We believe that barefoot shoes are better for everyone – that’s why we want to get kids off on the right foot and start their barefoot journey as soon as possible. We make what’s known as ‘barefoot’ shoes, which provide a more natural fit and a thinner, more flexible sole so that feet can move and develop as they were meant to. Unlike others, our shoes aren’t just a mini-version of an adult range. We’ve designed our shoes especially for kids, thinking about everything from fun colours to making it easier for kids to put their own shoes on. We only sell our shoes online. Faulty Shoes Ignored by Customer Service
Daughter's school shoes started coming apart after just 3 days of wearing, she's a creative type, would rather sit and draw than tear round the playground. The shoes have also caused a blister where the inside of the sole is coming away. I tried contacting customer services with images and asked to return them but five days later and one follow up, I haven't heard anything back.
Quality bad, customer service bad, avoid.

We take concerns about product quality seriously, and we did try to make contact so we could identify your order, review the images and investigate what had happened. Unfortunately, despite our follow-up, we didn't receive a response, which meant we weren't able to take the matter any further.

Not barefoot shoes
Fast service and a lovely website. My return was also processed efficiently - thank you. But on to the reasons for the return...These are not barefoot shoes. They have a slightly softer and more bendable sole than regular shoes, and a slightly wider toe box, but don't stray nearly far enough into true barefoot territory to claim this accolade. They're too stiff, too rigidly plastic-y, and not nearly square enough. By contrast, my children's VivoBarefoot and Froddo barefoot shoes can be rolled up like sushi, with butter-soft leather uppers - all while looking like attractive, conventional-enough school shoes to pass my kids' rigorous "but are they cool enough" test. I appreciate that Bgreater is cheaper, but the barefoot label needs amending.

Barefoot footwear can vary considerably between brands, with different approaches to flexibility, shape and construction. While some brands favour extremely soft, highly compressible soles, that isn't the benchmark used to define whether a shoe is barefoot.
Our shoes are designed around the key principles of barefoot footwear, including a foot-shaped toe box, zero-drop sole and flexibility that allows the foot to move naturally.
They are also designed primarily to support developing feet, balancing natural movement with the durability and practicality needed for everyday school wear. While some barefoot shoes can be rolled into a ball, a human foot doesn't actually move in that way, so our focus is on ensuring the shoe bends and flexes where the foot needs it to during everyday movement.
We're sorry that our approach wasn't quite what you were looking for, but we appreciate you giving us a try and sharing your perspective. 🧡👣
Back to school made easy!
Fantastic experience having booked a back to school appointment where my daughter’s feet were measured and she could choose from the great selection of shoes, she loved it! The shoes are comfortable, great quality and I love that I know they are letting her feet grow naturally and safely. She has already picked out some trainers she’d like next! Wonderful team, highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant personalized experience
Absolutely brilliant experience with BGreater.
I can only imagine how incredibly busy the team must have been over the summer with the back-to-school rush, but you honestly wouldn’t have known it from the level of service we received.
The customer service was fantastic from start to finish- friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure we ended up with the right shoes rather than simply making a sale. Any questions we had were answered quickly and the whole experience felt really personal, which is increasingly rare these days.
The shoes themselves are lovely quality (new Elsie patent style) and it’s great to find a company that has clearly put so much thought into how children’s shoes should actually fit, particularly the wider toe box and flexibility.
What really stood out though was the people behind the company. BGreater feels like a business that genuinely cares about its customers and its products, and even during what must be their busiest time of year they still managed to provide brilliant service.
We’ll definitely be buying from BGreater again and I’d happily recommend them to other parents.

So pleased with these shoes. The kids were excited to wear them on the first day day, rather than the complaints we normally have. They say both pairs are very comfortable, and they look fab. A quick delivery also helped when I ordered a bit late for the start of term. Happy kids, happy mum! Thank you for helping make the new academic year a little less stressful.

I would definitely recommend this company and their shoes! I ordered three pairs of school shoes for my children - all different styles/sizes and all are lovely. My children say they are very comfortable. We did have an issue with one shoe but this was dealt with very quickly and another pair dispatched in time for the start of school! Provided the shoes prove to be durable (time will tell), we will be ordering again once they’ve outgrown these pairs!

The entire service from start to finish was excellent. I felt listened to and valued. I was notified at every juncture and even when I had to change where the parcel was being left it was zero problem. I received 3 emails notifying me of where they were in process and delivery. The whole thing was a stress free pleasure. And I got a free child's foot measuring device too! I would definately recommend this company to everyone! Pleasure.

Customer services were responsive. Just a pity to learn they don’t do split sizes as many small kids develop a little unevenly to begin with. I certainly can’t afford to buy two different sizes until my son’s left foot catches up so I’ll have to hope they look to change this policy in the future. Everyone deserves great shoes 😊

Great quality customer service and great quality shoes
Absolutely a lovely company. I needed to change a size of a shoe we ordered and they were so accommodating. Really lovely response and customer service, very grateful for the speedy dispatch and delivery as well!
The quality of these shoes are really good, the only time we’ve needed to change my child’s shoe is only because she has grown in size but even then with the barefoot style being flat and not pushing feet down, and wide toe box, it gives her more leeway and use for longer!
My child finds these shoes really comfortable and calls them her fast shoes as they support her natural movement and boosts her confidence whilst she explores.

Supposedly wide toe box. My son is an H fit and these are far too narrow for his feet. So will be returning. I was so hopeful that these would fit as I have struggled to get shoes to fit but alas not here

I was recommended Bgreatershoes by my sister-in-law and I'm so annoyed that I didn't learn about them sooner. Phenomenal customer service (Kloe is a superstar); beautiful shoes (that my daughters claim are very comfortable) and excellently priced compared to the other leading high street brands. My children are fussy but trying on these shoes was easy and within a few minutes, both had confirmed the shoes were comfy and perfect for school. They also arrived impressively fast, despite me ordering them last minute right before the Bank Holiday weekend. I am officially a convert and will not be shopping anywhere else for my children's school shoes.

Disappointing experience
Ordered a pair of kids shoes on 22nd August.
It’s now 1st September and despite claiming they were dispatched on 24th August, DPD do not even have the parcel yet. My child needs them for this week and of course they wont be here in time now. Also sent an email asking what’s happening and no response despite their auto reply stating emails would be replied to in 24-48 hours. Really poor service and I’ve been put off from using this company again.

I spend £86 on 2 pairs of shoes and still have to pay £3.95 for delivery. The shoes themselves are great. Both my daughters have worn them for school and they've lasted more or less the whole school year. The reason for only 4 stars, delivery.

Incredible customer service
I had an issue with sizings for one of my child's shoes. I was able to exchange these easily with the help from customer services, at no extra cost to me. Very impressed with how helpful they were and would definitely order from them again. Highly recommend as they are great shoes, long lasting and very comfortable for my kids. Customer service was excellent, cannot fault my experience at all.
