I've just renewed my campervan insurance with Brentacre for something like the 14th year running. They're so much easier to deal with than any major insurer I've ever had to deal with for my regular car. Prices do seem to go up and down with the general market and they don't try to rip me off each year by wild changes in either the premium or the excesses. There's a lot to be said for the ability to get straight on the phone to somebody who's British, can communicate well, is well trained, knows the industry well, and understands what a campervan is and all its modifications (which you simply list once). With other insurances I have to shop around or haggle every single year, and fortunately I don't have to with Brentacre, which is very refreshing.

Best place for modified insurance, sooo easy to ask them for help or advice if need be.

Calls are always answered before 3 to 5 minutes of calling in my experience..
And I've insured with them for 5 years.

Great service with great prices if you have a van or a campervan. Sad to leave after 4 years with you. However, ive now got a car and found cheaper for thst. But, I will be back once I get another van.

I’ve been with Brentacre Insurance for four years now and the service has been consistently excellent. The team are always very friendly, helpful, and take the time to clearly explain everything so you fully understand your cover. They genuinely try to help rather than hinder, which makes a big difference compared to other insurers I’ve dealt with in the past. On top of that, their pricing has always been very competitive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

A competitive quote for insurance of my self build VW campervan was offered over the telephone. We couldn’t finalise the deal, as the length of the call took us past the open hours of the insurance company that would be providing the cover. I called back the next day. The second representative made me go through all the details again of all the modifications, then said he couldn’t give me a quote until I provided the exact date of when my wife passed her test (she would be a named driver), even though we both passed our tests over 45 years ago! I suggested that he could get the date from the photograph of our licences and/or the check codes for our licences that he also insisted upon, but he wouldn’t accept this. He also informed me that, despite my going through all of the vehicle modifications with two reps, I would have to write it all onto a form that they would send. I decided that their intense focus on their internal process was not worth my time and effort. I terminated the call, then called another insurance company and got a slightly better quote, with more add-on’s and no insistence on filling out forms, sending photos of licences, no licence check codes required. Brentacre should show a little more trust in customers’ statements, because in the even of a claim, if the customer is found to have provided incorrect information, they would be within their rights to refuse the claim anyway. All in all, about 90 minutes of my life wasted with this navel-gazing company.

Useless, called asking for a quote. Told straight away without taking any of my details that they couldn't insure me. Waste of time!!!

I have just signed up our VW Camper with Brentacre, a competitive price, compared to some of the other insurers. Very helpful on the phone (yes, you actually speak to a human!) very prompt at setting up everything, and helpful. So glad I found them.

Spoke to two members of staff (one of which was Keely) to sort out the insurance for my first imported American classic. Both were incredibly helpful and friendly and thorough in explaining everything to get my car insured at a great price!

If you have a modified car don't go anywhere else!
These guys have years of knowledge in this field. They call you back, are timely with the documents and anything you need to do, and are very friendly.
Their prices and service are unbeatable in this sector!
Highly recommended for all modified vehicles. If I could have given 6 stars I would have!
