Yes some people have amazing things to say about them - BUT they are Swiss Based Criminlas who deliberately target people to sign up with authority and then. Debit there bank accounts for subscriptions against what they claim are discounts-
ITS LIES- you can get the same discount from the company you are actually booking through! Check both Companies on UK Companies House - they don’t even pay any Taxes in the UK yet they continue to STEAL - and DEFRAUD from innocent web users - if they did this on the High Street they would be Lynched! THIEVES- based abroad! Someone else got hold of my card details and used my card for subscription and discounts - I told them I have never been to that country and they still refuse to refund me! MY Bank says I should sue them and raise a court action in UK - I have spent weeks and weeks trying to get them to see there mistake - THEY ARE CRIMINALS - Switzerland - DONT USE THEM! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Absolutely disgusted. Didn’t realise by choosing their cheapest option for a hotel I had to pay a £100 subscription fee. That was a year ago. Phoned to cancel it but after a long argument was given a partial refund and vouchers which I have never used. Just been charged another £100 for new subscription and after two weeks of phone calls cannot get a refund but they have promised me they have now cancelled my account and won’t renew it again next year. Total £150 for absolutely nothing.

Reise über Opodo gebucht. Vor Reiseantritt trifft ein Ereignis ein. So dass eine Umbuchung der Rückreise dadurch notwendig ist. Weder Opodo noch die Fluggesellschaft Etihad wollen etwas unternehmen. Beiden wird angeboten eine mögliche Umbuchungsgebühr zu übernehmen. Beiden werden 2 Tage angeboten, an denen die Rückreise stattfinden kann. Rückreise von 17.09 auf den 19.09 oder 20.09. zu verschieben.

Kundenservice und Kundenzufriedenheit sind Fremdwörter für diese Unternehmen.

Daher NIE wieder.

Wer trotzdem was mit den bucht, selber Schuld und viel Erfolg.

Terrible, as with others, they refused to give me the car on technicality in the documentation and refused to refund as by the time i contacted Opodo it was 11.10 am and my collection was 11.00 am. So, by the time Sixt at Heathrow refused me the car and I contacted Opodo they said too late, money lost as per T&C;s

Absolutely terrible, AVOID this third party scammers. Booked and paid for car rental in Sicily and they refused to give me the car as my credit card name was not matching my documents, it was initial on first name. American Express did not help as there was no contract with Opodo (T&C small print)it is their get out clause for any redress. Lost my money and had to rent another car from a reputable firm at the airport.

Sharks.. drag you to monthly payments that you cannot cancel. Be careful dealing with Opodo no matter how careful you are

A very bad experience, I had a flight from Bucharest to Tel Aviv, the flight was canceled, I tried to contact the company, they didn't answer me, they didn't even refund my money, they didn't give me another flight, the worst company, the worst experience I've ever had

Disgraceful customer service - they keep sending you to a phone number that doesn’t exist!!! Avoid at all costs

Terrible "service". We reserved a car through Opodo - paid in full for the 5 day rental of a Jeep Compass and got a confirmation of the rental agreement. However when we arrived at Milan Malpensa airport desk to pick up the keys, the agent at Drivalia refused to honor the rental agreement stating that "our system thinks the card is a prepaid debet card" even though it clearly says credit on the card itself. I can't do anything about it and you will not get the car! I called Opodo and they offered no assistance, just said we'd have to find a car with another company and pay the price difference ourselves. We could apply for a refund of the rental price of the car we had already paid for, but it might take at least 3 weeks and a lot of hassle. I can't recommend anyone to do business with these companies. We ended up renting a car from Budget at a significantly higher price for a smaller car, but there was no problem accepting the credit card there (or in the other rentals in Italy and France that we had used on our 2 weeks road trip).

