Camden sent a threatening letter about a bill I pay by standing order so I needed to phone or e-mail to explain their error. Camden have removed e-mail addresses from their correspondence (or at least to me) and only give a phone number. Their phone system uses voice recognition, it is useless. I spoke clearly yet the options bore no relation to the name I was saying. After 6 attempts it dropped the call. I wrote a letter on paper and posted it with a stamp. I recommend doing the same as they are obliged to record all incoming post in a log and have a duty to reply.

I was returning home from being in the gym in Camden. There are known drug dealers who loiter around Camden Town Station and frequently harass women passing by. On Saturday, June 25th, 2024, at approximately 7:35 PM, a random individual attempted to engage with me. The individual was a tall, slender black man of possibly Somali or West Indian descent. Due to the large crowd and an unlicensed performance happening outside Camden Town Station, I was focused on getting through the mass of people.
This incident occurred between the two exits outside Camden Town Station. The individual approached me quickly from behind and tried to speak to me. Attempting to avoid eye contact, I responded that I just wanted to get home. When I ignored him, he grabbed my buttocks and then walked away swiftly. I felt violated by this act, which came unexpectedly from the individual who I believe is associated with the drug dealers frequenting the area.
I know these individuals are drug dealers because I have walked past this area frequently over the past few years. They consistently try to harass me, either attempting to sell drugs or solicit my phone number. It is disgusting behavior, and these individuals need education and employment opportunities, rather than disturbing vulnerable girls and women of all ages.
After years of enduring this harassment, my worst fears were realized on Saturday, May 25th, when I was sexually assaulted by one of these individuals. Just 15 minutes prior to this incident, I was concerned about my younger sister walking home alone. The situation is deeply disturbing, and I fear for the safety of my three younger sisters and any future daughters. This behavior is unacceptable, and the police need to address the presence and actions of these drug dealers who not only solicit drug sales but also harass and assault women.
Drug dealing is illegal, yet a significant number of dealers loiter outside Camden Town Station. The situation is out of control, with many of them congregating there, and it is troubling that the police continue to allow this activity.
You don’t understand the extent of this issue—these drug dealers harass women constantly while loitering about. It is not a joke.
I was so angry while walking away, screaming. I could have punched him but had to keep my cool. I am still angry even while typing this. I am trying to sort my life out, which is going downhill, and he ruined my day. I am going to struggle to sleep tonight.
London is increasingly becoming unsafe for women due to the rising incidents of sexual assaults. Immediate action is needed to protect the community and ensure the safety of all individuals, especially women, in public spaces.

Me and my flatmate had an issue with the council tax and, even though we were on hold for an hour and a half, this nice and kind lady answered the phone and helped us solve the issue really quick. Honestly only for that lady, bless her soul, I'm dropping this five star review.

Received a letter in June 2023 saying I owed council tax for the previous tax year. As I had left the property and it was vacant for a month I queried this the following day in June via email.

The email was responded to 7 MONTHS later to say it was for my final month, I did not have the budget that minute to pay post Christmas then within 2wks I received a summons with extra charges following THEIR 7 month dela. The summons actually arrived later on the day I had paid the bill.

I then called the office and was told that accounts were down, when I explained the length of time to receive an email reply and subsequent summons the person LAUGHED and said 'yes, that sounds like our back log' and then just said call back the next week.

It is now the next week and I am on my third attempt to get through across two days, each time having to abort due to obscene hold times without answering. I have currently been in a queue for 3hrs (!!!) and counting.

Quite simply the worst, rock bottom standard of service I have possibly ever encountered. I paid considerable council tax every month and the council is either woefully under resourced or simply inefficient to the point it is difficult to comprehend.

Camden council should be ashamed. Horrendous experience to this point and I still haven't spoken to them yet so I expect it will only get worse.

3 months on and still waiting for relinquishing fund after giving their "much needed" property back. Slow, unhelpful, ineffective service and staff. Confirmed by staff form was sitting on staffs desk for months! Staff are work shy. Needs overhaul.

