Great communication, lowball offer
They are very fast getting back to you. Very friendly and polite. But don't sell your car to them for less than what you deserve. They offered me €7,000 for my car, which I ended up selling privately for €9,500 (Car worth 11-12k). Know your car's value before you go in.
Lowball Tactics After False Promises
They lure you in with a reasonable estimate, then drastically lowball you in person with a list of excuses about your car. It felt misleading, especially as it seemed they had already lined up another buyer before even making the offer. Overall, a frustrating experience and a waste of time — I’d avoid dealing with them.

Have a 191 skoda superb sportline for sale. Got a valuation from i-motors in donegal. 4000 to 5000. I told the agent he was taking the piss as it was to 3800vrt it a few months prior. Scam artists looking for some poor person hard up for money.
Not only annoyed with auto buy but will never be dealing with I motors in Drumkeen

Sold my car today to autobuy and john from Autobuy really took the hassle out of selling my old car. He looked over the car and gave me a very fair price. He asked if I wanted cash or bank transfer. John was gent from start to finish. Wasn't my first time dealing with john and definitely won't be my last.

Steer clear of these people
I contacted them about selling my car, was upfront that it had a suspected engine issue. While the car is worth around €17–20k running and they initially offered me €7-9k, the next day came back offering €1,000.
I understand every business needs margin, but this felt unrealistic and misleading, and it wasted my time. If you’re hoping for a fair, market-reflective offer, I’d recommend trying elsewhere.

Absolute robbery ! Give you a minimum price and then don’t stand anywhere near it when you bring your car. Taking advantage of people that are in financial difficulties because if your not stuck you wouldn’t use them.

Was offered a price range online of 8250-9750 and scheduled an appointment to sell the car only to be left waiting an hour and 10 minutes after my scheduled time to be then offered 6000 for car model and year that are selling online for minimum 14000 don’t waste your time because mine was wasted

Thank you for your reviews. This is another company I shall avoid like the plague along with Geartech. Another set of con artists. The sooner companies realize people are taking notice of reviews the better it will be for everyone.

My experience with Mark in Autobuy.ie was excellent.
He was very professional and offered a fair price on my car sale. The whole process was completed in less that an hour. Tea or coffee was also available. The friendly staff and nice office space made everything so easy.
No hesitation in recommending Autobuy to anyone that is looking to sell a used car.

Got offered between 2250-3750 online with 1 month of doe on a van, went an hour over the road to be offered 2500 if I got a new doe on the van.
The van is 2013 an insult if you ask me,
My van had 280kms on it they were showing me a 19 plate van with 175kms it had more hits then the beetles on it but wanted 11,900 for it he said my van had massive millage..

I was offered a price via link and went I got there was offered a much much lower offer. It was a pure insult. They are totally unprofessional and try to pay as little as possible for cars.
I found the salesman had " a total know it all attitude" and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. As he kept repeating "it's a process"
They prey on desperate people trying to sell their car.
Stay away. Get better deals with honest people on donedeal. I would rather give my car away for free than sell to that company.
