Our experience with Beanstalk Marketing…

Our experience with Beanstalk Marketing has been very poor.
The service delivered did not match what was sold, particularly in terms of lead quality and campaign outcomes. When we requested evidence to support the work carried out (including call data and recordings), this was not provided.
We are now in a formal dispute, and legal proceedings are underway.
In our view, there is a serious lack of transparency. Any business considering using this company should proceed with caution

Good Lead Generation

Newcastle College has been working with Beanstalk for the past month, and the experience has been excellent. Vikki and Mark have done a great job generating leads, with strong support from Rhiannon throughout.

The wraparound support has been particularly valuable, including detailed lead reports and weekly meetings with Vikki and Mark, which provide clear updates and useful insight into lead progress.

We have been working with Beanstalk now…

We have been working with Beanstalk now for 8 weeks and can honestly say they are a breath of fresh air in the world of lead generation. Both Rhiannon and Sabina have been flexible and professional in their relationship with us and most importantly Sabina is generating qualified leads for my team to follow up on.

Beanstalk were very responsive and agile

Beanstalk were very responsive. Right from the initial enquiry all the way through the process. They listened to our business need, understood us as a company and our culture and ethos around sales. They then took this and ran with it, creating a large number of leads for us to follow up. They provided weekly in depth updates on progress and worked seamlessly with the team as though they were our business. From customers to the internal team, the whole process felt seamless. The first campaign worked so well we did invest in another one and in this one I also embedded 2 additional upsell opportunities, which they also successfully incorporated in. I would not hesitate to use Beanstalk again for any employer outreach work I needed. Thank you to Rhiannon and Amelia for your hard work, it's been a pleasure! Maxine

Better than the others we have used

Straightforward "getting up to speed" process.
So far so good, positive results thus far. Its early days but we are happy with progress made to date. Connor is very switched-on and knows what he's doing. Definitely on the same page as us. Bravo

Great People - Great Service

The staff at Beanstalk are exceptional, professional and effective. The team allocated to us are very friendly and knowledgeable and must highlight Julia, Amelia and Rhiannon for outstanding and noteworthy customer care. Couldn't ask for anything more from them - outstanding!!!

Very Disappointing – No Sales. Not even any Sales Appointments.

To capitalise on a very successful year of business growth, we engaged Beanstalk for a 2-month telemarketing campaign, but they delivered no positive outcomes: no sales, no appointments, nor even any leads.

Despite our extensive efforts to provide Beanstalk with target sector information, their ability to construct a viable contact database proved to be very limited and, ironically, we soon established that we had access to superior marketing tools than they were using. This limitation significantly hindered their ability to reach decision-makers and budget-holders. Surprisingly, they were also unaccustomed to contacting large organisations and struggled even to move past gatekeepers and reception staff.

Having paid Beanstalk several thousand pounds for a campaign which yielded no return is very disappointing indeed and it was a mistake to pay them up front. We made every effort to get Beanstalk to conduct a post-campaign review and to address their serious failings. However, they just took our money and ignored us. Very unprofessional. A chastening experience.

Your review is disappointing as it doesn't reflect the results, or the professional way in which your campaign was managed.

When you first made an enquiry about our services, we recommended running a limited number of telemarketing session over a 4-6 month period, as our experience of generating leads with your target market was that the decision maker wouldn't commit to a meeting on our first engagement with them. You were, however, adamant that you wanted us to run a short campaign.

The prospect data used for the campaign was specified by you. Prior to the campaign launching, the data was sent to you for full visibility, and you returned the data, outlining who you wanted us to prioritise calling.

Your statement that no leads were generated is entirely false. One of the opportunities generated was an introduction into a £600million Infrastructure Services business, with potential to undertake multiple projects.

Reporting was provided throughout the campaign, alongside weekly review meetings. Post campaign, our Senior Account Manager reviewed the campaign with your MD, alongside several discussions between yourself and your Account Manager.

We wish you every success in the future, and hope that your are able to develop the live opportunities we generated and gain value from the value from the pipeline we built during the campaign.

Positive Lead Generation

Julie is a real asset to Beanstalk and her professional approach to our campaign is making it a real success. She has made positive connections with decision makers and has delivered meaningful leads for us to follow. I would highly recommend Julie and the Beanstalk team for lead generation.

A solid start to working with Jake at Beanstalk

Jake has made a solid start in delivering lead generation for Southwark’s Living Wage programme, bringing in good quality leads who are informed and prepared to engage. The leads that have come through so far show promise and a clear understanding of the accreditation process. As the service continues and momentum builds, we hope to see Jake’s hard work result in more accredited Living Wage employers in Southwark.

Disappointed and Let Down by Beanstalk

We are a small business and had previously had a negative experience with another provider. Naturally, we were cautious about using another company to generate leads for us, but after our meeting with Beanstalk’s Sales Director, Roger Woodall, we felt reassured. Although he was clear that results couldn’t be guaranteed, he stated we would certainly see some leads within the three-month campaign, and likely more over six months. He also emphasised their experience running successful campaigns for similar businesses, which gave us confidence.

After our onboarding call, we clearly outlined our requirements and expectations. It was agreed that we would have weekly meetings to review progress, with a report shared in advance outlining the previous week’s activity.

However, we quickly noticed a worrying lack of activity. We were told this was because our SDR was off and that their partner would temporarily take over the campaign. Activity appeared to improve slightly only after we raised concerns, making it feel like progress only happened when challenged.

Despite ongoing reassurances that the campaign was on track, we saw minimal results. We understand that lead generation takes time, but we expected transparency and meaningful communication, neither of which were delivered.

To date, we’ve received just two leads. One had incorrect contact details and was not a decision-maker, despite being told all leads would be vetted. The second had no interest in our product for at least a few years. I would not classify either of these as sales-qualified leads.

We had considered extending the campaign for a further three months but decided to wait and assess the results first. To avoid being automatically renewed, we cancelled the auto-renewal during the second week.

Adrian, the Head of Account Management, said he would review the campaign, make improvements, and join our weekly meetings. He attended the first call but gave no clear direction or proper introduction. He missed the second week entirely, and in the third week, emailed five minutes into the meeting to say he couldn’t attend and would call later, which he never did.

When he finally messaged us, there was no apology for his absence. The remaining weeks delivered no further results, and our SDR was left to deal with our frustrations. When we questioned the campaign reports, Adrian became defensive and ultimately refused to discuss the campaign any further, cancelling our final review call without notice. This call was also supposed to cover the previous week’s activity.

Our requests to speak with the company’s Director, Roger Woodall, or Managing Director, Phil Swanson, have gone unanswered. We were not asking for a refund, only for a clear explanation of why this campaign yielded no results.

Their lack of engagement and unwillingness to address our concerns was extremely disappointing.

If you’re looking for a company to help generate leads, in our experience, initial contact was positive but follow-through and delivery did not meet expectations. We would advise other small businesses to proceed with caution.

Beanstalk has been one of the most disappointing service providers we have worked with.

Great communication from Amelia

We have been working closely with Beanstalk over the past few months and we have noticed a lot of personal care being put on the outreach we required. Amelia is always engaging with us to get new information or relaying positive calls and leads. Very impressed with the level of communication.

Highly recommended!

We've been working with Beanstalk for several months now, and the experience has been excellent. Dani and Jordan are professional, responsive, and well-trained in delivering quality leads through targeted outreach. We've seen early success with with notable new clients coming on board. Their reporting is transparent, and they’re always open to feedback and strategy adjustments. Highly recommended!
