I ordered the right size for me pero, smaller yung dumating. Yung top tumutusok sa armpit. Not comfortable. The ribbon on the skirt is not attached at kailangan pang problemahin kung paano ilalagay. Yung ribbon din is off. Yung top, it is supposed to be tucked in, as advertised, to give way for the ribbon, but because of the piping, sobrang off if tucked in.
Yung top button ng barong naman, so tight.
The seller of course is happy kasi nakabenta... Pero kaming buyers, may magagawa ba kami? Kahit paulanin namin ng bad reviews, anong mapapala namin?
Nakakadismaya... Compromise na lang kahit pricey...

DO NOT ORDER FROM BARONG WORLD
I ordered my barong om April 14. And just received it on May 23. When i ordered my barong i was told that it would be 25 days to receive since i had a custom one made. Everytime i would ask about my order i kept getting excuses that it was still being processed and they would send me an email once it has been shipped. After the date that my order was supposed to come i called again and was told that the there was a problem getting the fabric for my barong but it would be there the following week. Again i called for an update and was told it was still be processed. Finally after waiting for more than a month and constantly calling them they said my barong was done but i wouldn't be able to receive it till the end of may because the courier company they use which is DHL doesn't give them an option to ship express overnight. Which was completely wrong because i am a manager at DHL and i know that we offer overnight shipping from the Philippines to canada. Which i told them. After letting them know that I work for DHL and we ship express overnight they got back to me within ten minutes and said the dhl website which they use to create the waybills all of a sudden let them ship overnight. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! They will keep giving you excuses about your order. Total scam! I have already email the manager that handles the Philippines hub and explained to them what this company is doing and DHL will be looking at there account.
Really poor communications on shipping
Really poor communications on shipping. Many barongs are naturally for planned events. As a result, timely delivery and communications is important. However, Barong World simply doesn't communicate on shipping... one has to chase them down for information. I will not purchase from them again. Also, note the good reviews here appear to be left by some Barong World employees if you look them up.

Ordered 4 barongs 2 months before my event. 4 weeks out I asked for an update, they said it was delayed. 2 weeks out I was asking for daily updates and they said the 2 boy barongs were still being produced.
No barongs arrived and I had to go to a local supplier instead. 3 weeks later, still no refund after BW explicitly committed to providing one. I had to cancel via my credit card ($300+).
Scam company and terrible customer service that will string you along. Don't let them ruin your event.

Do not EVER order from here. Their customer service is atrocious: Mike, Alex, Yen, they are all TERRIBLE. I ordered a barong with express shipping three weeks in advance and it took EIGHT WEEKS to arrive — way past my express shipping date. They promised a refund on my express shipping payment and I am still fighting their stupidity — it’s as if they have no idea what they are talking about. To make things worse, The barong is mediocre and significantly overpriced and itches on the skin. Do not ever order from here.

This place is god awful
This place is god awful. Their service is poor. I ordered 4 barongs on February 10th and purchased the express shipping because I needed my groomsmen try them on to make sure they fit. Today is February 24th and I checked to see the status of the order and hasn’t been shipped. I called customer service asking what is going on with my order. Yen or Jen said my groomsmen’s barongs are not made yet!!! What?!?! 14 days and still not made?!?! Somehow they made the Barongs within 30-45 mins bc I got a notification saying it’s shipped. They didn’t want to give me a discount for their inconvenience and that they could only give back my express shipping. They had the nerve to say since we can’t give you a discount, we will give you 15% off your next order. I will NEVER order anything from here again. Shame on this company. I hope they don’t give me a replacement Barong. To be continued…
Too expensive and too late
I ordered two barongs - I did not get these until a month later, after I needed them. I had to purchase two more from Etsy, which arrived on time. What makes matters worse is the company is in San Diego and I LIVE in San Diego!! They are overpriced don’t waste your money here!
not to be trusted
i ordered JS122 before christmas, it did not arrive and got lost in shipping. they shipped another one as a replacement, but a wrong model has arrived. they were asking for me to ship out the wrong item first before a new one gets shipped to me. that means i will have to wait again. i would not recommend ordering from this company. nakakahiya if this happens to someone else, and it is a Filipino company. how can i be proud?

