Just had a new installation of inverter and batteries.(from a different company) as the batteries which were installed by Brookfields (We had 3 batteries installed in the loft at the cost of £800 each) stopped working and were wet! Even though they were guaranteed for 5 years and the 5 years didn’t expire until this coming June, we were told the company they got them from had gone bust so we’d have to buy new ones.

When the installers came today
they said that the way it was wired up the batteries would never have worked properly as the pin settings were all wrong and the wiring and fuse boxes were disgusting and the batteries probably NEVER worked.
I am totally disgusted that I paid out so much money and never got the service I asked for

I ordered white sandals but they were beige, I returned them as wrong colour but wasn't given the full refund and im £8.95 short, I asked brookfield why and was told its their policy !!!! In the 59 yrs ive been shopping ive never been out of pocket if the wrong item has been sent before. Wont be using again what a CON

Used after recommendation. Really nice company to deal with. They weren't pushy and helped decide what suited me best. Have their own scaffolding team which makes a difference. Scaffolding went up no issues. Fitters on the day they installed were very friendly and easy to work with. Very pleased with the whole process. Electricity generated so far is what I expected and electric bill will be significantly down

Assuming Brookfield Installations is a related company. Brookfield phoned me and fixed an appointment for a survey of my solar panels. They then phoned me three times the next day, apparently incapable of recording who was already a customer. The final call, when I complained, resulted in threats to bother me with calls all day. I will not be using them again.

my personal experience as follows fitted and had to be replaced due to faults to which I can prove the system still taking off the grid when battery was at 80%
was asked to pay extra £300 for a part which they removed in end, was told I did not have to pay it but if not they did not know when they could install this was after a second deposit of 4k had been made making the situation feel you had to pay although I could have just waited months. I was told the electric I had produced was safe but octopus energy just told me its gone and wont be paid for it when I can eventually sign up, so with that loss and the electric I should not have been using makes it worse. anyone asks me who did mine i tell them theres better out there

Signed up at beginning of May for August install and got pulled forward to July. Brilliant!
The sale engineer was down to earth and honest about equipment and performance so went ahead for a super low deposit.
Quality of install and equipment excellent and panels have performed well since then.
Everything downhill after that. Paperwork took one and a half and the DNO two months to arrive despite repeated requests and no explanation ever given as to why.
Inverter was left in factory reset condition and was told that changes by the customer were not allowed / encouraged and so would be carried out remotely by Brookfields.
I drew their attention to the fact that the battery was only discharging to 80% was not covering overnight running costs. An engineer came and confirmed that the equipment was Ok followed a week later by an incompetent who made inverter changes that ended up costing a £1 a day more than it did before the changes.
After many hours of YouTube videos I took the bull by the horns and programmed the inverter myself.
I did this very gingerly over the course of 3 months with no positive input from Brookfields or the inverter manufacturer.
I now have a simple programme that is a fit both summer and winter conditions so will not need any further changes. So why are the installers not doing this 10 minute program setup as part of installation.
Are installers taking the customer for an idiot. I think so, YES!
Despite the non existent commissioning I would still recommend Brookfields and did so to a neighbour.

The sale was Hassel free good price, first date organised didn't happen but the install was great saddly only got 2 of the 3 batteries I wanted but that's a nation wide issue. Sorted my own 3 batteries finally got them to agree to install these but now communication has become less and less. Have to say the communication side of things could do with been better I get they busy but that's the main thing to getting business. I would recommend them but you need to keep on them as I am still trying.

We saw their facebook ad for Solar panels and storage and booked them for an appointment. No hard sell, just genuine facts.
We paid our deposit and they rang to say they could come ahead of schedule. So we booked, they came, no mess in and out and left a clear instal which is working brilliantly.
We had a slight issue we needed to call them over (not their fault) and they sent an engineer out the next day.
Definitely value for money and recommended.

I see comments about batteries and investors for some people. I am also aware from trying to expand ours that there is a national shortage of batteries and investors due to demand, so this is down to global issues no doubt

Ordered Solar installation with battery storage, paid a deposit and was given a date for install, that date slipped due to "shortage of batteries and inverters" eventually was told that spares were expected by end of June now told, sorry but thats slipped to July. so 2 1/2 months no installation and no date for install so have cancelled order and requested a refund of my deposit. My advice is avoid this company.

Excellent service the installation did exactly what we wanted. Solar PV with battery back up, the electricity we don't use during the day is stored and meets our needs for the evening. Would recommend Brookfield if your looking for similar.
