SCAM SCAM SCAM AVOID
I would strongly advise others to avoid Cambridge Open Academy based on my experience. I paid £25 for a course that turned out to be extremely outdated and largely irrelevant. The content did not match expectations and felt poorly maintained.
What’s more frustrating is the lack of transparency around certification. The website clearly suggests that a PDF certificate is included upon completion, but after finishing the course, I was asked to pay an additional £5 just to receive it. Charging extra for a hard copy would be understandable, but this was not clearly communicated.
They also advertise a 14-day money-back guarantee, but when I tried to request a refund, it was not honoured. Communication with their support team was vague and unhelpful. When asked about their office location, they refused to provide clear details, which raises serious concerns about legitimacy.
Additionally, the certification itself does not appear to be widely recognised or valued by employers, despite how it is presented.
Overall, this felt misleading and not worth the money. I recommend doing thorough research before enrolling, as this was a disappointing experience.

Dear RAHUL V KANAKUNNEL,
Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed and candid account of your experience. We sincerely apologize that your time with us was marked by frustration rather than growth, as we aim for complete transparency and high-quality education. We want to assure you that we are actively taking your feedback to heart and are already working on significant internal changes. This includes a comprehensive audit of our curriculum to replace any outdated material with current industry standards, as well as a full redesign of our website's pricing display to ensure that certificate administrative fees are communicated clearly and upfront.
Regarding your concerns about our refund policy and support communication, we are investigating why your request was not handled according to our 14-day guarantee. We are also in the process of retraining our team to be more transparent and direct in their correspondence. We would truly like the opportunity to make this right; please reach out to us with your order number so we can manually process your certificate at no cost and personally review your refund request. Your feedback is a vital part of our improvement process, and we are committed to earning back the trust of our learners.

AI course was disappointing
AI course was disappointing. The content was adequate, but the course delivery was awful. Presentation slides were filled with text, rather than a script, and, in fact, an electronic agent read out the text. As the voice intonation of some words and sentence parts was unnatural, this was disrupting. The monotony of the voice also did not help me keep myself engaged with the content. There were also errors on some slides: The agent would say something different as was written on the slide; the titles on some slides was from a different section or was the standard presentation title "Ipso Lorum...". The overall feeling is that not a lot of effort was put into the creation of the course. There is no interactive content whatsoever and no quiz. To finish the course and get your participation certificate, you have to leave a review. Not a fan.

Dear Anna,
We are truly sorry that our course missed the mark for you, and we genuinely appreciate the honesty of your feedback regarding the delivery and technical errors. It is clear that the lack of interactivity and the unnatural narration created a frustrating experience, and we want to assure you that we are currently working hard to overhaul these modules. We are in the process of replacing those placeholder titles, correcting the audio-to-slide sync issues, and developing interactive quizzes to ensure the course is as engaging as the subject matter deserves. We are also re-evaluating our certification requirements to better respect our learners' time and input.
Thank you for your patience while we make these necessary improvements to provide the high-quality experience you expected.

Payed extra for certificate and couldn't download it. It was without my name on it, when i clicked on "print".
The course itself was bad: just about an hour of information in all videos. The text was read very fast by a robot. I was really disappointed. I couldn't leave a review. It was closed. Also the chat didn't work and support didn't answer me yet.

Dear Anna Repina,
We are incredibly sorry for the frustration this has caused, particularly regarding the technical issues with your certificate and the lack of response from our support team. Please know that we are currently working to fix the "blank name" printing error and are investigating why our chat and support channels failed to reach you promptly; this is not the level of service we strive to provide. We are also in the middle of a comprehensive content overhaul to address the pacing of the narration and expand the depth of the material, as we recognize that a fast-paced automated voice is not conducive to a quality learning experience.
We want to make this right, so we are prioritizing your support ticket immediately to ensure you receive a corrected certificate and the assistance you deserve.
