Extremely disappointing service from start to finish – would not recommend.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The service we received was absolutely shocking, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from this store.

We purchased dining chairs that arrived wonky, with several having major defects. We then had to wait another week for replacements, only for the second batch to arrive in an even worse condition than the first.

We specifically asked the delivery team to assemble the chairs, and even they were genuinely shocked at the poor quality and condition of the furniture. The delivery driver and his colleague could clearly see the problems themselves. They felt so bad that we were left without dining chairs that they insisted we keep two temporarily while the situation was being resolved. At that stage, however, we were more than happy to return the entire order and move on.

Unfortunately, matters only got worse when I contacted the Navan store. The person I spoke to was dismissive, unhelpful and showed very little interest in resolving the situation. Despite knowing that we live around 40 minutes away and had already collected the first batch ourselves, he suggested that I return the chairs personally. He was also unwilling to process a refund until the two remaining chairs were returned, without offering any reasonable solution or assistance with the return.

He even stated that he had sent out 60–80 chairs without receiving any complaints. However, our experience is our experience, and the defects were clearly evident to the delivery team, who witnessed the condition of the chairs firsthand.

What should have been a straightforward resolution to a poor-quality product turned into a thoroughly frustrating experience, made significantly worse by the lack of customer service and willingness to help.

The quality of the chairs was unacceptable, but the attitude and handling of the complaint were even more disappointing. I would never purchase from this store again and certainly would not recommend it to others.

Absolutely disgraceful experience with Caffrey’s Furniture. After waiting 3 months for my bed to arrive, they delivered a completely different bed frame and headboard from the one I ordered.

To make matters worse, their delivery driver, Dermot, was extremely rude and refused to remove his dirty shoes despite being asked politely by my husband. He even refused shoe covers and proceeded to stain our staircase carpet. When I refused the incorrect bed, he also refused to take it away until I insisted and threatened to call the Gardaí.

The lack of professionalism, respect and basic customer service was shocking. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

I would not recommend this company to anyone and will never spend another cent here.

The best experience I had the staff was realy helpful and I rate it 100billion

I purchased a suite of furniture last October,the quality and style is beautiful,that staff were very friendly and helpful,it was delivered on the day that was arranged,the delivery Men removed all the wrapping and took it way they were very friendly and even offered to take away the old furniture.As I purchased a 2+1 suite I called recently to ask could I purchase another 1 seater and that was no problem.I would fully recommend Caffreys Furniture

Dundalk store....Lead time was very quick and Colin went above and beyond to ensure we got everything we needed at a fantastic price would 100% recommend

Absolutely disgusted at the way they have treated us. We bought a suite of furniture last August from this store in cavan. Suite of furniture arrived and days after we noticed the threads were coming out of one of the 2 seaters then one of the sections of the recliners opened. There was a man that called to our home in November/December and was quite rude said it wouldn't be able to be done before Christmas so we said okay, Christmas came and went still nothing. My husband went into the store on Tuesday, got a phone call today from Walshes to say that they've nobody to call to us until the 20th of March. This is an absolute joke. We paid €1,999 for the suite, please do not buy anything from this store.

August 30 2025.
On entering the store the staff were very friendly and helpful. I purchased a suite of furniture and it was delivered very quickly. All good so far.
Within weeks the stitching started to unravel, and on informing the store I was told a person would be out to see the flaws. By the time I had a visit from a different company, one of the seats began to fail, so the repair man told me, this is a new flaw, not what he was calling for, promptly left, and I have heard nothing since.
This leaves me with the question, are Caffreys Cavan selling defective goods, or have I just been forgotten.
At this point I would like a refund.
I will add information here after I call into the shop tomorrow. This problem has been ongoing since some weeks after purchase.
It's been a few days since I returned to the shop, I received a call from the same furniture repair company, with an appointment for another month's time.
I didn't buy a suite to be careful using, rather than just being comfortable.
It was implied the suite would be exchanged...... but the last repair company is the next step.

Be Very careful with this companies furniture, premium prices, below par goods.

Received a delivery this morning, a new suite, 2x2 seaters & 1x3 seater.....
Swapped for the first suite.
Looks and feels good, so far.

Excellent value and outstanding quality furniture from Caffreys Furnitures, Cavan. From start to finish, the experience was top-class. Elaine was absolutely brilliant — professional, friendly, and helpful at all times, making everything smooth and stress-free.
