The course has been excellent
The course has been excellent, I learnt a lot and enough to be a freelancer.
Especially, I loved the structure of an article, the method to write the paragraphs, the combined sizes of sentences, the special careful in the legal aspects, ethics, copyrights, and professional behaviour that each freelancer journalist should have to avoid a huge! demand in Court.
The highest level of research to take account on any topic to smash an article was significant remark.
Many good things I learnt and I am following the advises of this course to start working in the field. I have began to write, and I profoundly content, because my native language is not English and I encouraged myself to write in this language.
I am very thankful with the team because I faced very challenging moments when I was doing this course, but finally I managed to accomplish with my assignments and finish it.

Wonderful guidance throughout
I did the Professional Freelance Journalism course and am so happy I did. The course content builds up at a pace which is easy to understand. It covers all aspects of freelancing and writing. There was things I would not have even thought about myself. The self exercises are great for reinforcing the knowledge you learn. Judy, who was my tutor, is very knowledgeable and her feedback reflects that. She offered insightful guidance the whole way through the course. Any questions I had were answered promptly.
This course is brilliant value for money.

Enjoyable and insightful
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was perfect for somebody completely new to the area of freelance journalism and gave a very good grounding. Tutor feedback was prompt and useful; the self-paced format made it extremely accessible, and although only a twelve tutorial course, it gave plenty of opportunity for topic exploration and practice. I am really glad I registered and very happy to receive my media pass!

Really useful and comprehensive
Really useful and comprehensive. The admin team and were very helpful and prompt. The feedback itself was very practical and helpful for progression into journalism, though less contact from the mentor outside of assignments. I would recommend this course to any aspiring journalist.

All at your own pace
Doing things at your own pace and receiving honest feedback is exactly what I needed.
I completed the course while on Maternity leave. I would have liked some audio visuals or pod casts, just to change it up a bit.

Great course and feedback
This course was insightful and well structured. There was a lot of very useful information across the 12 readings, as well as links to further reading for continued learning. The feedback from my supervisor was always very quick and supportive. I am very happy with the whole process and the course, and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning freelance journalism.

A Focused Course - Excellently Administrated
The course's content was broad yet entirely focused. Tutorials were well written and effectively presented, with the right amount of plenary self-exercises to help consolidate. The assignments were challenging - good!
Judy was an informative and encouraging tutor - feedback was quick, encouraging and suitably critical. The admin team were highly supportive. The online environment was rich, yet simple to navigate. Thank you to faculty and administration for facilitating my graduation!

This course has taught me SO much more than I thought it would
Studying with the British College of Journalism was effortless and has taught me SO much.
I received the modules weekly but had as much time as I needed to return them. Feedback was given in good time and always before the next assignment so I could take on board feedback and implement it.
I already work in the writing field as an edu-journalist but wanted to gain journalism experience and a qualification. This course has taught me SO much more than I thought it would and has been such a good use of my time.
