First class service
On September 18-19 my wife and myself were moved by Bishops move. A team led by Jorden provided us with the easiest of moves that we have experienced - we have moved house 11 times. The service was first rate from initial contact with back office and admin' staff to Jorden's team on the day. I would recommend Bishops Move without hesitation to anyone who asked. Fast and efficient
The guys who helped us move were a great team. Hard working and nothing was too much trouble. The move occurred at a super fast speed despite the new house being over multiple floors and with restricted internal space. Would definately recommend.

There were some challenging moments with large sofa and table and small entrances and hall but they dealt with it all professionally. They did not moan at all. They were all fun kind men and that made such a difference to the day.

The Bishop’s team were just amazing, from the quote to the move itself. Great support and planning followed by swift delivery.
On the day things moved quicker than I thought was possible both loading and unloading happened far faster that I thought was possible. The guys on the removal vehicle were brilliant and nothing was too much to support. A job well done and right first time.

An outstanding service
An outstanding service we’ve had from everyone. From Vicky Murrell in Sales responding so quickly to our panicked enquiry through to Tracy McCombe providing a very prompt survey and support. Excellent service topped by the two cherries that are Chris and Dwayne from Exeter (please tell them), who were professional, unbelievably efficient, good humoured, positive with absolutely nothing being too much bother. They really made moving home a complete pleasure, and I would hope this feedback is fed back to them and their manager. Really, really outstanding.

All fees up front!
Planned to go with Bishops despite being the most expensive quote based on their BAR approval. That would have been a very poor judgement call. We were advised and quoted on there being a need for a double decker lorry and a separate shuttle Luton van to deliver down narrow road. We considered this but were suspicious when they requested an extra fee to insure our possessions and we became very suspicious when we were told that all money would be needed to be paid up front, which is contrary to statutory consumer rights law and rights to cancel. We separately engaged a reputable removal company who said two Luton vans would do the job at half the price quoted. We dodged a bullet, you should too.

We are sorry to read that you felt you couldn’t use our services, but would like to clarify that it is industry standard for removal fees to be cleared before the move date. As a BAR member, this payment is also fully protected by the BAR’s Advance Payment Guarantee, which we find gives our customers complete peace of mind with regards to fees.
Vehicle recommendations are always based on access and safety following our free survey — smaller firms may suggest smaller vans simply because that’s all they have available. Regarding insurance, we ask all customers to ensure they have cover in place, either through us or their own policy. This is nothing to be suspicious about. Some removal companies sell basic cover as a “free” service, but this typically only provides "limited liability" rather than our cover that offers full replacement value.
It seems we weren’t the right fit on this occasion, but wish you all the best with your move.
The move went accoridng to plan and…
The move went according to plan and nothing was broken. It was dealt with in a professional manner and the guys working on the project Rees, Amerik, Nigel, and Darren were superb. They were courteous, strong and incredibly helpful even when it came to the disassembly and reassembly of furniture.
If I did have one criticism, I do think Bishop's Move could assign more manpower to its jobs. For moving a multistorey property more than 3-4 people should be used to ensure that fatigue and exhaustion does not set in for the movers. They were exceptionally obliging given the huge volume of materials they had to carry and move.
Charad in the office was also very good at handling the logistics and operations of the move.

Exemplary service
We initially contacted Bishops Move back in January 2025 as we thought we were imminently about to move - The surveyor (Stuart) was great on the video survey of our home and the process was quick and well explained. After our sale fell through, we eventually moved out in September, but in the interim period, the company (Sharad and Stuart) kept checking in with us to see how we were getting on and if we needed any more assistance. We exchanged contracts one working day before our removal into storage was due to commence, but Sharad and Stuart both kept things calm, and Sharad allocated the resource needed. We had 5 people (predominantly from the Cambridge branch) across 3 days to get us packed and into storage, and we couldn’t fault a single team member - Their work ethic, friendliness and team spirit were exemplary. We have never seen a team more professional and motivated about their work and would recommend them without any hesitation. It may sound daunting to have 5 people you don’t know, in your house packing your life’s belongings up, but with our experience of Bishops Move, it couldn’t have been easier or friendlier.
