The platform was built to solve a frustration familiar to anyone who has ever managed a construction project: the time lost hunting down materials, ringing round suppliers, and managing multiple accounts and invoices. BuyMaterials replaces that process with a single, simple workflow. Customers build a list of what they need, set a delivery date, and submit it to the network. Local merchants then compete for the business by submitting their best prices through the platform. The customer reviews the offers and places their order in one click. What used to take hours of phone calls and site visits now takes minutes. The platform serves three main audiences. Trade and professional customers, including builders, contractors and specialist tradespeople, benefit most from the time savings and the ability to manage multiple projects and materials lists in one place. Self-builders get access to competitive merchant pricing that has historically been difficult to secure without an established trade relationship. DIY and home customers can search thousands of products across categories including building materials, timber and sheet materials, plumbing and heating, electrical, fixings, tools and more. A key differentiator is the Universal Trade Account. Rather than applying for credit with each merchant individually, trade customers register once and gain access to 30-day credit terms across every merchant in the network. This removes one of the traditional barriers to switching suppliers and makes it practical to buy from whichever merchant offers the best price, rather than whichever one already has a credit file open. Trade customers are also assigned a dedicated account manager, someone with real building industry knowledge who can help source products, advise on quotes, and negotiate directly with merchants on the customer's behalf. Decent service and product and cheaper.
The service is easy to use. Somebody checked in with me to offer assistance (it wasn't needed but good to know I could contact somebody).
The supplier delivered the goods and it was a lot cheaper than going direct.

Building our home extension.
We have been building our home extension since August last year , and most materials have been purchased through this website. Jonathan has helped us get quotes and materials since day one, and would have saved us hundreds of not thousands of £. Always quick to respond even when we were under time constraints. Highly recommended and will continue using their services as we work on the interiors.

Really simple and easy to use great range of products available and easy to navigate site.
Delivery didn’t arrive when it was meant to but one call to account manager at it was sorted and delivered within 2 hours!
Will definitely be using the site again I got a better price than I could get on my own trade account and the materials came from my usual merchant!
