Most rubber walking stick tips that are big enough to fit the diameter of a wooden walking stick tend to have a tapered shape, flaring out at the bottom and that flare has a tendency to get caught on things when you're hiking, the Brazos has a nice rounded shape that works perfectly.
Only been on two hikes with the new tip and it's holding up nicely.

There seemed to be an inordinate number of simple pine sticks, apparently derived but cutting pine dowels. Little or no originality, no taper, nothing that set the sticks apart from closet rods. I rather expected a more natural selection with blemishes that I could rework. Love your sticks just not the selection I received.

Lost my first cane. This replacement is almost an exact duplicate. Best part is it arrived 2 days earlier than promised.

Brazos makes an excellent product, I am delighted with it and especially appreciate the prompt shipping. The walking stick replaces one I bought a few years ago at the Texas Rangers Museum in Waco, possibly made by Brazos? What's more, Brazos helps me remember our happy trips to the hill country when our son worked for the US Army at Fort Hood. A welcome souvenir, if you will.

The walking stick I bought t for my husband was beautiful and sturdy. It was well packaged and delivered in a timely fashion. Due to my mistake, it was too tall but my husband was easily able to cut it to his preferred length.

My hawthorn walking stick has exceeded expectation. Very sturdy, and because I hike difficult terrain, I never worry about it collapsing or bending like the adjustable aluminum sticks. A perfect hiking companion. Also, a great “critter pole” when I need to guide a grumpy trail inhabitant to a safe location (aka rattlesnakes) 😊. Hiking many miles every year tends to wearout the rubber tips. I never have a problem getting the replacements I need to stay on the trail.

The walking stick came quickly and is absolutely beautiful.

I use mine frequently. I have also given them to friends and family. Most of them live in the Rocky Mountains or the foothills thereof. They are also good for dispatching rattlesnakes when the need arises. Although I haven't needed to do that personally. It looks nice, and no one is afraid to use it. Replacement rubber tips can be found in any hardware store.