Appalling repairs service, shockingly bad, how are they getting away with this.
I reported mould and damp 6 months ago. Several repair men came round and all said the exact same thing, its from a leak upstairs. Waited months and months for a plumber to come and fix the leak, it only happened after i made an official complaint. I can't tell you how many days, weeks, hours i spent trying to get this sorted. The whats app repair reporting service is absolutely ridiculous. People say they are going to call you back and never do. The only reason i got the repair fixed was because i was on the case every day. Imagine if you are elderly or English is not your first language? Everyone from the repairs department i managed to track down on the phone about the leak, was so patronising, like you are not human, just repeating themselves as if you are stupid 'the leak is coming from the flat upstair' Yes I know! So when are you going to fix it is my question, i know its a bloody leak!

Camden is absolutely the worst borough to be living in. My house has severe infestations of damp & mould since 2015 and other disrepairs. There are vulnerable adults and children incl a 1 year old but this serves no importance to them. Their communication is disgusting. Their service is a failure...i am made to feel dumb. I am unable to express concerns or raise issues because according to them i am "ranting" on. These are
words that have actually been used! Even the senior management team are useless! They dont respond or if they do its simply redirecting it to another team or copy & paste.

Camden Council repair. Im High rate Disabled person, I rang on Saturday morning in Camden repair because no cold water and toilet not working without water. They sent plumber but he said £ I don`t want fix nothing because this is not emergency job on weekend only emergency job" and leave. I explained, I Disabled and I can`t use other toilets only my toilet, but no water and toilet not working, but they ignored and said from phone ( Camden repair phone line ) When I rang again he said ""Its gonna be cost you money if you call one more time"" Its what he said. I use toilet and when care come one time per day he start clean toilet from my sh----t. London 2023 but in Camden council 15 centure, I can`t belive. So, I will call back on Monday morning, but im sure they will ignore all situation and make appontment after 2-4 weeks. I used Very rude people on phone line, never listen people, cut off if they doesn`t want talking, never understand situation, they ignored any complain, very poor service.

Camden is an absolute joke and should be held to account but every time the same councillors are elected, why?! People get a grip and vote next time for change, it's not about being a labour voter or a conservative, it's about getting these councillors out. The latest stealth tax ( not so stealthy) on the motorist is the last straw. Some of us just have no choice but to own a car, we tried going without and then the tube and train strikes meant it impossible to get to elderly relatives. Now we are being told we are to pay double for parking on our own street ( which btw has 50 bays closed now for 4 weeks along the entire street) and many other expensive and exclusive schemes to charge even more. When trying to fill in the "have your say form", it is so an invasion of privacy that it deters you from filling it in - hence Camden Council getting away with even more changes that don't have enough objections. Where is all the money going? It isn't to the residents of this area! Shame on you Camden Council you are more interested in lining your fat cat pockets than doing what is right!

Reviews are powerful, helpful tools in today’s society that are meant to warn or encourage a person to buy a product, take a service or perhaps work for a company. Its on the last basis that I must write this review. Before I do I want you to know that I was not fired from Camden, nor did I have any HR issues. I left on my own freewill to get away from the abusive relationship, Camden Council being the abuser. I worked at Camden for a number of years, but because of the lack of support and a working in a broken system at some point you realise those at the top do not understand what is happening in the organisation or if they know of the issues affecting staff - they simply don’t care.

To give you an idea of how it was to work at Camden, one manager actually fainted (Vasovagal syncope) from the pressure which could have absolutely been avoided and was taken to hospital, this is the type of pressure we were put under daily because Camden refused to provide more staff, refused to take on board our concerns. I regularly think about the colleagues I left behind and their wellbeing, as I know things in the team have got significantly worse since I left.

Camden seems not to care about the wellbeing of their staff or even the tenants, this is evident by implementing a system where they encourage the use of chat functions and whatsapp usage when reporting repairs and make it very hard to speak to someone as to rather hid behind a digital wall.

