I struggled with my weight my entire life, lose five and gain 10 , yoyo diets and desperately wanting to be “normal”.
I was 235 before surgery, currently 6 months out and I am 170.
They absolutely changed my life.
I adore the staff at belightweight, they made it so easy and I am forever grateful.

I had revision surgery 6/23/21 with Dr. Rodriguez. Everything was wonderful from the time I arrived until the time I left. My daughter came with me and they were very nice to her, with the upmost respect and care. The nurses were very nice and always had someone who spoke English available to me. I have lost 138.8 lbs since my Mini Gastric Bypass (MGB). Joanne was my Coordinator and she has been available to me at all times, answering all my questions and needs. I recommend them and would do it all over again.

I had a gastric sleeve procedure in March of 2022 with BeLiteWeight at Hospital Angeles in Juarez, Mexico. From first contact to having my surgery, BeLite was very helpful, and the whole process was very streamlined. A driver picked my guest and I up from the airport in El Paso and took us directly to the hospital the day before my surgery (Thursday). I had surgery Friday morning, and was up and walking a little by dinner that evening. Saturday was a day of relaxing and recovering at the hospital (walk, walk, walk to get those gas pains out!), and our driver picked us up on Sunday to take us back across the border to El Paso to fly home.
I am now about a month out from my procedure, and I am almost 30 pounds down already! Jamie, my patient facilitator, has continued to contact me to answer any questions and make sure I'm doing well.
My only regret is not having weight loss surgery sooner!

I had a very positive experience with
BeLiteWeight. I had the sleeve done, and feel very very good now. I had great support from everyone I spoke to from the time we landed and left. And they have continued to follow up with me in the first month. I am three weeks out and feel amazing not really any downtime. I would highly recommend BeLiteWeight to anyone that is interested.

I lost 100lbs from 2014-2016 on my own then experienced a very stressful harassment situation at work. I felt very vulnerable and I packed the weight right bk on over the next year... and it seemed that no matter how hard I tried I could not lose weight AT ALL after that... then COVID19 hit and disrupted my digestion. My gal bladder, liver and kidneys were in crisis. I went to a Colonics specialist every month for a year then an acupuncturist for a year. They were expensive but definitely helped me regain some health and improved digestion tho I never lost any weight despite strict adherence to the prescribed cleanses, detox diets and herbs. I decided to research my options and discovered the gastric sleeve procedure. It appealed to me because it is far less invasive than other gastric surgeries I had researched. I actually paid the deposit to begin the process 3 times! The first one was with a surgeon in Seattle Washington area, and I met with the surgeons over zoom and the call was very informative. However, when it came down to doing the procedure the cost was not feasible! They wanted $18,000. I went to my primary care physician and she mentioned that staff members in her office had gone to Mexico and had a wonderful experience with life changing results. So I started doing even more research. That's when I signed up with surgical practice number two, in Tijuana, Mexico. After I paid the deposit they sent me consent forms and told me that if I refused to sign the consent forms without altering them they would refuse to work on me. They gave me my deposit back after I told them I want bloodless surgery only. I called a friend crying, and explained how I'd just run into a wall and she gave me another friend's number who had gone to Mexico for a gastric sleeve herself a few years ago with Beliteweight.
From the first phone call to Beliteweight, I felt at ease. They reassured me that no one would pressure me to have blood transfusions and that the surgeons are extremely skilled and the procedure is minimally invasive with a rapid recovery. I paid the deposit, booked my appt and got my plane ticket changed to El Paso, TX.
I was very strict with my pre-op diet because I wanted my liver to really shrink (like many who are obese I have Non Alcohol Fatty Liver Disease) and my liver was enlarged and painful. My kidneys also had been painful for 2 years. I also switched to a fully liquid diet 3 days before the procedure to reduce swelling in my legs for the airplane flight. I had a friend fly into El Paso, TX and meet me at the airport to help me with my surgery and recovery. I stayed the extra night in the hospital that was offered for free because I know I have problems with my legs swelling on flights and I did not want to get blood clots. The flight, the shuttle across the border, the hospital stay, surgery, recovery, and trip back across the border plus the flight home... all of it went so extremely smooth!!! I felt pampered and cared for every moment! My friend and I even had an amazing meal out together at a really upscale restaurant the evening of the day we arrived after I had my blood work and Xray done. I had a ceasar salad and Tortilla soup. Like a mini vacation! The hospital staff anticipated my every need.
I can say honestly I have not felt hungry or in need of food since the surgery. I eat because I need the protein and nutrients but I have very little emotion behind my foods choices now. The hormones that were controlling me before are just gone. The vast reservoir that could hold huge portions is gone. I now take very tiny bites and chew them thoroughly with a small spoon & tiny bowl and I'm fully satisfied even before I'm done with the 2-4oz. My weightloss is slow but I AM consistently losing weight and I'm confident I will continue to steadily lose weight. My top weight was 285. My Gastric Sleeve was 3/2/22. Today is 3/22/22 and I'm down to 257. So grateful to Beliteweight!!!

Amazing staff, doctors and hospital.

Trusting Belightweight was the best decisions I made. I was at my heaviest and started to have health problems. I am 6 months post op and I have lost 107 pounds already. No more medications and no more health problems. I have made life changes from having the surgery to changing the way I eat. The only thing I regret is not getting the surgery sooner.

I just had my 2nd surgery with BeLite in Juarez, Mexico with Dr. Rod. Had another great experience. The communication with me from the day I decided to inquire about a revision surgery to these days since I've been home from surgery has been wonderful. Any questions I have had, have been answered quickly. The new hospital is very nice and again, my care was superior to any care I've had in the US. Today is Day 6 post-op and I feel amazing and I am doing amazing. Follow the plan and their guidance and you will be successful!

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The personnel is friendly and polite, and the facility is the cleanest I've ever seen.

Took the trip to Mexico and was very pleased with how things went from start to finish. They took really good care of me while I was there.

My experience was great started a bit wierd at registration. Took long, nobody seemed to care I was waiting. In the states we are use to being called next once they are ready. Once all that was settled the rest of my stay was great. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Things were explained properly and the hospital itself was great and very clean and learning it was the best hospital in Juarez was a great piece of mind.

From first consult to surgery the team at BeLiteWeight was very helpful, informative and professional. They continue providing service post surgery consults by calling to check on me and my status. This is my second time using BeLiteWeight as I had a gastric sleeve in 2018 and now converted to a RNY in 2021.

The team in Juarez is amazing and awesome.
My stay was absolutely trouble free! I simply admire the staff and Dr. Rodriguez and I would definitely recommend BeLiteWeight and the Juarez team anytime!
