Called up battery world Noosaville stating my Yuasa battery was dead and asked when I purchased it as it was stated the it came with a 40 month warranty.
I was correct as the battery was only coming up to 34 months.
Took it back to the store and told the guy what the go was. This battery wasn't used much in my old car. He put a meter on it and read 5 volts.
Apparently Yuasa don't do warranty if the battery falls below 8 volts I was told.
So there you go, not worth a pinch of the paperwork.
Went to Repco and got the same battery there, told the bloke there about my experience with battery world and he couldn't believe it.
Repco battery has pretty much the same warranty offered if not more and if the battery goes dead no matter what voltage it is on you will get a new one.
Thanks Battery world - you can keep your "Aussie" batteries.

my car was totally dead ,the Figtree Batteryworld crew fitted a new one on saturday ,but today my car was total dead again .There back up service is brilliant and friendly ,they near came strait out again ,put a new battery in with no drama at all and tested alternator and any crazy draw on power. I am seriously blown away how great a service these guys provided . 100% everyone use Batteryworld Figtree !!!

Needed 3 x batteries for my boat - which is a work boat - came over after I called - as boat on the trailer is about 11 metres long. Tested and replaced all batteries - whole thing done within 2 hours. Fantastic and quick; explained everything to me.

Just got done with an oil change at Lou’s car care (theyare extremely courteous) .
They said I needed a battery for my Mercedes’. $400 for the battery and $150 to install it.
Went to battery world.. pulled into the garage.. they changed the battery ( no charge) got the battery for $150
1) They still believe in CUSTOMER SERVICE (wow!) A RARE occurrence these days
2.) Courteous, friendly.
3,) There not out to Gouge you..

Rang up battery world Rockingham WA asked if they had a specific battery make and model number, I was told yes and given a price. I drove a good distance to get to the store when I asked for the battery I was given an generic make and model the customer service was nonexistent was told it’s a battery that’s what I asked for!? I pointed out if I asked for a Rolls-Royce and you said you have one I wouldn’t turn up and buy a Holden! I was told I was just wanted a blue! This is the second time that store has wasted my time I will never use battery world again!

Wish I would have done my research before buying at Battery World. Will NEVER go there again!
I have bought a number of batteries - none of them the bottom level, but all the 'upmarket' ones with additional warranty. Only for warranty to be denied when it was due.
Then they dropped the battery after I dropped it off for them to test it & also claimed that the battery was delivered damaged.

Brought our Citroen into store to get a new battery. Seemed they were unfamiliar with how to fit battery in this car. Got annoyed and charged us $40 Call out fee despite advertised policy which states new batteries fitted for free.

Having bought a battery for my van it was fitted by a lad of approximately 16 years of age under no supervision resulting in all my ot working before I left the store. I was abruptly told to take it to the auto electrician a few hundred metres away and they would fix it as the lads father worked there. I took it home and repaired it myself.
Aftera few months it wouldn’t start. Using the jump starter I also bought from battery world I started the van on average 4 times a day every day.
As I work away I returned to the store on a Saturday and was told to wait on the chair in the corner whilst they served customers who were buying products. I walked out disgusted and persevered with the jump starter until I was home again.
I now took the battery to a non franchise company who know about batteries, they performed a discharge test confirming that at minimum cranking voltage my battery only had 90amps, battery was rated at 450 amps.
I Returned to the store (Hervey Bay) who’s “technician” tested the battery using a volt meter and gave me a print off showing the battery had 13volts, hello how many amps and said the battery was perfectly fine and my spot light were probably causing a parasitic voltage draining the battery. What a load of horse s**t.
I returned to the shop that had done the discharge test and bought a new battery, now 6 weeks later and not one single issue.
Shame on you battery world Hervey Bay, you have bought a franchise you have no idea how to run, sub standard technicians and very very bad attitude wasting my hard earned money and not honouring the fact you sold me a sub standard battery.
Social media will be your downfall.

Coconut Grove Darwin. Could not have been more helpful. After being told by Mitsuibishi that it was going to cost $400 to replace the battery, I got my car and headed here. As the car was not having any more trouble with starting they tested the battery. Explained what was happening with my battery that it had life and could work but not reliably and was on the way out. They then supplied and installed a battery for the sum total of $214 and possibly some cents. Thank you Sam it was hot work and you were cheerful the whole time.