I used a popular comparison website to search for the best deals for car hire in Turkey for a weekend trip 13-16 June 2025. A few other companies topped Opodo on price but I went with Opodo as I believed them to be a trusted, well established company. How wrong I was. They used Right Cars to fulfil my order (I've done a review about them too), who essentially scammed me out of 900 Euros. On 21 July 2025 (after allowing ample time for the refund), I approached Opodo for assistance with this, since my contract is with them, but received absolutely none. Initially, it's extremely difficult to contact this company but when you do, expect nothing. I was told that this wasn't their problem, they won't be investigating and that it's down to me to try to get my money back from Right Cars. I pointed out that they should not be using Right Cars who I have subsequently learned from other reviews, perform the same scam on lots of people (credit card doesn't work, conveniently so they say they'll take 900 Euros from a debit card) and they should want to investigate their partner companies who are scamming people out of large sums of money. I believe that Opodo should refund my money and then they should try to recover it from Right Cars. When I said that I wanted to escalate this issue and make a complaint, the "customer service" rep hung up on me!

Do not use these guys. Kept 25% of my booking fee even when my flight was cancelled and I was late. Scandalous that you can get away with this

Booked a vehicle for a week and because I was late for collecting by an hour they cancelled my booking AND want to keep the money for the whole week.

This so outrageous. They plan to keep my money AND RE-HIRE THE SAME vehicle to someone else.

Unfortunately I wasn’t the only person this happened to - people in front of me experienced the same thing.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Betrug, habe rechtzeitig das Prime Abo gekündigt. Per App, per Mail. Das Geld wurde dennoch abgebucht ( abgezockt).

I was automatically enrolled into Opodo Prime when booking a flight in May 2025, with no clear opt-out. I was then charged for a year’s subscription after a “free trial” I didn’t knowingly accept.
I tried to cancel within the cooling-off period, but Opodo refused to refund me and falsely claimed I had used a £45 voucher (I haven’t). Their customer service was slow and ignored UK consumer law.
I’ve now had to escalate this to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and my credit card provider under Section 75.
Be very cautious when booking — check for hidden Prime subscriptions.

Verbrecher leider. Neben unauthorisierten Versuchen, von meiner Karte Beträge einzuziehen kommt man außerdem aus der PRIME Mitgliedschaft nicht mehr heraus. Online bei „Mitgliedschaft kündigen“ hat es nicht funktioniert (ich habe vor über einem Jahr gemacht und es ist „wie von Geisterhand“ wieder angesprungen und es lief trotzdem weiter). Ich habe Bildschirmfotos davon. Und wenn man eine Email mit Kündigung zur Mitgliedschaft schreibt, dann gibt sich Opodo damit auch nicht zufrieden und sagt dass man das Prime Abonnement nur unter Anruf kündigen könnte. Wenn man anruft, dann ist man in der Warteschleife- ich gestern für über 1h!!! Und keiner hebt ab, um die Kündigung entgegenzunehmen. Es ist ein absoluter Wahnsinn und Schande dieser Verein.

Booked a car and was 15 mins late so they refused to let us have it and took all of the money for a 7 day car hire and refused to refund any.

Wenn das nicht Betrug ist... Auf keinen Fall sollte man die Optionen Stornieren und flexibles Ticket buchen. Beim Stornieren bekommt man einen großen Teil des Geldes nicht zurück und beim sog. 'Flexiblen Ticket', das natürlich teurer zu buchen war, wird einem die problemlose Umbuchung angezeigt. Dann erhält man irgendwann eine Mail, ohne Antwortmöglichkeit, man wäre mitten in der Nacht angerufen worden. Dann muss man sich über die Hotline, was nervenaufreibend ist, zurückmelden, weil es keine andere Kontaktmöglichkeit gibt und dann verkaufen die einem dann das Ticket nochmals für 100 Euro mehr. Was soll man anderes machen also diese Offerte anzunehmen? Dann kommen nochmals 30 Euro Ausreisesteuer darauf. Dann erhält man tatsächlich das Ticket zugeschickt und sieht, dass es gar nicht 100 Euro teurer war, sondern genau gleich viel kostete wie das ursprüngliche Ticket. Wer hat dann also diese 100 Euro erhalten? Ich kann nur vor dieser Firma warnen. Der Chatbot funktioniert übrigens auch nicht, d. h. man ist ganz schön aufgeschmissen. Ich denke es ist besser gleich bei einer ordentlichen Airline zu buchen und sich solche Zwischenhändler zu sparen. Das spart auch viel an Nerven.
