This is one of the worst companies I…

This is one of the worst companies I have ever in my life had to deal with. I call every month to get my medication. And every single time since I started using them in Janurary 2026 they screw it up. And then it requires hours of my time making phone calls to try and get it straightened out. They blame others for the mistakes they make. Everyone you talk to tells you different / wrong information. Making you miss dosages you need. I don not understand how can be so many mistakes every single time I go to fill my medication. Sounds like from reading other reviews I am not the only one with this issues. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these people.

I thought my psoriasis was unnecessarily burdensome and painful, then I was made to deal with these folks...

I don't understand why it takes hours upon hours of phone calls to fulfill my Stelara prescription. But I have found working with your team is unnecessarily burdensome and painful.

Given that I am not employed by Johnson & Johnson, I am not sure how the role of making their copay card work should fall on my plate, but seemingly, unless I spend hours on the phone regurgitating the instructions the manufacture provided and then encouraging your agents to call the manufacturer for help, your employees are unable to figure out how to process the charge.

Similarly, I am also not employed by my doctor's office, but somehow y'all seem able to contact them only when I am facilitating this communication.

For 2026, payment and scheduling issues have affected every single refill. You have not yet managed to deliver a single dose on time. These issues have been problematic enough that I have escalated to The Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Before you acquired Kroger Specialty Pharmacy, they were able to call me exactly once as part of the refill process. I'm not sure what about the merger made the level of service so demonstrably worse, but I don't want (or need) 20 calls with non-updates. “We didn’t do anything to move your refill along” does not need to be a daily customer-facing update. 


Conversely, I specifically do want and need y'all to communicate non-trivial updates. “We’re too lazy to get in touch with your doctor, so we've gone ahead and cancelled your prescription" should have been communicated to me in a timely manner. I’m sure my Doctor and his staff would have been happy to help me explore other compound pharmacies.

In any case, I’m asking my doctor to explore options. Mostly because yall seem to enjoy making it difficult for me to get a refill, and I don’t want to break out in skin rashes due to your incompetence, again...

Minus 5 Review! Terrible

I would leave this Bio Plus Specialty Pharmacy a Minus 5 if I could. Terrible company to deal with.

I am beyond frustrated with them. My medication needs to be kept refrigerated at all times, but it arrived to me warm. I received different stories from every team member I talked to. I have not been able to get my fourth very expensive injectable despite of many phone calls. Promises that a manager will call. They don't.

Terrible record keeping in their notes. I need to explain the situation every day when I call, just to end up frustrated with no results and no follow through. Unbelievable. How does this company even exist?

I give up trying to get my fourth injection. I am transferring my prescription to CVS Caremark immediately. I will not deal with this company any more! And because my fourth injection is not usable, I am two weeks off of my prescription! And I paid for it! Just complete ineptness and "I don't care" attitude.

Nothing gets done. Absolutely nothing. Do NOT use this company.

Terrible automated customer service and they can't help you

They have been trying to fill my presiction for over a month and they cannot seem to figure out how to bill J&J with a 2-step payment confirmation. What happened to going to your local pharmacy and speaking to someone in person and getting your medicine Avoid using them at all cost if possible.

Run for your life

I never understand their process, I just need my medication refill, but they always make it so complicated. Most of the employees there are so rude and unprofessional. One female employee continued to say "Ugh" on the phone as I was verifying my address with her. I could put a refill with the link they sent me for days and no one would get back to me. I am out of my medications and I am still struggling to get my medication delivered.

I am beyond frustrated with BioPlus…

I am beyond frustrated with BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy. I have been trying to get confirmation of my medication refill and shipment since 2/9/26, and I still have no answers.

Every single day I call, I have the exact same conversation with a different representative. There appears to be no documentation of prior calls because no one seems aware of what was discussed the day before. I repeatedly have to re-explain my situation from the beginning. No one takes ownership, no one follows through, and no one actually listens.

This medication is not optional — it is critical to my health. The lack of communication, coordination, and urgency is unacceptable. Patients should not have to act as the middleman or case manager just to receive life-sustaining treatment.

I still do not have confirmation of refill approval or shipment, and the stress this causes is unnecessary and unfair.

Do better.

After years of satisfactory service…

After years of satisfactory service dealing with my specialty drug prescription, I ran into a problem trying to get a refund I am due. Three times I been told my refund is approved and would be mailed within 7-14 business days. Three times that refund has not come. I was given a phone number for a representative. The best she could do was email the department responsible for the refund. She could not get on the phone and call that department for answers, she claimed any correspondence had to be done by email and was at the mercy of hoping someone would respond. RIDICULOUS!!!

Bioplus is blocking my approved medication …

I have spent 5 DAYS on the phone with Bioplus and they still have not released my medication to my specialist. At this point, I am 3 months behind on a needed treatment and my life has been hell! I am in pain 24/7. I am fully insured by Anthem BC/BS. My medication has gone thru all prior authorizations and been approved. How can this company stand in the way of my treatments?? Who can I call to stop this nightmare?

