worst experience with CAFE LAST,
I've opened my cafe since 2022 September .
I've ordered the grinder which they offer me to purchase with good price, but its just "Opened box"
and It arrive with my espresso machine and It was arrived with missing part , It appears that the bottom of the hopper only makes contact with the button when it is tilted towards the button. When it is resting straight, it doesn't make contact with the button.
I've been talk to them since September and their respond was late and taking so much time and It's January since they said the part will ship on December !! I've been wait for them and on December I sent them email and nobody respond me and ignored it . now I am using this grinder with food wrap to hold it. It was not a cheap grinder , It was $800 grinder and I am using this with "Cling Plastic Wrap "

horrible customer service and experience, they will fool you with used machine !!!!!!!!!!!!

Cafe Last will make it seem like they have the item in stock and then promise ship dates that they can't honor. I ordered my machine in March and they promised me 6-10 weeks lead time and I am still waiting 27 weeks later.

They lied and outright told me back in April that my machine is being made and I'll have it within a few weeks. It's been a few months and now they tell me that the supplier has no machines so I will just have to wait an unspecified amount of time. The kicker here is when I called as a new customer I got told a lead time of 4-6 weeks when they cannot get me my machine after 6 months.

Kent on their team is amazing.
He helped navigate and explain delays and always communicated in a clear and friendly manner.

Their attention to detail and Kent’s white glove experience is next level. He certainly deserves a raise for all his hard work.

Couldn’t recommend this company enough. If you are in the market for top-tier coffee products, trust Cafe Last!

I contacted cafelast to purchase an automatic coffee machine for our resort. The original machine I thought I needed would have not met our needs. Cafelast folks not only helped me purchase the correct machine, they set up an appointment with the installation / maintenance company where I could view a demo of the machine before I purchased. As we are doing renovation to the installation area we have not installed the machine yet. However the good folks at cafelast call monthly to check on when we want them to schedule the install. I had an issue where I opened up an expensive new grinder that I had only used for a couple of days and found chipped up burrs. The supplier wouldn’t help me because from their point of view, it’s possible I caused the damage myself. Cafe Last stepped up and sent me a set of replacement burrs at no charge. You can order with confidence, I am glad I went with Cafe Last.

I was in a big predicament and I needed a Commercial Espresso Machine 110V fast! I found the one I wanted at Cafe Last. I called and Jordan was Awesome! Bought Eureka Mignon XL grinder from Cafe Last. Good communication throughout the purchase and shipping process.

Bought Eureka Mignon XL grinder and Lelit Elizabeth espresso machine from Cafe Last. The staff was very helpful in discussing about my grinder and espresso machine purchase particularly that Elizabeth was pre-ordered due to the global supply and logistics issue. I love the Eureka Mignon XL grinder that I received! I was really pleased with the speed of grinding and consistency of grind particles - uniform grind with little or no fines. All of my espresso tasted far better with clarity and nuanced taste compared to more muddy notes from my old grinder (Cuisinart conical burr). Seems my cups taste better than what my my local baristas produce but it could be that I get my beans from an excellent local roaster. Eureka Mignon XL is much heavier and sturdier with a bigger flat burr yet is not much bigger than my old grinder - feels like a high quality machine that will last me a long time. One additional thing I appreciated about Mignon XL is that the grind goes straight into the dosing cup compared to the Cuisinart grinder which frankly made so much mess even with the built in container - never mind that it retains old coffee fines . I did buy a small hopper with bellow from an Etsy shop for single dosing for Mignon XL. I really highly recommend this grinder!

The funny thing about coffee gear is you can get almost the same thing everywhere that specializes in the equipment. I have been falling down the espresso rabbit hole long enough to have decided to buy a specialty grinder. I called all the major suspects, they all had the machine I was interested in or the one they wanted to sell me. But none of them made me feel they were interested in helping me make a good choice for my needs (let alone like a friend). One well known retailer after hearing that I planned to upgrade my espresso machine in the future. Blew me off saying well let's save that for latter. Not at all thinking I'd appreciate having a cohesive game plan. So back to the experience. However, Cafe Last has the customer experience down. The machine came as expected (actually sooner than expected) their communication and follow up was world class. Including follow up emails. Which leads me to believe I would not have been left in the cold should something have gone wrong. Lastly, the knowledge of the product was second to none. I feel very confident that while this is a new company their knowledge and dedication to providing a concierge level customer experience, I fully expect they will supply my next espresso machine and confidently recommend them for you next coffee related purchase.

Just purchased a Eureka grinder from Cafe Last. The machine is awesome and Graham was very helpful in helping me choose the right grinder for my needs. It was shipped fast and the flavor profile difference in my coffee is like night and day. It went from bitter to balanced immediately and the Perfetto can grind anything from French Press to Espresso flawlessly. Thank You for the great service. Will buy again.

I looked all over for the Ascaso Steel PID and Cafe Last was one of the only online shops that carries that specific machine in the US. The support staff was very quick and extremely helpful in rendering some questions I had about the specifics. I'll be back for future business!

Update after 1 month of use:

After having owned this machine for just over a month in the US, there are a few drawbacks but the machine itself is beautiful and produces consistent shots with the ability to tune all the important variables (pressure, temp, pre-infusion, etc). The machine is shipped with some whacky settings for the US market; such as 100 C° PID temp and OPV set to ~11 bars. I've read these default settings could be specific to Italian coffee, the use of pressurized baskets, or possibly the pressure at the puck is 1-2 bars less than the meter read-out (which would defeat the purpose of the meter in the first place). However, not knowing to reduce the OPV to about 9 bars is a little annoying. Adjusting the OPV itself is rather annoying as the valve cap you adjust with a flathead screwdriver is plastic and is extremely hard to turn without stripping it out. This plastic valve cap seems out-of-place for such a well-built machine and having that cap being metal would not be difficult; maybe there is a good reason for this. After adjusting the OPV to ~9 bars I noticed a huge improvement in my shots mostly a reduction in harshness and improvement the balance of acidity in certain coffees. I wish Ascaso offered a silicone mat for the cup warmer since the polished stainless will scratch almost immediately. Lastly, wish Ascaso offered bottomless portafilter as a choice vs the spouted one, finding an Ascaso wooden to match means dropping an extra $140 and now I have one I don't really need.

I knew which espresso machine I wanted but didn't know where to make the purchase. I wanted the best deal, superior customer service ( if I had ANY questions, I would be a priority). I was interacting with a few business' at the time. The personalization and support pre- purchase were outstanding. The follow up support confirms I made the right decision and that makes my espresso shot that much better.
