My experience wiFour Months Waiting for a Simple Solution That Never Arrivedth Cartoon Kingdom has…
My experience with Cartoon Kingdom has been extremely frustrating and deeply disappointing.
In November 2024, I reported that a statue of Lucky Luke arrived with clear factory defects. The head of the dog Rantanplan was damaged and the horse’s reins were also defective straight out of the box.
From that moment, what followed has been months of delays, excuses, and promises that were never fulfilled.
Initially I was told they would try to obtain replacement parts, but that they could not deal with it at the moment because Christmas was approaching and Chinese factories would not respond. Despite my doubts about that explanation, I decided to wait patiently.
When I contacted them again in January, the answer changed: they could not get the replacement parts. As an alternative solution, I located a professional statue restoration specialist, Un Mundo a Otra Escala, who quoted €120 (€60 per piece) for a proper repair. Anyone familiar with statue restoration knows this type of work involves reinforcement, sanding, reconstruction, repainting and finish matching.
The manufacturer refused to cover the repair cost and asked me to find someone cheaper, while offering no solution themselves.
After several more weeks of waiting, on February 4th I was told that they had finally found the replacement parts and that they would be shipped.
Today, March 9th, the customer confirms that nothing has been received. After more than four months since the original report, the problem remains completely unresolved.
Defects can happen in manufacturing — that is not the real issue here. The real problem is the complete lack of reliable after-sales support: constant delays, shifting explanations, and commitments that simply never materialize.
For collectors, retailers, and anyone considering buying their products, it is important to understand that if something goes wrong, resolving the issue may turn into a very long and exhausting process.
Based on this experience, the after-sales service of this company has been far below the standards that should exist in the high-end collectible statue market.
Buyers should take this into account before trusting them.