I have filed a fraud complaint with…


I have filed a fraud complaint with Medicare re this company. My Dr prescribed Ebglyss injections and this company was to provide the injectables for administration at home. I'm well insured with a Medicare advantage plan and as a federal retirees, a private insurance company as secondary. Months ago, this company received a payment from Medicare for 5600.00, but has incompetently refused to correctly bill the secondary insurance for the 1050.00 balance, insisting on billing the secondary insurance as primary, causing denial of the claim. I have spent over 8 hours of my time attempting to resolve this over a dozen or so calls, including several 3 way conversations with myself, this company and the secondary insurance, where it was clearly understood that this company had miscoded the claim as primary. This issue has supposedly been "escalated" 5 times with no contact or resolution, except to dun me for the balance. All they had to do was send the claim to secondary as SECONDARY. To date, nearly 4 months after being prescribed this med, I still don't have it and customer service still says I owe. I'ts fraudulent to take money for meds and then not deliver them. I've done without this home therapy for nearly 4 months, having instead to rely on samples at the Drs office. Everyone knows Medicare is always primary and billed first, then secondary insurance is billed for the remainder. Gross incompetence at best, fraud at worst. I'll let Medicare decide

I just spent 2 hours again with a bioplus supervisor, who was arrogant, and blamed everyone but the pope for the problem. Towords the end of the call, he admitted, passively, that the problem was their systems and attempted to correct the errors. During the call, he insisted That his billing dept had called my secondary insurance and supposedly was told my insurance was inactive. When I told him I had just received a EOB dated several days ago which proved him wrong, he wouldn't give me his email address to send a copy to and he refused to participate in a 3 way call with the secondary insurance, which I had done twice prior that concluded that bio plus had simply miscoded the secondary insurance as primary, causing a denial. After two hours of his arrogance, I cancelled the order and demanded a refund. Deal with this company at your own risk.

My response to owners response on official site, where he wanted to communicate with me to straighten this out

reject the response as too little too late. I cancelled the order as per my comments above. Next day, Caremark Rx Specialty pharmacy filled the order after receiving it from the Dr. SAME DAY, using the same secondary insurance I provided to your company. I filed a complaint with my Dr who is part of a nationwide group, and was informed they had stopped using your company due to many complaints. Our relationship is concluded and I do not intend to communicate with your company further. I'll let the Medicare OIG speak for me and all the other consumers your company rear ended.

If I could give ZERO stars I would

If I could give ZERO stars I would. this is the absolute worst specialty pharmacy I have ever had to work with. every single month, I fight with them on the phone (for MULTIPLE DAYS and WEEKS) for my medication, only for it to be delayed over and over again. avoid them like the plague if you can. truly... save yourselves and run the other way.

I would give 0 stars but not an option!!!

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy has serious issues, they do not retune calls, do not follow up, and are incapable of shipping my medication on time. The last 2 refiles of my medicine which must be refrigerated until use! The packaging will guarantee that the medicine is keep at a safe temperature for 48 hours. They send with UPS next day air. I have received the last 2 refills in 4-5 days which the medicine is no good!! Then I have to return the medicine before they will send me a new one. Recommendation send the medicine on the Monday before needed dose!!!! BY FEDX only as UPS is incompetent to provide overnight delivery to ATLANTA GA there corporate office from Raleigh NC!!!!!

This pharmacy has been nothing but…

This pharmacy has been nothing but trouble. My daughter has a chronic illness and I called for a week trying to get her new medication so it wouldn’t get worse. I was on the phone for hours and I got nothing but promises it was going to come. The day before it was supposed to arrive they tell me it’s out of stock even though I had been on the phone with them all day that day and no one told me that. Don’t use this company. You will never get your medication.

Extremely Disappointed – Unacceptable Delays for Critical Medication

I had a very frustrating and unacceptable experience with this specialty pharmacy while trying to fill my mom’s medication. I called Wednesday morning (around 9–10 AM) as soon as we got the approval, and was told it would ship overnight for Thursday morning delivery. I was instructed to call later in the day for a tracking number.
When I called back that afternoon, I was told there was no such prescription on file and no tracking number—apparently, I had "missed the shipping cut-off." How is that possible when I called early in the morning?
They said a new order would be created and shipped for Thursday delivery. That night, a pharmacist called with additional questions and again confirmed the medication would arrive Thursday morning, but she still couldn’t provide a tracking number. She told me to call in the morning.
Thursday morning, I called again—no shipment had gone out. I asked to speak to a manager and explained how critical this medication is. This is a specialty pharmacy—patients’ lives often depend on these medications, and this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Jennifer, the pharmacist, apologized and promised to escalate the order for Friday delivery. She confirmed they had it in stock, confirmed the shipping address, and said the delay was likely due to it not being packaged yet. Again, no tracking number—told to call back Friday morning, since the tracking number will be available after it has been packed and ready for shipment.
Friday morning, I called again—still no tracking number. This time, LaQuita told me she would send an escalated email to their fulfillment center (since they can only contact them by email) and get back to me with an update.
This back-and-forth, with zero accountability and multiple contradictions, has been exhausting and dangerous. This pharmacy needs serious process improvements—patients and caregivers deserve far better.

