I visited Batchelors York on Thursday…

I visited Batchelors York on Thursday to get my Jaecoo annual service completed. What a fantastic customer experience. This is a refreshing change compared to my recent experiences with Vertu Jaguar Leeds and Stoneacre Renault Doncaster who are probably the worst two companies I have had the displeasure of dealing with for some time. It's great to feel valued as a customer again.

Bought my Suzuki swift in February

Bought my Suzuki swift in February. Andy was great, no rushing, no pressure, very relaxed but on point and very professional. 100% happy with the service/sale and love my little car! Would thoroughly recommend to family and friends and certainly use them again.

Diamond bloke .

Bought a Suzuki S cross. What a great experience due to Andy. Andy was professional with a friendly charming manner. He guided is througj the experience making it a stress free experience ,sotting tax and indurance for us . Cannot praise this mam enough. He is true asset to the company and what we sheffielders would call a diamond bloke. Thank you Andy

Mark Kaye

After disappointments with a couple of Suzuki dealerships we went to Ripon where Mark Kaye handled the sale, which he did with the utmost professionalism. He is an asset to your company. When we took the vehicle for its first service, Mark yet again asked if we were happy with the car and was there anything else that he could do. 5 * service from Mark.

Saw Nathan Carpenter at York Suzuki

Saw Nathan Carpenter at York Suzuki . Got my first car off Nathan top salesman in my opinion and just bought my second Vitara off him. Made buying a new car very easy and explained everything I needed to know from start to finish. Will definitely deal with Batchelors again all very helpful. Thanks Nathan top salesmen.

Dana

Our recent dealings with Dana were excellent . From start to finish she was patient ,explained everything we needed to know. We went away with our new purchase very happy. We never felt under any pressure. at all.

The car had some issues but they were resolved

The car was described as having a full service history but none supplied. The car was subject to a recall that they failed to carry out and also failed to notify me as such. No explanation of breakdown cover I assumed this would follow in the post it never did. Attention to detail was lacking very disappointing as I moved to Suzuki as the dealers scored highly Bachelors are the exception
As of today Batchelors have reached out and have acted in the way I would expect The service data has been addressed They did miss the recall and are now arranging for it to be carried out. NB this is not a safety item. Some smaller issues have or will be resolved. I would recommend any one contemplating buying a car to seek out a small independent dealer the service will be so much better,

Not the exciting id expected picking up a new car!

My experience buying a Omoda at the Malton Branch. I had a test drive at another garage on the preface lift model. Came across a new outlet at Malton so I booked another test drive on the newest version. I was impressed with the car I took two friends with me. I usually buy my cars outright but because of depreciation and a an attractive 0% finance deal . A talked with the salesman and he said I could get a full tank of petrol and a grey one for the same price. This was the deal clincher. He took my car in part exchange. Especially as he said the deal with Omoda ended at the end of the month this was about the 20th of October, my friends were in earshot of what I was being offered.
So far so god and he told me the car would be available to pick up on the 29th October which was quicker than expected.. I had been in regular contact with Josh about one or two things.
I had problems getting insurance for the new vehicle my insurance turned it down .So I had a frustrating time getting that sorted.
I was given a time to pick the car up at 1pm .
The first thing Josh made me aware that I hadn't signed the lease agreement, he said id been sent an online form to sign. I went through this trying to find it on my phone we couldn't find it so he sent another one which arrived but the link wouldn't work!Then he said that the agreement to buy the car didn't mention a car full of petrol and there was a £500 charge for paint. I was told you can come back next week to sort this out.I'd cancelled the insurance on my old car and had insured the new one. How did they expect me to go home they dont offer any short term insurance which had at other garages.I live 30miles away no direct way to get home. They phoned the salesman who was on holiday Eventually he admitted about the petrol but not the paint offer. I decided to go ahead as by this time I had a headache to put it mildly. They got a form for me to sign for car finance. Just by chance Josh mentioned the offer was on till Xmas! If id known that I wouldn't have signed up until after the budget
They then had to get in touch with the firm it had gone through.Two and a half hours later ! I set off home not the experience id hoped for. All I can say is buyer beware and get everything in writing before hand.

Brilliant experience

I was looking to upgrade from my first car into something alot newer and that’s exactly what Dana managed to help me do ! She was absolutely brilliant in helping me with everything I needed, the customer service was amazing and I always received a fast response back via email conversation, very efficient. Couldn’t be more pleased, thank you Dana !!!

EV purchase

I recently visited the showroom and was helped by Mark, who was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the electric car I was interested in, answering all my questions in great detail. His knowledge and friendly approach made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks to Mark’s help, I ended up with an excellent car that suits me perfectly. Highly recommend both the showroom and Mark for anyone looking for great service and expertise!

Excellent Customer Service and repair.

