been dealing with this business a while now for cardboard shipping boxes as i was always being let down in the past, i have had no problems at all with quality or delivery times in fact the owner john has put himself out to help me out several times,smashing fella

Good price compared to others, very well packed. Not as thick as I expected, but seems strong enough.

Used the guys for a golf driver box, and as I was local was able to pick it up. Communication was great, service was great, price was fantastic and the quality of the box superb. Highly recommended.

I placed order 10034 over a weekend. Shortly afterwards, I received a tracking link stating that delivery was due on the Wednesday.

Wednesday came and went. By Friday, I checked the tracking again and saw that the parcel had apparently never even been handed over to the courier.

So, a shipping label was created, but the order itself seems to have gone nowhere? I emailed asking for an explanation as to where my order is and, nearly a week later, I have had no reply at all.

It has now been a couple of weeks since ordering. I have no parcel, no update, no apology, and no explanation, but of course they have taken my money.

The knock on effect is that the item I needed to send in the post is still sitting in my house, and I have now incurred a late fee as a result, which means this company’s failure to provide the service it advertised has caused me further inconvenience and cost beyond the cost of the order for the box itself.

Having since looked at other reviews, it is clear that I took a punt here and lost. Even if the company claims it is not scamming people and has had problems due to illness, the reality is that months later these issues clearly have not been resolved.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this company unless you are happy to risk paying for something that may never arrive.

Update after the company’s reply:

The company says the order was dispatched. Their own FedEx tracking says:

“Awaiting drop-off. We have not yet received your parcel at the drop-off point. The estimated delivery date has passed - please drop off your parcel as soon as possible.”

That is their courier, using their tracking, saying their parcel was not handed over. Yet the response is to suggest I may have misunderstood. I have not.

I understand perfectly well that I paid for goods. I understand perfectly well that I do not have those goods. I understand perfectly well that FedEx says it does not have them either. I also understand that the company has not refunded me.

My email was sent on 17/05/2026 at 15:50 and did not bounce back, I have a copy in my sent box.

They say they want the opportunity to put things right. They had it when I emailed. They had it when they replied to this review. Instead, they chose to imply confusion and ask me to start again.

This is a straightforward case of contractual non-delivery under consumer law. I paid. I have no goods. Their courier says it has no parcel. They have not shown delivery, have not shown handover, and are still holding my money.

If missing orders are taken seriously, this one can be resolved very simply, refund the goods that have not been provided.

I stand by my initial review.

Needed some postage boxes for a variety of items. Was able to find what I needed easily on the Black Country Boxes website. Ordering, payment and delivery were straightforward. Boxes arrived quickly, as described and worked well for the items I was posting.

Ordered a Tv box, 4 corners and some Bubble wrap.
The Bubble wrap was all but useless, it looked like it had been trampled on and many of the bubbles were popped flattened, so when I put round the TV the screen was not protected, I had to rush out to argos and by more bubble wrap.
The 4 corners were very good and did an excellent job.
The box arrived with a hole/damage on it like some thing had hit it but this did not show any damage on the transit wrapping so was not caused by the carrier, the box was also folded, so the two main flat sides which would cover the TV screen and rear had a crease down the centre which makes the box less sturdy. When I folded one of the end flaps down it litteraly just ripped along the bend that had been made by the folding. While I understand the boxes come flat packed I did not know this would include them being bent and folded where they should not be.
The delivery was very fast although being kept updated was poor, after receiving email to say it was shipped with tracking number, the parcel shown as waiting to be received by fedex right up to the evening of the 6/05, On fedex it said expected delivery friday 07/05, the next morning 07/05 fedex is at my door with the package, the tracking had changed to we have your parcel at 6.30 am on the 07/05 then 6.59 out for delivery.
If the bubble wrap had not been cheap damaged and the box had not been folded in half I would of give this a 5 star even with the lack of tracking.
I had no choice but to use the items as I have a collection booked to collect the TV in the morning.

After leaving my review the owner of this company phoned me up and went through everything with me, apologised and told me he had refunded me a percent of my payment.
I was shocked to hear he was willing to do this, not many companies would deal with a problem so fast and in a good way, For this I changed my rating as I feel this was dealt with professionally.

They didn’t send me anything at all I would like a refund, terrible service and no contact from them at all.

Have used this company for over two years now for long golf club boxes and the service is always first rate. The cardboard is quality and thick which is needed when shipping such delicate products and the delivery is always prompt, even when on a tight deadline.
