Okehampton Budgens Fore Street. Awful experience. Horrid rude shop assistant called Kes or Kez. Spoke to me like a price of dirt. Shouted down the isle at me to stop my dog sniffing the shelf. Came In a week earlier to see if the store was dog friendly and assured it was and dogs were welcome. Never felt so humiliated. She said most people tie their dogs up outside and went on about allergies. Cried all the way home. So upset. So rude!

Budgens on Westow Hill and the fish wife…
Budgens on Westow Hill, Crystal Palace. I might be off on the exact date, it shouldn’t matter as the staffing doesn’t change, nor does their incompetence. They (3) were having a very animated discussion, backs to the customer at the till. I finally got the attention of one cashier who rang me up and watched the card reader as it showed “approved “ on the screen. I wasn’t offered a receipt.
As I was on my way out, one cashier barks out like a fish wife, “would you like to pay?”. Feeling humiliated but knowing I paid, I marched back to the till, and put the purchased items back on the counter to have them verify my approved purchase. Another of the previously distracted three, checked past transactions, two minutes ago, and saw that the items had been scanned and paid for.
All the fish wife could say was “sorry darling” in a perfunctory manner.
I came home and called Budgens “help” line. They said they have nothing to do with privately owned shops and lack of competence.
Is this an accurate reflection of the way Budgens would like to deal with this matter? Details of my transaction can be provided.

Very angry that our rural budgens has been sold and all the local friendly staff let go. Unfamiliar and unfriendly all non completely non English or local staff so I will not be giving them my trade...so very few jobs for the locals as it is. Strong feelings in our community

You cannot be handling customers who do shift work, could be ill, could have mental health issues. The example the old lady with long hair showed her younger colleague was shameful. But seeing as he was standing there arms folded says it all. I pity you and anyone who may be in need in the future. Poorly trained. ill informed nasty people

Absolutely useless and unhelpful. Had a parcel delivered here and they won't hold it 1 extra day for me as I am unable to collect as away. Staff member I spoke to said 'do you have ID with you?', so I said yes I have my ID with me. He then says 'someone come with ID I give them'... I explained he just asked if I had my ID with me and I already explained that I did and I was away. He just repeated himself 'someone come with your ID I give them'. Hung up. No common sense or seemingly no understanding of what I was saying or ability to understand answers to questions he asked me. Won't ever use this shop again. Useless.

Purchased poptarts and 2 Powerade both on sale. Poptarts 2.75 and Powerade 2 for 2.75 they charged me .25 more on each item and argued with me even after I showed them the sign they had up on shelf for sale

Trying to cancel a service. No one answers the phone. Have been trying since Monday morning at 10am. Tried 6 times on that day phone just rings out. Tuesday was no better-On one occasion some one picked phone up and then put phone down again. Gave up. Will go elsewhere next time.Had to send email to sales staff to cancel. Very disappointing.

Bought one of their local sourced and made chicken and vegetable pie.
Need to re source or get them to put more chicken and veg in the pie as there was very little of both more stodgy pastry than filling.

Not disabled friendly
have diverticular disease meaning my bowels release when they want which is embarrassing and very uncomfortable so I need a toilet otherwise I’m in trouble.I am classed as disabled because of this………..I had a bought and was in need of a toilet straight away and the store nearest to me was budgens who refused point blank to let me use the staff toilet even though I explained I was disabled.I had to leave the store and travel 6 miles to the nearest toilet trying to hold on……diverticular not only causes diarrhoea but also heavy Sweats and migraines meaning driving is difficult.This store refused to help.Shameful

Cashier was rude and spoke to me like she was doing me a massive favour, I asked her to put my change in the charity box when it stayed in the till I challenged her about and she replied "I haven't got time to do it now, I'll do it later, which leaves me wondering how much money has the charity lost out on to this shop, will boycott this store in future.

Budgens have had issues with the till nont being adjuted to offers product prices..Budgens cricklewood have had since a long time issues with their till. when there is an offer price. Most of the time they do not issue receipts. so Budgens are making lots of money from their promotional products. The staff has been complaining about that but none of them have been saying nothing to the boss. and no mnager aounr so. Nothing is done about it. allowing customer to loose money. unfair trading ....eg: Flora butter is on offer at £2.25. payment at the till that lady took from me £3.29. Same for 16 rolls toilet paper currently on offer. Same lady charges us original price OVER £10. THE STAFF is not trained and ignore these offers so we are charged original price. after many complaints this budgens store. still keep ignoring the issues of non adjutement of the till to new offers This non adjustment prob of the till has been a problem for long. time charging promotional product as full price instead of offers price. ..Staff is untrained resulting to language and confict / arguments. that lady trying to defend her wrong doing raised her voice uncontrollably.

Budgen's in Hove Run Down!!
I was very upset for the staff in Budgen's Church Road Hove. The staff are so great but the shop itself is falling apart. Nothing seems to work. The electronics at the counter are often playing up and now even the radio has stopped working due to the laptop falling apart. One of the joys of going in Budgens was the cheery staff enjoying the music which often brings joy to everyone who visit. Who ever owns this store needs to do a serious revamp. It's a very busy shop and the expense of a laptop renewed and rewiring to the main speakers is not really alot...
Untrained newbie worker- falsely accused customer of stealing.
2nd of Aug...untrained new worker with poor English unfortunately. No manager around most of the time. Unexpectedly and without reason or proof./ evidences. Openely and abruptely i was accused of stealing 2 apples.. i had a plastic container with 5 differents fruits which I bought elsewhere. this arrogant man at the till. was forcing me to pay something i bought prior to entering budgens store Cricklewood . unbelieveable. 2 times within 7 days, i also faced with weird attitudes from that same worker.. No managers around so these newbies act at times rather unappropriately due to lack of proper training. And left to manage that budgens themselves despite numerous issues. ...appauling and himuliating attitude.. Clients are verbaly victimised by such arrogance and false accusations. HEY COME ON GUYS...CHECK YOUR VIDEO CAMERA. !!!!!!!!!!! DISGRACE...NO ONE CARES IN THAT STORE...OR.ABIDE TO THE CODE OF CONDUCT COMPLIANCES
