criteria. Weird profiles questions provide limited insite into what the individual likes as activities.

Avoid at all cost. My suspicion is this so called dating site us a scam as well as some of the women who join. The Ratings for CatholicMatch.com are less than 2. I will ask for my hard earned cash back. I was looking for a local friend who might be Catholic. Instead I received phone calls from 3 women who wanted cash. A usual online phishing site. Fortunately I didn't give them one penny. This site could be a North Korean located site. It's a Valentines Day Massacer. A masquerade to put you from as much cash as they can. Ill sue them if they don't respond and contact the FBI. Tom

This site has poor matching features. You can't communicate with people who are older or younger, which seems quite hypocritical. Overall, it's very disappointing

I am really disappointed with this app. I have had a paid subscription since 12/24. But I also subscribed 2 years ago so there has been a break. But I am surprised to find the same men that were on this site 2 years ago. My main issue here is the lack of response and initiative by the men. The site does offer courses/classes on various subjects that could help with the dating experience in general, but they are offered very late at night (EST) and also require a premium subscription. I am not sure how many profiles are legitimate and the lack of interaction is really a problem.

If the site is Sydney based, payment should be in AUSTRALIAN dollars not American. It’s nothing more than a money grab so don’t waste time. !,

How can they improve? Let's start by being honest.
They are owned by Match. That in itself would have been a warning for me. Beware! Look out!
Match has me on a bad guy list because I once submitted a dispute thru my credit card for their automatic renewal policy without my consent. I subscribed for one year, not for a lifetime.

As just about every other review has described, the people who run this site are unfathomably extreme COMPLETE JERKS who do the EXACT OPPOSITE of Christ's teachings. It is mind-blowing how anyone can claim to represent Christianity, while obstinately completely rejecting how Christ said to treat others.

No matter how respectfully you treat everyone on the site, if you’re on there long enough you WILL eventually be banned for life, with no explanation for why, with no recourse, no discussion, no empathy, no compassion – they will treat you extremely coldly, as if you’re just a number, and as if you’re a bad person – but with no explanation why.

If you ask them to have compassion and work with you, ask for an explanation, ask to talk it out, they will simply reply that they’re “concluding this correspondence” and then ignore any further pleas for assistance, compassion, empathy. They are not Christians – they wholeheartedly reject how Jesus said to treat others. And they will do this to YOU if you’re on there long enough.

I even sent them a HAND-WRITTEN LETTER respectfully pleading with them to show some mercy and compassion, explaining that I didn’t know what I did wrong but I would avoid doing it again if they told me what it is. No response. They continued to ignored my emails.

Please don’t give them your money. They need to learn the hard way that “the customer is always right”. They give Catholics a bad name.

Especially the customer assistance employee Mariette Rintoul. Look her up on the Catholic Match Facebook page. She’s the personification of the term “Karen”. A cold, pompous, self-righteous jerk who believes the world revolves around her and she can “play God” with people’s lives, on a whim. She puts on the trappings of Christianity, while entirely rejecting the social teachings of Christ. A hypocrite. A mockery of Christianity.

Do not give this vile organization your money. There are many other dating sites and apps that are full of Catholics, and are not run by hypocritical jerks.

Trash site. I think they actively hate Catholic marriage and are trying to prevent people connecting. Issues: Most people are on free accounts, so can't message you, can't see likes, can't do anything. However there is no distinguisher so you can tell free vs. paid accounts. So you will inevitably waste your precious time and emotional energy messaging dead free accounts that can't even see that you tried to contact them. And if someone WRITES that they have a free account in their bio, well, that's against the rules!
VPNs are also banned, so they hate your privacy, too.
Massive moneymaking scam with no Catholic ethos, at all.
