Loving our Batch coffee…
Loving our Batch coffee…. so much so we took it on holiday to Cephalonia!
Subscription was initially a present from our son and daughter in law in Australia. We have subsequently continued the subscription and always look forward to our deliveries. Excellent communication and service from Tom and the team at Batch coffee.

First batch arrived
First batch arrived, and first coffee tasted " lost sheep" sublime!
Will be trying to order that again.
Box the coffee arrives in is stylish with tasting card and brew advice helpful ( I use aeropress), and I tried their timings suggested which worked well.
It's been a nice experience so far!
The coffee has far more nuance than my supermarket whole beans. Roast date couldn't get fresher.

Ordered on the 10th December for a Christmas present and was told it would be dispatched on the 20th December. It is now the 27th December and I have still not received the coffee beans. Waste of money for a Christmas present that has been ruined!

Hey Abbie, I'm very sorry to hear that the coffee didn't turn up. It was dispatched on the 20th but unfortunately on rare occasions Royal Mail do take longer than the 1 or 2 days to deliver the coffee. Please reach out to us via our contact form on our website and we can arrange a refund.

Absolutely amazing coffee. Genuinely some of the best I have ever had. Had to wait for the batch to be ready but it was honestly worth it.

Excellent coffee; bitter customer support.
Have had some really great coffee from the company, but their customer support is the worst I've experienced yet.
A small rock in one of their coffee bags made it into my grinder and caused damage to the burr.
Notified the company through the contact form on their website. No reply in two weeks.
I can't continue to support a company that won't support loyal customers.

Despite one exceptional and two very good coffees, none of the coffees were any better or any worse that you could buy from any coffee shop. A few things in particular are worth nothing. The coffees are 200g, so you get less. There seems to be a focus on Brazilian coffees (which tend to be cheaper to buy). Delivery is not free, fair enough given the more regular frequency of delivery and the cost of fuel, but do keep in mind that most online places will offer you free delivery for very similar order value. Equally, the terrible Evri is used so it's pot luck whether it turns up in a week or delivered to the neighbouring street. It's not 25% off, but 25% the first installment -- the website doesn't make that entirely explicit. The info that accompanies the coffees is quite lengthy and focuses on the grower more than the coffee itself (I guess it's more objective) but given the standard of coffees on offer here, this service seems more geared to people who dabble in coffee rather than the enthusiasts.

Firstly, I am really sorry that you feel this way. We pride ourselves on our customer service and if you had reached out on some of the issues above I’m sure we could have found solutions.
The bag sizes do come in 200g, there are many specialty roasters that use this size too. It is clearly communicated throughout the website. When we first started, we found that after sending various size bags, the two lots of 200g was the amount of coffee that our customers preferred and anything more than 400g at once was too much.
Brazilian coffee is certainly not a focus, we have so far used 3 Brazilians out of 22 coffees in 2022. We have also used 4 Ethiopians, 4 Colombian’s and 3 Guatemalan’s. We try to alternate origins constantly but selecting each coffee on its own merit. The coffees that we select are all ones that we feel our customers will enjoy and highlight best the origins as well as the coffee roasters.
The vast majority of our customers receive their coffee in two days which is delivered straight to their doorstep. Apologies if you had issues with the couriers. If you’d have let us know we could have arranged another courier if you were not happy with Evri.
Both our popups and website banners state 25% off your first box. Apologies again if this was confusing.
The lengthy reviews are the foundation of what we do. We try to promote the growers at origin but also the independent coffee roasters around the UK and prompt people to purchase directly from them if they like a coffee. The more information the better and we hope that people may learn something or find a roaster they love.
We are a small business and we are passionate about what we do. We are a team of coffee industry professionals and believe that each coffee we select is a great fit for our customers that are both enthusiasts and dabblers.

My only very diva issue is that the roast date is a bit older than some other subscription services.
But honestly that's minor as it tastes fantastic.
