No customer service and no warranty
I paid around $2000 for a capillis cap approximately 4 years ago. It did not last 4 years and the batter failed. I called customer service and asked if I could purchase a replacement battery. I find that they no longer make the battery for my model. They said to call another number and arrange to trade in my cap new one and get credit for my cap. I called and they said they would not take mine in trade and offered to sell me a new one for $2500. This is terrible customer service and I would not recommend buying anything from cappillus.

For anybody wondering if these laser caps work, the answer is—yes. However, discipline and consistency are essential. Be patient. It does time, possibly up to one year.
I did not experience any initial shedding/thinning, as forecast in the instructions. After about 8 weeks my hair started feeling thicker, but I did not notice new growth. I think the cap may have helped to retard my natural shedding process, which may have contributed to the thickening feeling.
May 1. 2026 marked one year of use and there has definitely been an improvement. It ain’t a lion’s mane, but my “roof” is definitely in better shape than it was one year ago. The top area has responded best. My frontal region is responding much more slowly, but after one year, I do have some new hair. The front is going to take some time, possibly another year or more. I also have continued using minoxidil, which I started at 27. I am currently 68. I think minoxidil may have helped slow my hair loss, but did not stop it. The laser cap seems to have stopped my loss and may even be contributing to regrowth.
I remain encouraged.
If you are on the fence, I advise giving it a try. You will be pleased if your roof responds as well as mine has.
That was the good news. The bad news is that the cap stopped activating in June 2026, after just one year of use. I sent for a new battery, which seemed to solve the problem at first, then activation became sporadic. I have been fighting with this sporadic operation ever since. Today is September 16.2026.
I had read reviews where people had indicated that they had experienced similar difficulties, but I let it slide because most of the reviews seemed favourable. I queried the company, asking about the anticipated design lifespan of their devices. However, after being asked, “How can I help?”, my query was ignored….I realised I was probably talking to a bot named “Jamie”. At first I was tempted to ask “her” to compute the value of pi to the last digit, but I could tell I had already stumped her.

Anyway, if I bought a style of vehicle that broke down after one year, I would not buy the same style of vehicle again. I was considering purchasing a TriSpectrum cap, but I was not getting a response to my questions. I purchased a Kiierr 302 instead. This time I tagged on the 5 year warranty (which I NEVER, EVER do). Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice….
That’s it. That’s my rant. Maybe I will see you in the funnies over at the Kiierr website. Maybe I will end up auguring into the deck again with this new company—but at least I will be plowing into the dirt with a good looking roof.

Very Shady and Unprofessional…
Very Shady and Unprofessional practices.
My assigned consultant Isis was absolutely horrible, unhelpful, unresponsive and unprofessional. I had a negative reaction to the laser cap and requested to return it. Isis informed me she would follow up with me within 24-48 hours she never did. After patiently waiting for a week I called back and was still forced to allow her to assist me. I emailed her the pictures of the cap as requested and she has once again ceased all communication. Isis is a terrible representation for Capillus. I will never recommend this product to anyone! Horrible customer service!

Facemask stopped working, no response from Capillus
I purchased the FaceMask and it stopped working after 5 months. Created a support ticket, no response. Tried to schedule a support call, the website isn't working. Haven't heard anything back yet from Capillus.
-UPDATE- Just got a call from a manager, he was very friendly and accommodating, he claimed that they were having a system issue the week that I submitted my support request ticket.
They are going to address my issue. Will update again after resolution.
-Final UPDATE - They sent a new unit, and they even threw in an extra product with it! Looks like the new unit has been slightly redesigned as well so I expect I will not have the same issue going forward. I am now a happy customer, and their customer support was excellent!

Not worth it
Pro's: easy to use, con's way overpriced, battery size is way to small, lasts roughly 5 times, should have at least 3 times that to make it feasible. Limited efficacy, after 5 months of daily use, have not noticed anything.
