The magic began as soon as we arrived for check in at the airport. We were greeted by Jet2 staff, with sweet treats, and a balloon tunnel to walk through to get to check in.
Canterbury travel had arranged for a christmas sing along while on the flight, and our Jet2 crew added to this with jokes and games to help entertain the children. The two companies were a great combination.
Upon arrival in Lapland, the Elves were on hand for guidance and support to guide us throught the airport formalities and provide us with winter clothing and snow boots. Then, after some quick snow throwing fun with the elves, we were off travelling in a sleigh, pulled by snowmobiles, down a track and across the snow. Such a fun way to travel right from the start.
The activities were well spaced out and well signposted. Elves were on hand for support and fun, and there were plenty of them. The restaurant, toilets and service desk were all in the same large log cabin, and was kept clean throughout the day. The restaurant was always busy, but we could easily get a table on each visit no matter if it was for food or for the amazingly good hot chocolate! The food offering was self service and laid out very simply, which helped cater for fussy children. There was outside seating for those who wanted a glass of warm berry juice or o hot chocolate out in the crisp fresh air. You could also look over to the reindeer from there too.
The husky sleigh rides are a must do experience, my grandaugher really loved it.
Our visit to see Santa at his cabin home in the woods was such a magical experience, and we were given more than ample time with him to chat, read our letters and plan for milk and carrots to be left out on Christmas eve. Such a good experience for us all, and a 'must do' visit.

From start to finish Canterbury have been absolutely incredible! We did the magical interlude for 3 nights/4 days. It was everything we imagined and more! The staff were amazing, the experience was flawless and we will 100% be coming back!!!

We’ve just returned from the Magical Interlude trip to Suomu and it was truly magical from start to finish. All the activities were amazing and so much fun, in particular the dog sledding which was a dream come true for me! Everything was organised to perfection and the search for Santa which involved following the clues through all the different activities was so magical and exciting for the kids. A special shout out to all the elves who worked so tirelessly to make it magical from start to finish and in particular our Arctic Star Asiah whose kindness and energy made it a truly special experience for everyone! Would definitely recommend

I have just got back from the 3 night searching for Santa trip , I went alone with my 9 year old niece , I wondered before going whether it would feel weird or isolating with just us but it was so jam packed , fun and organised you honestly don’t have a moment to feel out of place . This was the most well organised trip I have ever been on . Every tiny little detail is taken care of and once you pay for your trip you do not need to spend another penny . The amount of activities in a day is amazing and so exciting even for me not knowing what is coming next. I just had to be at the coach for 8.30 and the rest was sorted for us . It was absolutely magical . The weather was perfect . We stayed in the pyha Raka hotel studio rooms which were lovely , warm , cosy and lovely bathroom that had a glass window into the bedroom. Food was delicious everywhere we went , simple home cooked food , fresh bread, hearty soups , meatballs and mash and Christmas dinner on last night. There is so much crammed into these days I think you’d find it difficult to beat an experience like this . Whilst the initial cost is a lay out I’d consider this excellent value for money for what you get and an experience every parent should have with thier kids atleast once . Truly magical . Our holiday rep Sophie was amazing, my niece named her doll she got from Santa after her 😂 she liked her so much . It was her first group but you’d think she had been doing this 10 years , she did not miss a thing . So impeccably well orchestrated. Amazing holiday . Thank you Sophie and Canterbury travel

Not the day trip we hoped for at all. Gutted to have spent so much money for a day my son said was not what he expected. This was meant to be a magical trip before my 8 year old stops believing, a once in a lifetime trip, it was far from it! Mislead by the advertising on both the website and Instagram definitely the budget version and nothing like the 3 day trip experience. Four elves in the whole area, none of the advertised ones my son was expecting to see, no Mrs Claus or a post office. A very basic area with huskey’s, reindeer & snow mobiles. Basically the selling point is the snow. Just so, so gutted by the whole experience. I really wished I’d saved my money and went back to Lapland UK, now that is how to do a day experience! Even the over commercialised Santa’s village might have been a better plan. Raging with myself for booking this trip.

Booked Enchanting Lapland with Canterbury Travel, we flew from Leeds Bradford. I will start off by saying this is a very expensive day trip and ever since booking it, I was wondering how they can justify charging so much for a day trip. All I will say is we were blown away with the whole day experience and it was a truly magical experience and worth every single penny! We did everything available and still had plenty of time to do many activities 3 or 4 times. The trip from the airport was one of the highlights. If I could give 10 stars I would. An unbelievable day trip! We have made core memories thank Canterbury Travel for this truly magical day trip.

