Awful company.
If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They are just completely unethical. My Type 1 daughter has been doing shots for the last 6 years. Recently, we inquired about a pump. She had a Tandem pump years ago briefly. Well, the referall from her endocrinologist went to Byrum and when they contacted us they claimed that there was a $417 balance from 2020 (This is April of 2026) that would have to be paid for a previous order of pump supplies. First off, my daughter wasn't even on a pump at that time so there's no way I placed that order. I was fed up and finally just going to pay it to move forward with the new pump when they came back and said "Oh but there ANOTHER charge of $309 from 2018. WHAT?! The service rep barely speaks English, if you ask to speak to a manager then they get mad. You can't just magically pull another charge out of your ass from EIGHT years ago and think I'm then going to pay that out. I'm in the process of trying to find another supplier. This company is evil. They don't care about patients. They just care about money.

Love/Hate Relationship
I have a love/hate relationship with this company. My insurance provider partners with them for my monthly medical supplies so I have been using them for several years. I order monthly for a 30 day supply. The way my nurse placed the original authorizations and orders, my supplies were split, so I ordered twice in a month. Since they have upgraded their website, I have experienced issues: I was able to place the 1st order without any problems, but the 2nd order a week later would not process as their system somehow showed that I had alredy ordered them a week earlier. It took 3 phone calls for someone to finally figure out the issue and the fix: combine both orders into 1. This week I logged in to place this month's order and I called to confirm that all was in order. The person on the phone told me that he would need to lower the quantity of one of my items because the authorization only showed 1 bottle, not the 2 that I have been receiving for over a year and a half. He also told me that my insurance denied the claim because I had been receiving 2. I immediately logged into my insurance and saw ALL claims had been approved. I called back, spoke with someone else and he told me the quantities I had been receiving were correct and he adjusted the order. I decided to write to customer service and initiated a complaint at BBB. I received a call this morning from Byram and they apologized for the mix-up and that the 1st person I spoke with should never had told me what he did. She said she would forward my letter to this person's supervisor for additonal training.

Absolutely the most useless supplier to be forced to have to order from. Every order is a damn fight to get my diabetic supplies. I have stood at Doctors office and witness them sending my order in again and again. Then to only hear from representatives stating they haven’t received the order. It is every single time I place the order!! I can’t count the times I have ran out of the supplies. And they will swear otp they have been sent or shipping later. The aggravation and stress is unrelenting. I had to rate a 1 because absolute zero isn’t allowed. Hopefully United Health Care will someday get another supplier? Now let me get back Otp and see where my supplies are?

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My experience with this medical supply provider has been nothing short of infuriating, and I would strongly caution anyone—patients, caregivers, and insurers alike—to think twice before doing business with them.
First, their communication is abysmal. They routinely provide misleading or outright false information to customers. What you’re told on one call will contradict what you’re told on the next—if you can even reach someone. Their billing operations appear to be outsourced offshore, and trying to resolve even the simplest issue turns into an endless loop of transfers, scripted responses, and representatives who lack both authority and accountability. Dispute resolution is virtually nonexistent.
Second, their billing practices are deeply concerning. Charges are inconsistent, often inflated, and extremely difficult to verify. In my experience, they overcharge insurance companies and create unnecessary complications that ultimately impact patients. Transparency is clearly not a priority.
This pattern of behavior is not new. The company was involved in a $20.9 million settlement in 2016 related to a kickback scheme alongside a manufacturer, raising serious questions about its business ethics. More recently, it has also faced class action lawsuits concerning its employment practices, including the 2024 case Dudley v. Byram Healthcare Centers Inc. These are not isolated incidents—they point to systemic issues.
From start to finish, this has been the worst company I have ever dealt with. What should be a straightforward and supportive service—providing essential medical supplies—turns into a stressful, time-consuming ordeal.
I ultimately chose to take my business elsewhere, and it was the best decision I could have made. There are far better, more ethical, and more competent providers out there. Avoid this company at all costs.
Byram healthcare supplies big fat joke!!!

After getting it re-established last month only to run into it again this month is unacceptable! I can see why they only have a one-point rating and we will be taking our business elsewhere!!
Simply incompetent
This medical supply company is a complete waste of time to deal with. They have repetitively lost prescriptions and medical notes that my doctor has faxed in. I an told that His office has sent it 4 different times. I finally ask for a copy of the paperwork and faxed it myself only to have it lost as well. Finally I got someone on the phone, got their email address and emailed the documents while I had them on the phone. They confirmed receipt. Let's see if they can loose it again.

I have not only been having a discrepancy with trying to reach Customer Service Representatives with Byram Healthcare continuously but also finally when I talked to a worker there, she tried to tell me that my Well are Trillium Advantage Medicare member i.d. # is not active & canceled my order for my incontinent supplies.
And it's not true so I called the appropriate places to get it reverified & she is wrong after all from Byram Healthcare Medical Supplies.
Please, don't make the big mistake by even dealing with this business, which is obviously under using poor business practices.
Find out about a different Medical Supply place instead or you folks will regret Byram Healthcare & the huge hassle that this has been for me.

Worse than Apria!
I received a voicemail and text saying my son's order shipped 1/26. Since then, I have called 4 times and each time had to give a ton of information and was told the items would now be shipped. It is now 2/23/26 and I don't have faith they will actually arrive. The people on the phone are ridiculously difficult and just keep repeating themselves without actually listening to me. I thought dealing with Apria was bad....but this place is far worse!

They have been postponing sending my supplies for over a month claiming they need a new prescription. My doctor has sent them 3 new scrips, and the RN has spent over 40 minutes on the phone with them to clear up THEIR problem... they just called me for the 4th time to tell me they can't send supplies because they don't have a script.

As a new ostomy patient
As a new ostomy patient, I temporarily had a visiting ostomy nurse. She set me up with Byram, because she likes them. That's great, I don't. Order needed supplies online, because the wait time on the phone is ridiculous. They take things I ordered off the order, and give no explanation. As a new patient, how am I supposed to know. My current order has been sitting in their warehouse for 4 days, waiting for the courier to pick up for delivery. Goodbye Byram Healthcare.
USE SOMEONE ELSE FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES!!
I have been using Byram for quite a while now. I put my order in. They go through my insurance and dont contact you about any balances due. When I would go in to reorder I would see a balance due and that I need to make the payment before I can reorder. I make the payment, reorder and the cycle happens again. For the past year, when I make the payment it goes to a "past due amount for 6+ months ago but it doesnt show on my end of what I owe, it only shows on their side. Please be careful with using this company and keep track of your payments! They keep telling me I have these past due payment in collections but every time I tell them I made those payments on these dates from my bank account they say "Well that payment was for another past due amount from 6 months before that original past due payment.
Do not use this company
I’ve never encountered a provider as unreliable as Byram Healthcare. They sent me on months of pointless runarounds. First, they asked for prescriptions—done. Then they wanted medical charts—done. After all that, they still refused service, claiming it’s simply their policy not to do what’s needed. Even my insurance confirmed they cover it—it’s Byram that just won’t act. I spent hours on hold and felt like I was working for them. They made me do all the legwork just to hit a wall. They even got basic info wrong, insisting my insurance was something it’s not. The customer service reps don’t seem trained or empowered to help. In the end, I was told to switch providers, which is exactly what I’m doing—because, as even insurance admitted, Byram is notorious for not providing the services they’re supposed to.
