I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I had to say a big thank you to Mujahid and Hasnain. Mujahid was fantastic throughout the entire mortgage redemption process. As this was my first time redeeming a mortgage, I expected it to be quite difficult, but Mujahid kept me updated at every stage and made the whole experience smooth and stress free.

My husband and I decided to buy a house with StrideUp and after ringing through the list of solicitors on their panel, settled on Batley Law because of the confident and courteous reception we recieved from Muhammed Darwan on the other end of the phone (some of the others were horrible!)

Our situation was tricky as we switched providers and solicitors well into the process and with the pressure of a chain, we were worried our deal would fall through. Batley Law were efficient, professional and incredibly responsive. They were also the most decently priced! We never met with annoyance when we called for updates, and getting updates was easy (which is so important when you're going through the stress of making such a large and important purchase). Muhammed was proactive with our case and there were many times we could tell he was working overtime to make sure we met our very tight deadline. He communicated what we needed to do and when, and definitely went above and beyond for us. Obstacles come in the way too, but he always worked to get us through them and we are incredibly grateful for his hardwork, perseverance, dedication and kind manner on the phone. He is an asset to his workplace.

Mujahid was excellent dealing with the completion of flat purchase. As a new build purchase via islamic financing, this wasn’t straightforward but he was communicative and diligent throughout.

Had an absolutely brilliant experience! Big shoutout to trainee solicitor Mujahid – he was spot on. Great communication, super quick replying to emails, and really on the ball with all the council checks. Honestly, it felt like he was buying the house for himself with how much care he put in!

Mujahid’s definitely an asset to Batley Law. My solicitor, Mr Liaquat, was also really easy to talk to and approachable. They originally said it might take around 12 weeks to get everything sorted, but they wrapped it all up in just 8 weeks – and that’s with an Islamic mortgage, which comes with a fair bit of extra paperwork.

Proper impressed and would 100% recommend Batley Law if you’re buying a home!

I called Batleylaw Solicitors twice to ask about applying for a spouse visa. Both times the receptionist was rude and dismissive. I was told someone would call me back, but it has been over a month and no one has contacted me. Very poor communication and unprofessional attitude. I’m glad I found out before trusting them with my case, it would have been a nightmare to deal with this level of service during an important visa process.