BioPlus is predatory

BioPlus is predatory! But they come across as Saviors. Here’s why:

I am prescribed Abiraterone, Brand = Zytiga. My doctor was thrilled that under some program I was given “free” Abiraterone. And I was! Fast forward to month #4: “Your grant has ended, but no matter, the copay is only $495/month, and not to worry because after you spend $2000 on Medicare the rest is free.

It doesn’t sound predatory, but it IS. Let’s say that I believed them and paid 4 months ($2000) then my total “year” cost for this med is a “mere” $2,000. Ah, but wait: At Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Pharmacy my script would cost me $97/month. Well, $97 x 12 = $1164. (same quantity 60x500mg) But, if I had fallen for the BioPlus bait and switch, I would have paid them $2,000. So, BioPlus profits a whopping $836 MORE than if I just paid for it all, out-of-pocket, for the year.

This seems like a true, predatory classic, bait & switch.

Now, you might say: Well, they are selling you the Branded product, NOPE:

This is what is on my bottle. "N Yugen" and this from perplexity AI:

“"N Yugen" refers to Novugen Pharma, a manufacturer of generic abiraterone acetate tablets. Based on the information available, Novugen's abiraterone acetate is marketed as a generic equivalent to the brand-name drugs like Zytiga® and Yonsa®35. Therefore, if your bottle states "N Yugen," it is a generic version of abiraterone acetate and not a branded product.”

Use them if the numbers work out but beware!

Search and search hard! Today, using GoodRx the cost for 60x50 500mg = $734

Today costplusdrugs, 60 tabs x 500mg = $97

Last month, GoodRx had these for about $120!

Beware of the Bait and Switch, and BTW, “welcome to America” (America’s strange medical system).

Use them if the numbers work out but beware!

If you have a grant, use it, but YOU SWITCH, and look around, Mark Cuban's Cost Plus on the web.

3/18/25 Update: I'm now back on the totally free plan, how very odd, this all is. I complained to United Healthcare my Medicare Advantage, the did a 3-way call, and the CS at BioPlus fixed everything, for how long? We'll see

Bioplus RX has twice now tried to…

Bioplus RX has twice now tried to extort insurance info out of me and take over an Dupixent prescription.
A year to year and a half ago I was on the phone for three days during business hours repairing and returning my prescription to normal.
Day before yesterday they contact me claiming my prescription had been again sent to them by Kroger RX .
They asked for my insurance info so they could get me established without any interruption in service.
Kroger doesn't have my current prescription. It is who Bioplus used in the last attack on my prescription.
A call to Bioplus confirmed they are in fact pursuing my prescription under false circumstances Blaming Kroger.
Kroger does not have my presciption, and I would think that my insurance data would follow the scrip on a change of pharmacies.
"Oh no," they openly admit.
"Kroger is yielding this to us."
Between this and the Bioplus avoidable data breech, I'd avoid them at all cost.

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is a scam.

I have been on the phone for over 12 hours in the last month with BioPlus Pharmacy. I have an authorization for a prescription for an injectable for osteoporosis. BioPlus pharmacy representatives have called me multiple times over the past 30 days to tell me that my prescription is authorized and they need me to call them to tell them where to send the prescription. Each time I call back I am then told it's not authorized by the 'billing department'. First I was told that they didn't have the approval from Anthem (which they were sent), then they were asking my physician's office for my medical records (which is a clear violation of HIPA), then I was told the billing department had escalated the issue (which was never done), and now after returning yet another call from them (stating my prescription was ready to be sent), I am told that the 'billing department' is yet again denying payment. When asked to speak to the billing department directly, I am told they 'don't have a phone number' and can only be reached by internal email. I have been promised return calls from each representative I have spoken to and my physician's office has been promised the same. This has been going on since October 25, 2024. BioPlus Specialty pharmacy seems like a complete scam, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and who has a billing department that does not have a phone number or can only be reached by email. I am reaching out to my attorney today because now my health is at risk.

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is the worst…

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is the worst specialty pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Been trying to get a prescription filled since February 2024 and they just don't care. I'm at their mercy because I can't go anywhere else. I get the same old excuses from them. Need more authorization and more verification's. Got a text from them stating that they got my prescription and no further action from me. A week later I have to call them just find out what's going on and the same old excuse. Need prior authorizations. I called my doctor and my insurance company and they don't know what Bioplus's problem is. No one there seems to know anything at all. Thank God my medical condition is not life threatening or else I'd be in the hospital or dead. This company should not be allowed to be around. If I had a choice I would not go to them. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. No one deserves this treatment. 1 star is way too much then they deserve. I know that no one at this company cares or reads these reviews but what else can anyone do ?

So far

So far, 3 weeks and waiting to get my prescription. Each day is a new adventure and the story is long. Summed up, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing and neither have access to the brain.
Thanks for keeping my stress level down during this difficult time.

This company has the worst customer…

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I'm on a biweekly injection medication that must be taken on a strict schedule. I have to follow up with them every month in an effort to find if my prescription has been shipped. They never have my info. ready and I've spent countless hours on hold with them every month. I'm always told they'll check and call back. They never do. My advice to anyone with a prescription that needs to be filled by a specialty pharmacy is use anybody but Bioplus.
