My name is Juliette Willie, and I took French lessons with Be Fluent Now for about 6-8 months with my aunt Valerie. When I first took these lessons as a 7th grader, I received such a solid foundation in the language. Now, as a senior in high school, even having learned French within the school system, I still refer back to these lessons. Learning with Valerie will not only improve your skills in the language, but it will truly make you much more immersed in the French culture itself. Especially having a native French speaker teaching you the language gave me a stronger insight as to what I was learning and how it was truly done. Overall, learning with this service was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

I am a big fan of Valerie and her Be Fluent Now study program. I've taken her French program and could hardly believe the results. They did not come overnight of course, but now, for example, my reading comprehension allows me to read short stories in French, and I find myself thinking out sentences in French. Valerie is enthusiastic and encouraging to non-francophones like myself. I always looked forward to our sessions.

Valerie was a wonderful coach and teacher. She spent time understanding my needs/desires and adapted her teaching to meet those. She combined grammar in real life situations, speaking practice, various media including music, YouTube, online worksheets and other methods to help me progress. She introduced new concepts when needed, corrected my written and speaking style, encouraged me to practice each week and gave me homework to reinforce what we learned. I really felt her multidisciplinary approach was valuable and helped me significantly when I went to France for 7 weeks. We worked together for an hour each week for 10 weeks.

Valerie is a great teacher, very knowledgeable in French, and a warm and caring person. I take lessons from her twice a week, and it has made a huge difference.
