Avoid at all costs, left stranded on side of motorway for 2 hours as none of their recovery companies would attend. The premiums may be cheap but its not sustainable if their suppliers are earning more elsewhere. Ended up being recovered 20 miles in the wrong direction and then having to organise and pay £300 for a tyre that should have cost£100 if I had been recovered as per the policy. Did recieve a £50 contribution to the tyre and £10 compensation neither is sufficient for the danger I was left in, stress caused and out of pocket costs incurred. I did complain but recieved a very straight bat and no empathy to their customers 😕

Really Bad Experience! Not Recommend as a Driving Instructor waiting 4 hours to response which took 30 yess 30 seconds to sort!! Lost half a days wage!! Unbelievable! All my colleagues saying to stay clear, Proper Wounded and the company Not response to my email. Said they respond if you have a complaint within 24 hours, now been 48 hours.
Stay clear guy’s you will get no help immediately

Because I was kept informed of the progress of the expected help constantly. The mechanic arrived and was very pleasant and helpful. Sorted my problem quickly. No complaints

Pulled into Oxford services as battery warning light was showing on the car dash board. Phoned call assist. The filled out all the details on the online call app. Stated , fault, how many people and added 1 pet dog. And also sent what3words position of our car at the service station. Was told on the app that a breakdown/ recovery truck would arrive with in 2 hours. This we were happy with and understood it was a busy time as it was a Sunday of a bank holiday. Truck arrived. Driver asked if the car would start. Yes it would. He the attached something to the battery and asked me to start the car. He then said “ sorry mate your Alternator is knackered.” I looked a bit stunned. He then said he would have to arrange another vehicle to recover us to our destination. I asked if he could point out the Alternator and why he said it was Knackered “ he showed me the Alternator and had it’s not a road side fix. It was then I pointed out the belt had shredded so that must be the problem. The reply “ hoo yea sorry didn’t think of that “ he wanted to take the car on his flat bed but I refused as it was not big enough and he wanted the dog to stay in the boot of our car. This was not happening. It was 27° and a fig in a hot car is no good. My dog is 15 years old, so with out air flow or air conditioning this could prove fatal for my dog. He had no answer as to what I could do if we got stuck in traffic. Then no air flow and the dog would suffer plus breaking the law of dogs in hot cars. I really don’t care about some clause that’s in the T&C’s which does not help my situation. He also explained he was busy so would not be able to take me to my destination. He arranged for a second recovery driver and vehicle to arrive. This guy was so much more helpful. Very understanding much. Bigger recovery lorry. He could only take us onward to Chieveley service station. Then after we were dropped off I had a phone call from our third recovery company who said it would be between 20:00 and 22:00!eta. They arrived around 21:00 and recovered us to Guildford. Again a really nice guy and I was happy for the dog to stay in our vehicle as by now it was dark and cooler. This was not a service I could ever recommend. After leaving Coventry breaking down the recovery to Guildford had taken 13 hours. So disappointed. A friend the next day fitted a new belt for me. It took less than an hour and was able to do it without any special tools or ramps.

Had a breakdown via Dynamo Cover and the job was handled by their rescue network. It required a complex 3-stage relay to get me and my car from Somerset to North Yorkshire. The text updates via BreakdownCo were spot on, the tracking links were incredibly accurate, and every single one of the three drivers who took over was professional, punctual, and helpful. Excellent coordination of a stressful situation

Easy to use app pinpoints your location and customer service rang within 5 mins. Van was recovered within 1 hour and customer service rang me to confirm that I had been recovered successfully

“I had an extremely disappointing experience with Call Assist. My brand new van was scratched during recovery. The driver used special equipment to load it but never told me there’d be an additional charge. On the way to the garage, I felt pressured to pay or the driver wouldn’t unload my van. I later submitted a formal complaint, but the response failed to address my main concerns.” That left me frustrated and very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend Call Assist. Customers deserve honest pricing and respectful treatment.

Having not broken dowwnfor over 20 years I found the whole experience, via call assist, extremely helpful and completely stress free. From the initial call, to using the app, it was easy to use and they kept me informed at all stages iwith texts and timeframes including a call at end confirming that I had reached my destination

Call Assist call handler kept me up to date. Could track recovery vehicle.
Only downside was the mechanic didn’t have a gun for the wheel nuts. And could only hand tighten. He suggested 30 miles before they needed tightening again.

Twice I’ve called Call Assist and both times the service has been fantastic

The response time was really quick ( and I was over on Stanhope showground which is a bit out of the way ! ) and the young man who sorted out the problem was just so pleasant and efficient . He even escorted me all the way back to Barnard Castle over the top , which is almost a wilderness! Very happy with your service as always .

Absolutely disgusted with this service after they charged me £232 to recover me because apparently work that I had done to my vehicle could have been the cause of the breakdown. And they never recovered me after I called the recovery company they were using who told me that my recovery had been put on hold and it would be at least 5 or 6 hours before a driver might become available! I cancelled the recovery because fortunately a friend was available to tow me home. Almost a week later and they still have not refunded me. Blatant discrimination and a case of extortionate demand of payment. Terrible customer service, no response to my repeated email and calls to get the money refunded. Completely outrageous, I am absolutely disgusted with them.

Edit.. well that got a response! Somebody from the company emailed me the morning after I wrote the first paragraph of this to apologise for my experience and to say that my case had is being dealt with by their senior investigation person and I should receive a response within 28 days! 28 days?? What? Why should it take so long? Are they hoping that I will forget about it so they can earn interest on my money or what? I'm even more outraged and disgusted by this company's attitude because of this now.

I broke down on M23 just off Gatwick at 3am Weds 8th July...Call Assist were amazing and ensured I got my car recovered to where I needed to go. It took some time to organise due to the time, Call Assist followed up with phone calls and kept me informed every step of the way ...would highly recommend...many thanks... Simon

Broke down in a regular car park.
They said we would need an Eastman truck for recovery at £450 cost to us.
Spoke to Auto Aid Breakdown, who acts on their behalf and they said it wouldn’t have been the case and to put a complaint in. After 3 hours we paid a garage £250 to take us home.
Oh and before I get a generic response to this email from Call Assist, I did complain and was told I should get a response within 8 weeks!! Really? Either they get a lot of complaints or have total disregard to their customers. Shocking service!