I wish I could give zero stars. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. The expensive battery I bought leaked acid after less than a year and my car broke down, leading to nearly $1000 of towing, mechanics and investigations as Battery World refused to believe it was the battery’s fault and just replace it. Two mechanics later, they were still saying it was my fault because I do short trips in my 12 year old car (my driving habits have not changed) and then when I tried to seek reimbursement for the costs as the battery was still under warranty, no one would return my calls or emails. They are absolutely HOPELESS and awful to deal with in every way.

This guys are extremely painful to deal with when it comes to warranty... Product is still under warranty and failed after one year. I suggest it is better to buy from Repco or super cheap as they can honor the warranty.

The franchisee's around Australia - the ones I have dealt with have been really good. However the management and staff of the Bendigo store sold me 6 deep cycle batteries that were expired - old stock. At 6 months they are cactus from sitting around not being charged and get returned to the factory to be ground up and recycled - 3 of them were 6 months old, 3 of them were 9 months old. The manager lied to me by telling me that they were fresh batteries and the staff knew they were duds - they said and did nothing. So after much "penetrating" into Yasua Century, I found out what the codes meant - yes the batteries are OLD and DEAD stock. I then got into the management of Battery World who basically refused to replace them with batteries fresh off the ship from Korea (3 months old) and they just gave me the run around. The national ? franchise manager, was OK until he blocked me and washed his hands of the issue and the Victorian franchise manager, just gave me the run around and renegged on delivering fresh batteries and swapping over the dud batteries they sold me.

I am now making these a matter of legal proceedings and all details will be accounted for.

Non of the characters are trustworthy and the whole "give them the brush off and run around until they go away" will be addressed.

They are really good and fast at fitting a new car battery although the guy seemed to be laughing at my old car (29 years old) but the car still works! I went to battery world at Geelong. He wasn't real talkative. Maybe I am getting too old for friendliness at these places. It was good service but standoffish. I guess he will start to age one day and he can put up with unfriendly behaviour. Meh.

The team at Rozelle (NSW) could not be better. Their dedication to helping me solve several issues around my camper trailer has been nothing short of amazing. The only way through the issue at hand was a process of elimination and they have gone above and beyond to help solve it.

I went to the one on Kingman street couple of hours ago. I said I might need a battery. He takes my watch n gives it back without setting it. I even said u didn't set it. He says I didn't know you wanted me too. Everything I bought a battery for anywatch they set the time. So I set it n wait 5 minutes. I tell him it's not working. He said I told you it might need a lubing. They don't do. I said why did you sell me a battery if you knew this. I'm already upset. 2 blocks away I call the store n said my husband wants me to come back n get the old battery. He says he can't do that. I seen a small trash can next to him. I said give me the bag n I'll go thur it. He says NO. so this tell me maybe I didn't get a new battery but the same one that was in it. Glad I used a credit card cause I'm calling them n not paying the bill. What kind of company does business this way. Also going to call BBB N MAKE A Complaint.

Brendan from Battery World Brookvale was so helpful and easy to deal with. He explained the "diagnosis" of my car battery and the options I had very clearly. He led the way to Battery World for a battery replacement making sure I was following him incase I had any issues on the way there. He then replaced my car battery swiftly. Overall, very friendly and professional service. Would definitely recommend Brendan to anyone!

Bought 2 x CR1225 'Renata' lithium cells from Battery World in Cannon hill, QLD and found they did not work. Closer examination indicates these are FAKE. They have voltage, but can't supply a useful current. I was a bit suspicious that they were in little plastic bags rather than the proper packaging...will be making a complaint to the OFT.

Called up to inquire whether I could recycle some lithium-ion batteries. Gina asks me where they came from, to which I reply "a powerbank and an electric scooter". She then jumps to say no and follows it up with "we only accept lithium-ion cells". Well they are in fact cells (as opposed to flat polymer ones like in cell phones). Once we clear that up, I drop by the store.

Gina then takes a look at the wrapped pack of cells and without any examination, tells me they don't accept it. I ask her to examine it and feel the cells inside the pack. She refuses and gives me a dead no.

So I go back to my car, cut the wrapping open, take it back to the store and she takes it! No acknowledgement, no apologies, nothing.

Guess what baselessly refusing recycling batteries does: it makes people put them in the bin (out of frustration) and then you have garbage trucks on fire. In short, it puts people's lives at risk! That'll be on you Gina.

Now she may have had a bad day, but being in the customer service business, your bad days gets you bad reviews!

And to the "junior" guy at the store: you're not a robot mate, just because your boss said something, you don't have to agree without asking why.