Ultimately the CEO needs to take responsibility for the abuse that happened at the hands of Camden. If the ship is sailing the wrong way, it’s the captains fault not the crew. I have used the word abuse because it’s the closest thing I can compare my last few years at Camden too, It really felt like I was in an abusive relationship and you get so used to it that you think its normal to have crushing pressure and to feel depressed on Sunday when you think about Monday. This was not an isolated incident in my team, I found this to be the case across teams.

So should you work at Camden, I have to say no, really avoid this, I only write this to warn others. Hopefully they can change but in its current form, I would look elsewhere.

Second week in a row and the recycling bins have not been collected, called the environmental line for Camden and the lady on the phone seems to be very unhelpful and patronising, at the end refused to log in the call for collection, are we really wasting our tax money with the council? They just smile to citizens prior to elections, It is not the first time it happens😩😩😩👎

Absolutely shocking - lack of communication, took ages to get a hold of someone. Their online website is extremely difficult to navigate and is incapable of doing the most basic of functions. I pay a very high band of council tax just for this incompetence

Camden, a local authority who are desperate to take people’s children away from their families rather than work together to keep families together. Their social workers and management at Children’s Services are disingenuous and corrupt. Care leavers are failed and end up in services as adults traumatised and emotionally exhasberated. I cannot understand how Ofsted have not put this local authority under special measures. Adoption targets for looked after children and foster carers who just want their payment week on week. This local authority’s ways of working are extremely questionable and risky at the detriment of vulnerable families and young people sadly.

I've written to the council multiple times regarding my council tax, they are yet to respond, despite claiming on their automated telephone line that it is "quick and easy" to do everything online or via email. I can't help but wonder, perhaps it is just their way to offload the traffic via the phone.
I am left with no option but to stay on the customer's support helpline. The waiting time is simply extraordinary... I've been waiting for an operator to answer since over an hour ago.
It might be a good idea to hire more staff to answer calls?
This review will most probably go unnoticed like the others. But if someone in charge is reading this, please consider fixing and reducing the wait time.

Did a delivery on a Sunday morning to a guest staying in the Travel Lodge on Drury Lane. 2 of Camden’s finest appeared having a jolly old patrol together just as the delivery was completed and despite both me and the guest informing them that the delivery was complete and that it needed two people to lift there was no interest whatsoever. Just a happy opportunity to issue another ticket to a hard working driver trying to do his job.

On a Sunday when there was nobody about for goodness sake.

What happened to human decency and a bit of common sense?

Of course we contested it and had a reply asking for evidence. No email address to send a reply to of course so it was always going to be a waste of time. Nevertheless the hotel guest wrote to me to confirm arrival and departure time and I sent a copy of the letter by post to Camden Council. I can only assume they’ve lost it or couldn’t be bothered since I have now received a demand for £195.

The photo they sent was of an empty parking space, they acknowledged there is leeway for deliveries and the whole process took 10 minutes.

And they wonder why they get a bad press.

As I say, any ounce of decency or common sense and you’d think there might be a more sensible outcome. Still…hey ho. Too much to expect I suppose.

Camden Council has denied my children their lawful right to an education and every single camden leader and councillor who I have contacted a number of times has ignored me.

In fact, all they do is ignore. I have told them I wasn't happy about this and would appreciate being treated with respect and dignity and they continued to ignore me.

A council run by sociopathic heartless creatures especially Georgia Gould and Jenny Rowlands who pick and choose who they support and speak to and meet and its not the tenants with foreign names.

As Marcus Boyland he is another muppet who never replies to anyone. This Council is a joke. They just give tenants who are already struggling the silent treatment as narcissistic people do. No one holds anyone accountable. Camden sen team Sharon Scott is also a sadistic liar who enjoys oppressing disabled children and their families. Richard Olszewski who is my local cllr has also blocked me when I asked for support and has never helped me. I will be taking this further up. The way we have been treated is absolutely vile.

These people have no respect. Jenny Rowlands is the worst ceo and Georgia Gould the worse council leader.

My family have lived in Camden since the 80s and even my elderly mother gets treated like a piece of dirt and she is heartbroken.

How can these people sleep at night while not doing their jobs