Magical experience from start to finish. The elves were fantastic and very engaging. Father Christmas was jolly and the whole setting was amazing. There were no long cues to get on the rides and the snow was an added bonus.

I don’t normally bother to review customer experiences but what a joy it was to deal with Analisa! She is so lovely and professional and a credit to the Company!

Extremely disappointed!! Outbound Flight time change announced today for LGW 20th December 2025, from 08.35 to 12.55. Do not land until 18.35. By the time luggage and skisuits are collected and the 1 and 1/2hr transfer time are factored in, we will not reach Luosto until close to 9pm(A very late dinner and bed and a very early start the next morning)!! Return flight departure time now 14.55 instead of 15.15, amounting to 4hrs 40 mins less 'play' time in resort. Given that this is advertised as a 4 day tour, and the expected flight times advertised pre-booking, as approx 8am outbound I am somewhat enraged! What we will now actually get for the £12880 we have paid (4 adults/2 children), is 2 days plus a breakfast before leaving on the '4th day'. Unfortunately, the once in a lifetime 'Magical Interlude' no longer feels 'Magical'. We chose Canterbury Travel as they are renowned Lapland specialists but I would NOT recommend risking the thousands of extra pounds on the cost, given the level of uncertainty and entitlement they have to take precious hours away from what is already a short trip.

I had made my booking by telephone a week ago but had not received a confirmation.
I telephoned and spoke to a charming lady called Sue. She said an email had been sent at the time of booking, but I said none had been received. She immediately sent it again. However, when it did not come through I again rang and again it was Sue that answered. There had been an error in the email address, which also affected the spelling of the names on the booking.
Sue immediately rectified this issue, sent the email, now duly received, and all in order.

Great once in lifetime experience with our 9 year old. We’ve just done the magical interlude. Shame about the snow mobiles we didn’t get to go far on them and thought Santa could have been a bit more engaging.
The elf song and Gemma on coach 7 was amazing. Gemma made the whole experience amazing our son adored her. Thank you Gemma

We went on a Magical Interlude trip to Lousto. Christmas in Lapland was everything we could hope for. Canterbury were recommended to us and how right they were. It was so well organised, and we enjoyed every busy day much. We loved our cabin and the suits were fab at keeping us warm. The Kelo restaurant was fantastic as are all the staff and even helped with takeaway for dinner when my daughter felt ill and breakfast for me when I couldn’t manage the walk up the hill due to arthritis. Our Arctic Star Emily was fabulous and arranged for me to be dropped nearer our log cabin to save me walking after a long day. The elves and Em worked so hard to make the experience so good and our daughter wants to go back but only if Em is there!!! Awesome experience . We paid a lot but no regrets

Just back from an amazing Christmas in Lapland. From start to finish Canterbury looked after us and made the trip worth every penny. Em and all the staff went out of their ways to ensure the kids had the best Christmas ever! (their words). I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Our only gripes were down to Jet 2 who unfortunately moved our outbound flight back 2 hours making day 1 very short and then a 3 hour delay on the return which wouldn't have been so bad had they kept everyone in the loop. Can't hold Canterbury responsible for that however,

We recently returned from a Lapland holiday with Canterbury Travel and I had to review because it was just fabulous!! We did the Magical Interlude break, staying in Luosto in a Log Cabin. Everything was so well organised, so. Much creativity had gone into every element. The activities were incredible and really well thought out. We were three adults and two kids so an awkward number but it was never an issue. Our youngest had a wobble about the husky ride and one of the lovely Canterbury rangers looked after her while we went. The food provided was delicious and they even brought us some simple tomato pasta for my slightly fussy daughter! The staff go above and beyond to make it magical and special - the three girls working in the Cafe Ukksaka restaurant were absolutely wonderful with my girls playing with them after they’d finished eating - it really made their holiday and they were sad saying goodbye to them.
If you’re in doubt of which accommodation, we loved the peaceful and traditional feel of the log cabins - plus it means extra sledding fun for the kids. Thank you Canterbury!

We are just back from a 5 day trip with Canterbury, our Artic Star was Emily.
I can truly say our expectations were exceeded with the activities, the little moments that were truly magical, the joy and energy Emily brought to the holiday was amazing and we all have said it was our best Christmas ever.
Every detail is thought about, every single activity has its our magical moment and the children were mesmerised with the true magic that it brought to their Christmas.
It was great to have a holiday and not hear the word I am bored.
Whatever you need Emily is there, she is always happy and willing to help as much as she can and never once did you see her without a big smile on her face. It was great to have someone who wanted to be there and was enjoying their job.