If I could give this a zero star I would. The exchange policy is not completely shown on the website. Originally paid in CAD. I then need to exchange for a different size then I have to hassle with them to pay for the shipping and restocking fee but in USD now. Now to return the original item you also have to pay another shipping fee. This is a complete joke. I will never purchase from here again nor will I refer this company to anyone who was going to purchase for my wedding.

Everything went wrong with this vendor. I wanted to give them my support as they're Filipino but I regret doing so... I ordered a custom dress for my mother's maid of honor ensemble for my wedding. I provided exact measurements and the dress was horrible. It was extremely loose and underwhelming. When I contacted support, they stated that I could not receive a refund, however, they will refund me part of the alteration cost if I provide a receipt. After providing the receipt, I underwent rigorous follow-up and kept receiving the run around about the refund request being pending. Months after my wedding I still heard nothing until I threatened to leave a bad review. Someone finally responded and offered me $100 off. STILL NEVER HEARD BACK. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Scammers. Avoid at all cost!! I order a men XL shirt on August 1st for an event on September 22. I also paid for rush delivery. Received 0 updates on the order status. I reached out to the vendor Sept 12th and was told they ran out of the shirts and unable to restock their shopify. I asked for a refund due to the dissatisfaction of service. They ghosted me and I lost over hundreds of dollars. I reached out nearly every week and not 1 response. They are total scammers. Avoid and stay away from Barong World.

I ordered a barong based on their size selector and got an XL delivered. It was way too big in the neck and the sleeves. I called to exchange it and was told there was a $25 restocking fee and 19.95 shipping charge for exchange. I found they sold the same item on Etsy for less money and no charge for exchanges (except for return shipping at customer's expense). I tried to return the item I originally received and they told me it was no longer eligible for return because I didn't send an email within 2-3 days of receiving the one that was too large. I spoke to someone by phone, but he never mentioned that I needed to do that. Now they refuse to refund anything. These people have no customer service attitude at all. I wish I had read the reviews here before dealing with them. They definitely deserve a 1 rating (actually 0).
Stay away, terrible customer service
I ordered a barong for a wedding, paid $40 for 7-12 day shipping, and it showed up to my door a month later - way too late for the event I needed it for.
Then I wrote to ask them to return it for a refund since it was so late and they REFUSED. Customer service is absolutely horrible and this business is a complete scam.
Never received my dress or a refund! Do not order from here
I ordered a custom dress for a special occasion and I never received it, nor a refund. Terrible and frustrating customer service. I emailed them multiple times because my item should have arrived within 30 days. I contacted them via phone and email. No one was able to give me a shipping date. They kept saying they would "check with the production team," and never got back to me. After 6 weeks, I still hadn't received it and I requested a refund. They told me they would "check with the manager." That was over a week ago. I emailed again and now there is no response. Please do not order here! I was so disappointed to not have something special to wear for my aunt's 50th anniversary. They owe me over $200. I am filing a dispute with the credit card company to hopefully get my money back.

Do not take risks to buy here. I am honestly telling you. I am giving the lowest star because of poor customer service, delayed delivery, return/refund policy, mismatch advertised images on website. I custom made my size and you keep telling me it’s almost done, yet you gave me an unpolished ready made item that I cannot wear on my event! Never buy here again!
An Absolute Scam
An Absolute Scam. They sent me the wrong size barong and I even showed them pictures of the barong with the measurements to prove to them they sent me the wrong one. They agreed to refund me including the postage and after I sent it back and they received it they refused to refund me. I issued a charge back with my credit card and they're currently fighting it. So not only did they get the barong back but they're attempting to keep my money. A COMPLETE SCAM of a company and a ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THE FILIPINO PEOPLE AND CULTURE.
Edit: I see that there is a 5 star rating on here named JULIET HERNANDEZ, she is an employee of barongworld so don't believe that review. When I returned my barong it was sent to her.
