When I purchased BookyAI I was rather skeptical. Upon installing the program it seemed to be another just another idea machine. I had several rough starts trying to get it to assist me with my partial chapters. After contacting support a few times and not giving up I finally got it to work. I actually did a small 10k word short story and it came out great. Since then they have added Audio which again had a few glitches but is working well now. I have not tried the cover generator yet or the newest addition series.
My main concern is continuity between chapters. I find a lot of times if I have not created an ending already or if I allow the writer to go it alone it will repeat parts of the previous chapter in the current chapter. I also find that at times if you ask for it to expand a chapter it will borrow lines from the chapter before or after.
I just want to be clear the program will self write and it does a good job besides the continuity issue above.
I am glad I decided to join when I did and watching this grow has been great. If you want a good program that is getting better and better this is the one.

Preston, thank you for such a thoughtful review; it means a lot coming from someone who pushed through the rough start. On continuity: you've described it precisely. Recent versions strengthened the book's memory — each chapter now gets structured recaps of the previous ones (what happened, open story threads, where every character is), which cut the drift a lot — but the specific repetition you see (a chapter retelling part of the previous one, or Expand reusing lines it was shown) isn't fully solved yet, and it's now at the top of our list with concrete measures: explicit "start where the last chapter ended, never re-narrate" rules, content recaps for non-fiction too, an Expand mode that is forbidden from reusing surrounding text, and an automatic overlap check that regenerates a chapter when it repeats the previous one. Until then, two things help: review the outline before writing (make sure no two chapter summaries cover the same beat) and keep the Codex threads current — the AI follows them closely. I'll let you know personally when the update ships.

I have uploaded my own manuscript several times trying to learn BookyAI and other things as a brand new author. I only have one book so far on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. I wanted to see how BookyAI handled an uploaded manuscript and if it would make my publishing process easier. Every time I had an issue the BookyAI team jumped on it and fixed it and immediately created a new Update. I am pleased to say they have been pretty successful of most all of the problem corrections and deserve credit for currently having much better customer support now and do their best to understand every single issue. Thanks BookyAI.
