First Panama Hat, helpful telephone sales and follow-on via emails - always answered quickly. My measuring was not great, so I had to return the first one and get one 2 CM smaller, and still use the tie inside the hat for the final fit. All of this was easy to do wth the company. And of course the hat, I really love it. Looks good (I hope!), very comfortable in our increasingly tropical weather. It seems to me to be of very good quality. I will wear it in and on the next sunny holiday, and try rolling it and taking it with me.

I can not rate this company highly enough. The Panama hat I bought is of excellent quality. Through my own idiocy, I damaged the hat band. and Borges & Scott were kind enough to replace the band free of charge and pay for postage both ways. They even got it back to me in under a week because I had told them I needed it by a certain date.

Superb Hat and Service
I already had a Panama hat that I bought several years ago, but I found the 8cm brim to be too wide.

I spent some time trying to find a quality hat at a reasonable price with a 6 to 6.5cm brim.

I sent an email to Borges & Scott to ask the brim size and had a prompt response from Erika. She informed me that the brim width does vary, but they would endeavour to send a hat with my preferred width. All she needed was my order number after I purchased online.

I purchased the hat and sent the order number. Within 2 days the hat arrived in a sturdy box and the brim width was 6.2cm. Erika is truly a credit to the company. What more can I say!

The hat is very light, comfortable and excellent value for money. The added extra of having an adjustable sweatband is useful.

A first class service from a reputable company.

I puchased a Fedora teardrop pananma for my husband so he had something smart when we travel overseas. Unfortunately after the firts use a small hole developed in the front of the hat. He had not pinched it or rolled it so we are unsure how this happened and can only think it was faulty. He continued to wear it but had only 3 holidays with it before it became unusable.
When I contcated Borges & Scott they were most unhelpful, saying that my husband had pinched the front of it, which is ridiculous since he was aware from the first use that there was a weak point and made sure to handle it very delicately.
I'm really dissappointed and wish that I had spent the £90 on something of better quality. Reading other reviews has confirmed hat it is likely a faulty product-not their usual quality- but their attitude stinks. Will not be using them again, which is sad as we like to but British where possible.

I do not think 20% is significant to replace something that was obviously faulty.

The picture cannot show significant wear as he barely wore it at all.

I have been searching for quality traditional flat caps. The newsboy cap defines my personality. Finding a British made Harris Tweed cap was awesome! My Tay is high quality, fits perfect, brings a simple smile to my face when I put it on my head.

Excellent experience and outstanding customer service. I wanted a size that wasn’t in stock, so I emailed them and received a reply within an hour. True to their word, the size I wanted became available on the date they said it would. The quality of the product is excellent, and they offer a no-quibble returns policy if the hat doesn’t fit. Delivery was very quick.

What a brilliant company. The website is extremely easy to use and clear. The hat I ordered came quickly and securely. I decided that I would like one with a wider brim (the initial one they sent had a brim of 5.5cam at the front and back and 6cm at the sides) and so I wrote back and asked to change it. They said yes immediately, and send me the 7cm all-round hat I wanted. Free return, and free postage out again. Perfect. The customer service staff over the emails were clear, helpful, and friendly. I would recommend to anyone who wants a new Panama.

What a Fantastic hat, I've had a folding brisa before, but since Olney stopped producing them haven't, until now, found a decent one. when you look at the panama hats in the likes of Tesco, utter rubbish. But this one WOW! fast turnaround just 2 days from order to delivery, ina full sized box. as I ordered the travel tube was expecting it to be in this.

My daughter put me onto your company as a new Panama was required. It turned out to be inspired not only the quality of the hat but the helpful service getting it delivered next day was very helpful.

I bought a hat from the Signature range which was competitivly priced. A fine quality hat! The website is simple and accurate. What you see is what you get. The sales team are very helpful and have time to discuss the nuances of a hat. After all, buying a hat is quite personal. Delivery was quick too. Cannot recommend Borges and Scott highly enough

I received the Harris Tweed Lomond cap in the coffee color yesterday, and I'm genuinely impressed. The fit is perfect, the craftsmanship top shelf, and the company, Borges & Scott, demonstrated impeccable customer service when my cap took longer than I expected to travel to my home in Hawaii. Though it had nothing to do with them and everything to do with the American postal service, Erika was in touch with me along the way to "hold my hand", so to speak, as I awaited delivery. That personal touch was reassuring in today's online impersonal marketplace. The quality of the workmanship and material are levels superior to a similar cap I have from another company. I look forward to wearing it in style at our Davidson Clan Association gathering this fall in Scotland at Tulloch Castle. Thank you Borges & Scott!
