For everyone wanting to buy a reliable and sound car do not go to Car Planet. There is a dedicated Facebook Page with over 100 customers who have horrifying experiences with Car Planet. They put my life at risk through to lack of due care or attention when servicing their cars. The staff have no care nor want to help in anyway. The second the car is bought, the After sales team are difficult and have lied to me on several occasions. Please take my words of advise and the other 100 of people that have been affected by Car Planet and stay clear.

After speaking to Kamul for a short while we established that the car I'd booked to drive wasn't actually what was I after so we did a lap of the lot, had a good chat, and ended up back inside to discuss our options.
He was polite and easy to speak to and knowledgeable on what options would work best for me, both financially and for my personal lifestyle.
The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because there were periods, even after paying a deposit for the car, that I was left sitting alone, waiting for someone to come back to me.
I would not use again
I would not use again. There were numerous small things about the car that a garage would have picked up on.

Good place to buy from if you find the car and trim you’re after
Good place to buy from. They will try and accommodate the process to ensure a successful purchase from them instead of going elsewhere.
A few things could be improved though in terms of cleanliness of car upon collection, proper application of the Supaguard protection as I had to go back again to have a few spots cleaned inside and outside as it was clearly rushed.
Allan and Jay were good and turned around what was about to become a negative engagement as the salesman that booked me in wasn’t available on the agreed day I was meant to drive away with the car which delayed the process by another day.
Warranty isn’t the most economical so took it from AA personally as was more comprehensive and included additional aspects such as wear and tear and diagnostics that weren’t part of the RAC Platinum they were offering.

Attended 31/01/2026 with intention of buying a car (advertised as coming with two keys). I intended on buying the car outright with cash. On the day, I was talked into buying over £4k of extras by Kamaran the salesman. I was told that these could be financed separate to the car purchase. Karmaran put through a finance application on my behalf, allegedly just for the extras, only for me to find out he actually applied finance to part fund the price of the vehicle and used my payment towards the extras instead. When I asked to cancel the extras, the nightmare began. After emails and phone calls arguing my case, Ali the managed finally accepted I was right, the finance was applied incorrectly and I was owed a cash refund. The vehicle was then under a hire agreement as I was misled from the beginning re the application, when I should have owned the car from the moment it left the dealership. I contacted admiral who accepted my complaint and agreed I was missold finance by car planet and that they would investigate into their selling practices further . In the meantime, the refund paid off the loan and it was cancelled immediately but was an Absolute nightmare and negatively affected my credit score. 11 weeks later I discover the second key that they gave me didn’t just have a flat battery, it was actually the wrong key. I have been contacting them back and forth since mid April trying to find out where my 2nd key is, and why I have a key to one of their other vehicles. Initially I was told they were in talks with Kamaran to find out what he felt was a fair solution(!!). Then I was told they need to view my key to investigate and asked me why it took me so long to realise. I sent pics to show two very different keys at their request. I have told them numerous times that I had no need to check the spare key until I need it, as i had a fully functioning main key and it never crossed my mind. It was only when I needed the spare did I learn that it was the wrong key altogether and not just a dead battery. On multiple Occasions they’ve told me I need to go to Enfield so they can investigate what’s happened to check if I damaged the key or whatever else could have caused it (it’s the wrong / different key altogether, not sure how many other ways I can explain that). They told me they’d order parts to potentially repair it after I asked them to refund me the price of getting my own key locally so I didn’t need to go out of my way to fix THEIR error. instead they offered me £70 as a “gesture of goodwill” which is apparently the cost of investigating their side, when a replacement key from Timpsons is £200. I have been called and emailed multiple times asking to take down my reviews. I’ve asked them not to call me and told them I will take down no reviews until it’s resolved. They left a response to my review claiming they were working with me to resolve the issue despite emailing me at the exact same time to tell me that “we will no longer be proceeding with a replacement key at this stage”. At this point it is being escalated to trading standards and the motor ombudsman to investigate how I was sold a car with the key to another vehicle, and why I can’t just be given the key to my car without being constantly asked why it took so long to notice. I’m not interested in contacting support further, I’ve left no incorrect or false info above , I have multiple emails to prove everything mentioned above is correct .. so.. incase there’s any doubt, I would never in a millions years of Sundays recommend this company. Avoid avoid avoid!
Do not pay a deposit here
We interacted with two salesmen, neither of whom knew the answers to our questions. One important question was dismissed which gave us suspicions about the car.
The main issue was that I paid a £500 refundable deposit to hold a car for viewing. The salesman, Yassin, confirmed in writing that it was fully refundable. After visiting the garage and deciding not to proceed, I let them know promptly. What followed was me being ignored. Numerous texts, calls, and emails to Yassin now went unanswered. I contacted the complaints department, who referred me back to the sales team — the same team that wasn't responding. It took me sending a formal letter setting out that I would take matters further (letter before action and court proceedings) before the refund was finally credited to my bank account – without any communication being received whatsoever.
The deposit should have been returned without difficulty. Instead I was left chasing repeatedly. I would not recommend this dealership and would caution anyone against buying a car or paying a deposit here.
They have a 4.6 rating on Google reviews, because Google review is (for some reason) rejecting certain reviews (including this one).

Unfortunately, my experience at Car Planet fell significantly short of the standard I was led to expect.
Shortly after driving away following my purchase yesterday, a tire pressure warning light appeared. What I initially assumed to be a minor issue turned out to be a slow puncture, with the affected tire sitting at just 12 PSI compared to 40 PSI in the remaining tires, well outside the normal range for this vehicle. Upon returning home, I also discovered that the tire inflation kit we had been explicitly promised prior to purchase had not been placed in the boot.
This morning, I took the car to my own garage, where I was informed that the vehicle has an unsafe and incorrect mix of run-flat and non-run-flat tires an issue that requires three tire replacements and poses a genuine safety risk.
I had a two-hour return journey in adverse weather conditions. As a young driver, I could easily have been left stranded had the situation deteriorated further. This is particularly concerning given that we were repeatedly assured the car had been fully serviced and had undergone a 150-point inspection prior to sale.
The car itself appears satisfactory so far, and I do not doubt the good intentions of the staff. However, the condition in which the vehicle was handed over and the gap between what was promised and what was delivered is difficult to overlook. I hope Car Planet takes steps to ensure this does not happen to another customer.

After sales is a joke, what after sales if they try to sell you the after care package run, this garage is full of scammers trust 100% the negative reviews the guy who deals with complaints can’t even string a sentence together let alone deal with issues!!! Car garage is full of clueless kids please do not give your money to theses scammers!!

Bought a car on Sunday and the up to
Date v5c was missing, was sent pillar to post to get it taxed. Yesterday I received a call saying I can tax the car through an external company and it will cost the company a bit of extra money but I needed to pay for the tax via a link to car planet . On reviewing the reciept of the car on half of the reciept has been sent to me. Something dodgy is going on here. I have never known to have so many issue purchasing a car and nearly a week on I still cannot drive it as it’s still legally not mine.
