I bought this product for my son
I bought this product for my 13-year-old son, who plays as an attacking midfielder in an elite team. From a technical standpoint, he shows very good qualities in training, but unfortunately it wasn’t fully translating into matches. Thanks to Be Your Best, he very quickly improved his scanning and awareness. After 3–4 weeks, the difference was clearly visible on the pitch: it felt like he had more time to organize himself when receiving the ball and was using space much more effectively.
However, where I struggle with the product is the statistics provided by the app and their reliability. On the very first day of use, he achieved a good score. After that, his score kept decreasing, even though his performance on the pitch was clearly improving. I find it difficult to explain this lack of correlation.

I feel it’s my duty to warn others…
I feel it’s my duty to warn others against this company. My teenage son asked if he could try this out last year. We agreed and he put our card in so he could charge it. First off, the product is not worth anything. My son used it one time and said it was not useful.
The bigger issue here is that they sign you up for an annual renewal without even checking the age of kids agreeing to it. Let just be clear that no child reads the fine print and it’s why they should not be able to commit to a contract like this.
I canceled it day of when I found out and he did not use the product. They had already charged me and refused to refund my money. I even contacted my card issuer and they fought it. This company is shady at best and I hope to save someone else from wasting almost $1000 on a useless product.

We had heard good things about the app and decided to try it so our son could continue to improve and elevate his game. After using it for only 2weeks we had already seen a big jump in his performance. Because the app offers success as a consequence of hard work he knew he had to do his part and with practice through the app he now scans without even thinking about it or even realising he is doing it. Its amazing and has been a real game changer in his overall development. He continues to improve and is a regular on the podium of competitive users in the app which is a great motivator. We highly recommend it to parents and footballers who want to add that extra element to their skills set.

Limited options for goalkeepers
As a goalkeeper, I was genuinely excited to use Be Your Best — especially after seeing it endorsed by elite players and clubs. I invested in the Meta Quest headset and the subscription with the goal of improving my tactical awareness, distribution, and decision-making. Unfortunately, I’ve found the app to be extremely limited and not at all goalkeeper-friendly.
The entire platform is overwhelmingly focused on scanning and basic distribution, with very little relevance to the real depth of the goalkeeper position. There are no drills or challenges for core aspects like positioning, communication with defenders, when to come out for a 1v1, how to deal with through balls or crosses, or even how to command a defense. These are make-or-break elements of the role, and they’re completely missing.
Even the scanning/decision-making elements fall short. The app gives you a grade or percentage score but no actionable feedback. If you make the "wrong" decision, you’re not told why it was wrong or what would’ve been better — which makes meaningful improvement nearly impossible. For this price point, that’s a huge letdown.
It’s clear this app is currently built almost exclusively for outfield players, especially midfielders. For goalkeepers, it’s simply not worth the money in its current form. I’d love to see the developers actually invest in building position-specific modules — because without that, the app risks alienating a whole category of players.
Until then, I can't recommend it for goalkeepers and will be requesting a refund.

You're absolutely right that our current product is heavily focused on outfield players, particularly scanning, awareness, and decision-making under pressure. While some of these elements can be valuable for goalkeepers — especially in areas like distribution and game understanding — we completely agree that there’s still a significant gap when it comes to more specialised, position-specific training for goalkeepers.
This is something we’ve discussed internally and genuinely want to improve. Your suggestions around adding modules for positioning, communication, and 1v1 scenarios are really helpful and align with the kind of depth we want to build into future versions of the platform.
In terms of feedback during scenarios — that’s also an area we’re actively looking to evolve. More contextual feedback and post-scenario insights are already on our roadmap, and we agree this would make the experience far more actionable and rewarding.

Lots of money small results.
If you have extra money this tool would be great but 19 dollars a month is way too much for me. There is a surprising amount of glitches and bugs for the amount of money they are asking aswell. I felt I improved but not as much as I would have hoped. I belive you would get out more from playing small sided and watching the game.

Great app with even more potential
This app has been very good so far in terms of improving my scanning frequency, critical scan and decision making. There are some things in the app that need some improvement, like movement of the players and the ball, but I believe the developers are working every day to improve this game and I know it's gotten better during the last several months. Overall would recommend this app if you are serious with football and want more ways to improve.

Repetitive
I began using this as an injured youth soccer/football player back in September 2023 to help improve my decision making and game IQ since it wasn't good. This is some of my feedback
At first the scenario training and match play was helping me but overtime the match play and most of the scenarios got very repetitive and I knew what decisions to make for most of the scenarios so it stopped helping me as much. I would like to see more scenarios getting added
For match play I always find myself in the same scenarios, the players make the same repetitive movements and decisions whenever we attack and defend and I find that unrealistic because in real games every scenario is different whether its attacking or defending.
I get how its still in beta so you guys are still working on the match play. But I just want to give this feedback since I haven't seen a difference with the match play and scenario training since I've noticed it back in November/December 2023.
Obviously you guys have to work on other things in this app and I have no experience with making this VR app so I don't know how long it can take you to fix things and add new things.
Overall I would get this because its helped me but it gets repetitive after a little while which can stop helping you as much
I hope you guys fix these problems because fixing these problems would help me a lot and for other people too.

I would love to have this product and I have seen how good this product can be for your training but as a 14 year old who wants to be the best mittfielder of all time I think this is what can take me to the next level, BUT, it is to much money. So I hope in the future you can make it cheaper, but for now this is my honest review. Be your best I hope you respond to this. I would love to have your product.

I cannot rate this app highly enough
The staff are very responsive and helpful. I have been using the BeYourBest app for roughly half a year and it has made a tremendous impact on my on-field performance. Where in the beginning, I had to consciously remember to scan, now I am doing it instinctively. This gives me so much more time on the ball. I can't rate this app highly enough.