After getting my Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV taken to Batchelors Nether Poppleton with major main battery problems, Batcherlors diagnosed the problem informed Mitsubishi and arranged for my vehicle to be taken to a level 4 battery repair workshop for repair. This has now been completed and my vehicle is running just fine. Batchelors informed me that my vehicle was still under warranty so cost me nothing for the repair which was very good news for me. I would like to thank all Batchelors personnel for their help and expertise in dealing with my vehicle's problems, however I would like to give special praise to Service Advisor Finn Stannard for all of his help on getting my vehicle back on the road.

Disappointing Experience Despite a Promising Startwith this dealership…

My experience with this dealership began on a positive note. The sales process was smooth, and the team were friendly and welcoming. However, the overall experience turned out to be disappointing due to consistently poor communication.

I placed my order in June and was initially assured that my silver and black Omoda E5 would be delivered in July. That date was then pushed to August, then September, and finally I was told it might arrive by Christmas, though even that wasn’t guaranteed. The only alternative offered was to switch to a red model or a Jaecoo 7, neither of which matched my original order.

Throughout this process, I received no proactive updates. Every piece of information came only after I chased it myself by phone. This lack of transparency and reliability made the experience frustrating and stressful.

Eventually, I cancelled the finance agreement and requested a refund. While the cancellation was acknowledged, the handling of the situation left much to be desired.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure they receive clear, written confirmation of timelines before committing. Professionalism and communication are key, and unfortunately, this dealer fell short on both. I did not feel they lived up to their "FAMILY / TLC not PLC" ethos.

Outstanding experience.

I recently purchased my Jaecoo J7 from Bachelors of Ripon, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. A special mention goes to Dana Mukane, my sales representative, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient throughout. Dana took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was completely comfortable with my choice.

The level of customer care I received was outstanding, and it really made the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend Bachelors of Ripon to anyone considering a Jaecoo and any of their products and I’d especially recommend asking for Dana – you’ll be in very good hands!

Great service

Had previously had Suzukis and wanted to renew my acquaintance with the brand using a smaller family owned business such as Bachelors.

I opted for a used 2 year old S Cross and dealt with Nathan Carpenter. There a few minor issues on the car but Nathan made a list and on the day I collected the car reported that all items had been addressed. Throughout the process Nathan was helpful, knowledgeable and in no way pushy. He was happy to show me the car and let me go away to make my decision.

Excellent service from Nathan who has been with the company for a number of years which is unusual in car sales. I recommend Bachelors if you are looking for a new or used car. Ask for Nathan he will look after you.

I have been a loyal customer for…

I have been a loyal customer for several years getting my Mitsubishi serviced here. Not any longer. It appears the service manager retired, new one is hopeless. No courtesy car now, waiting ages for a lift home and return, standing around in the showroom for ages, poor customer service now. Getting text messages to buy a new Chinese car from them. No chance, will go to independent garage now.

Great aftersales service

Very satisfied with Batchelor's and their aftersales service.
Had an issue with the vehicle 9 months after purchase (corrosion of subframe). After some negotiation with Batchelor's and their Warranty support company, they agreed to pay for the labour to replace the subframe. This was despite the fault being outside of their normal warranty coverage.

I would therefore highly recommend Batchelor's for their excellent customer service and aftersales support.

Exceptional experience

I recently bought a 2015 Jaguar XE from Batchelors, York. The whole experience was exceptional.

I seldom write reviews. I write this one, not because of the excellent pre-sale communication, the meticulous preparation of the car or the fact that the sales team went the extra mile to ensure I could pick the car up seamlessly having travelled from Peterborough.

Nor do I write because of the unwavering integrity of their post sales service, which proved to be faultless when they remedied a fault, immediately and without question, providing me a courtesy car.

All of that is worthy of a laudable review, but the reason I write this is because of their compassion!

My mum died the day I took the courtesy car home. That same day, my own car was repaired, and when I told them I didn't know when I could return their car, Batchelors, without hesitation, extended the loan of the courtesy car for 14 days, with a view to extend if needed.

I'm hugely grateful to everyone who I came into contact with at Batchelors. Not just for their professionalism, impeccable customer service, and faultless communication but, more importantly, for me in my unique circumstances, their compassion. The latter is not often associated with generic customer service in any sector, much less the motor trade, and I'm eager to get the word out

It's a family ran business, and it shows.

I travelled from Peterborough to York to buy the car that I wanted from a dealer that I believed I could trust, and they returned that belief in spades. You can buy cars anywhere, but you can't buy trust. Integrity and compassion are even more scarce. I can't recommend Batchelors highly enough.

Took my Mitsubishi for repair

Took my Mitsubishi for repair, the service and information was 1st glass id had it at a garage in Leeds for three weeks they were unable to repair , had it transported to bachelors york great choice within a short time they’d identified the problem even sent me a talk through video and diagrams to explain the problem in more detail I would certainly recommend this garage brilliant job.
