Avoid using this company. Waiting four weeks for a book to be delivered that was listed as in stock

17 days waiting on books. They say book is in stock but it’s not. So they take your cash & wait until book comes in. I’ll be taking them to small claims court…

Buybooks is really bad, and i am not going to use it ever again. Very poor customer service. I was waiting for my school books for 4 weeks, always worrying and looking for some feedback from the company, because i needed them right then in school. Moreover buybooks haven’t sent me any messages about occurring situation. After a long time only when i texted them again i got a message that they don’t have one of my subjects in stock that’s why it takes a huge delay. Why couldn’t they tell me that right after my order. I had to cancel this book subject and wait for others. Very disappointed and irresponsible

There was a delay on receiving my order for school books from buybooks.ie but once I emailed they came back to me with an update. I also spoke with Shauna and she was extremely helpful and did everything she could to get my order out ASAP. The issue was with the publishers not having enough supply. Buybooks.ie did all they could to help. Please note this when reading negative comments just pick up the phone and chat to them.

Book ordered 11 days go and still not shipped, very poor customer service and no information advising the reason for the delay. Time wasted on waiting for the book could have been used finding it elsewhere.

Ordered two books one a national school book and the other a leaving cert book on the 10th September 2024 and received them this morning which was perfect. They were delivered in a tightly sealed package to ensure my books weren't damaged on delivery.
After I placed my order a post popped up with a message stating there was a general 10 day wait on delivery. It was already too late to cancel so I emailed them to find out exactly whether the books were in stock and how long my order would take.
I got a very nice email back from them to say they were working on my order.
I received my books within 5 working days.

Quick and easy. Delivered within 5 days of my order. No issues getting a response from customer service when I emailed based on the below. The girl did say that late orders placed in August did take upto 10 working days.

I ordered books on the 13th of August. The only reason I used this company was because the website said the books were in stock. I've sent numerous emails no reply. Ive sent website messages no reply. I got a partial delivery and the books were not covered which I paid for. One book is damaged and ripped. I'm still waiting for five more books and I haven't had any update. I would avoid this company. Shocking service.

This is day 11 for me after ordering two school books and I still have had no info whether they books will be dispatched and no delivery date,
I emailed their customer service but have had no reply as of yet, I Haven't even been told who the carrier will be, I’m very disappointed

Appalling service and no customer support with emails not even responded to. Ordered 1 book last Thursday and no indication that book was out of stock or generally unavailable. The only reason I used this crowf was because Easons didn't have book in stock. No issue taking my money but no sign of book and no replies to email. The only action they took was to post a message on their site AFTER I complained on email with the message stating there was a general 10 day wait on delivery. Had I been aware of this prior to ordering I would never have placed my order. These guys have no issue boosting their cash flow by taking your money and then not delivery items purchased. Wouldn't touch these clowns with a barge pole in the future. Vince Shields

Excellent delivery service. Ordered my book on the 12th January at 1625pm, and received it today which was perfect. It was delivered in a tightly sealed package to ensure my book was safe during transportation. Would highly recommend using BuyBooks.ie for any type of book/s you need.
