My experience with Buzz Talent has been disappointing and raises serious concerns about their business practices.

Upfront Fees & Lack of Transparency:
Buzz Talent required me to pay an upfront fee of £144 before I even received a signed contract. According to gov.uk, legitimate agencies should not charge for representation or finding work but instead earn through commission. Buzz Talent already takes a 25% commission—higher than the industry standard—so charging an upfront fee seems unnecessary and questionable. I was already registered on Spotlight, yet this fee was still mandatory, with no clear explanation of what it covered.

Lack of Work & Unhelpful Responses:
Over the course of my two-year contract, I only received three casting calls and no actual work. When I raised concerns about this and requested a refund, I was instead offered another two years for free—which didn’t address the issue. Their excuse was that I had unsubscribed from their mailing list, meaning they “couldn’t legally contact me” under GDPR. However, I had assumed that as my agency, they would still send relevant casting opportunities rather than just blanket marketing emails.

Non-Payment Issues:
I finally secured one job in January, but now 9 weeks later, I still haven’t been paid. Other team members (represented by different agencies) have received their payments, yet Buzz Talent has ignored multiple emails chasing payment. Their own contract states that payment will be made within 6 weeks, but they have failed to meet this deadline. Another talent from the same job, also with Buzz Talent, is experiencing the same issue.

Final Thoughts:
Buzz Talent does not operate in line with standard industry practices. Their upfront fees raise red flags, the lack of work opportunities is concerning, and their failure to pay on time is unacceptable. I would strongly advise performers to avoid this agency and seek representation from more reputable agencies that follow ethical and professional standards.

Ignore the fake reviews. If you have paid a fee to join.. contact your bank to get a refund. Its fraud. I used to work for buzz. They get work but not enough to be taking on new clients. The fact they charge them is despicable. They also wont actively find you work.. You have to do all the chasing looking out for castings etc..

SCAM ARTISTS avoid this agency at all costs they took the money from me when I applied and when they had their money they told me I wasn’t suitable for any jobs due to my height and I had to be over 5ft 10 for most jobs but I wasn’t told this as I joined, 2 years I was on the books for and not one job was given to me. TERRIBLE AGENCY ignore all “good” reviews you see don’t get lured in and make the same mistake I did. Once they have their money from you they don’t want to know you!

I have been with Buzz Talent for only a few weeks. However, I am delighted at how often they send out casting opportunities, industry info and other interesting things.
I look forward to seeing where this new connection with Buzz will take me.
As a mature model, I have been afforded a two year contract. This will allow me to explore the facilities & possibilities on offer.

Buzz talent staff are outstanding in their delivery of care to their clients. The professionalism, encouragement, compassion, competence, respectful and therapeutic attributes are outstanding. Teamwork observed to be amazing following my experience with other agencies. Their practice of Inclusion, non-judgemental and non-discriminatory presentation is also a source of encouragement for myself. I was privileged to showcase a mental health awareness to participants at the last London fashion show, which gave me a sense of belonging and giving back to the society. I joined Buzz in September 2024 and I am very excited to be part of this friendly and supportive community. I have been very impressed with how hard they work to find castings and am super excited to be starting my journey with them.

I have been signed with Buzz since August 2024, when I was invited to join the agency, as I am over 60. I have found them to be very proactive and they are always sending out Casting information, which brings varied Talent opportunities to my attention. The process for applying to Casting is very straightforward, which I especially like. I have enjoyed my short time with Buzz and hope to work with them for years to come. I enjoy working with Buzz 🐝 they are a professional and friendly team. I am often put forward for some great casting opportunities. They have an inclusive and welcoming community that I am happy to be part of.

Since I was the age of 4, I have always had such a big passion for dance. I have been drawn instantly to all the different styles in the dance industry and have wanted to learn more. I started learning and performing street dance when I was 7 years old. I competed in a different variety of street dance competitions, nationals and shows. This consisted of placing 1st in solos, duos and groups throughout. I was obsessed with dance and wanted to push myself to learn more. Since then I have completed my GCSE dance and Level 3 Dance Diploma in college. I got graded a distinction in both years, which is equivalent to 3 A levels. I have been training myself by attending all different dance camps, intensives and classes. I have been training all different styles for 11 years now. I would say my strongest styles in dance are commercial, contemporary, street dance, jazz and hip hop. I am also a dance teacher at a primary school, teaching street dance/hip hop for children ages 6-11 years. I’m really interested in getting out there and pushing myself to another level in the dance industry to have a successful career in the future. Since joining Buzz Talent I have learnt so much and it has benefited me in every way. I am a hard working and flexible dancer/performer, who is always up for a challenge. This agency has always inspired me to be better and I would love to inspire others in return. This is why I think Buzz Talent would be the best agency for you.

A few years ago when I did not know better I had a phone meeting offering representation, sold a bunch of lies £120 to join and told many things which was far from the truth and what the agency can do or will do, I wasn’t expecting guaranteed work as I understand that isn’t possible but not to join n just be sent bunch of fake reality extra role castings which was completely not what I expected and they are scam artists charging different people different prices.

NO REPUTABLE AGENT CHARGES UPFRONT COST! PLEASE LOOK THIS UP!
