One star is too many!!
One star is too many!!! I will start with the very few positives. Maya is the person that messaged me on FB messenger. She was very friendly and kind. We talked on the phone a few times. I was apprehensive about joining their company. Maya was not pushy but persistant was quoted $500 and I could pay half and than the second half at another date.
Once the payment “went through”. (More about this later). I got an email and than a phone call from a person named Kevin Jones. He was the “project manager” he told me I make all the decisions. He said I’d be the one bringing the characters to life. I sent him my manuscript. And two days later. I get a “cover photo” my book has the word “pond” in it the cover had “POAND”. With characters and whole nine. Without even talking to me about anything. They also send me the first three pages. And the were duplicate words very poorly written. Than after 4,5 days after I paid them. (Zelle). They said they never received my money. Even though they sent me an invoice saying they received it. Than when I sent them the proof of payment magically they got it When I agreed to sign on. They also sent me a contract. Which there was no place for me to sign and agree too the terms. In the beginning of the conversation with Maya she said. At any point I can pull out. After all these mistakes i decided to pull out. It was Saturday night when I reached out to Maya. I get a text message early Sunday saying “I heard you’re not happy with me. I never said those words. Early early early Sunday morning Kevin calls. I texted him saying I’d call him back in a bit. When I told Kevin I wanted to pull out. It went from being super nice to VERY AGGRESSIVE and attacking me. One quote he said. (And I have texts to prove it). “You just want your $250 back so you can buy beer and snacks. I said this conversation is over. I’ll find a way to get my money back. He said “you called me you fool”
Luckily they never accepted the Zelle payment so luckily I was able to pull my money out. I contacted Kevin. Saying I no longer wanted communication with him. And again he kept making it my fault. After further investigation they have 4 ceo’s but yet. None are listed on google. At all. Maya did call and apologize and apologize she offered me a discount if I wanted to come back. Which was nice. But the damage was already done. Do not sign with this company.
