When I finally accepted that my hearing was less than perfect the obvious thing to do was go to Hidden Hearing as my husband has been with them for 25 years.
I went to the Saint Vincent Street branch In Glasgow and the whole experience was excellent. The testing was thorough and the advice on what sort of aids would be appropriate was most helpful. I had no trouble getting used to the aids and find them comfortable and trouble free. It was easy to get help with any minor issues which arose in the early days and aftercare, with thorough annual check ups has been very helpful.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Hidden Hearing and the staff at Saint Vincent Street.

John was most helpful especially when there was a problem with the equipment he was trying to instal on our TV. He is going to have to try and find the right connection so that I can hear the TV better and will get back to me if he can find one.

Pleasant environment in general with some helpful advice.

Friendly staff. Made you feel relaxed and everything was very well explained.

Coming from helensburgh direction, hit heavy traffic on the m8 due to a crash.

Gave them a ring, and they were more than accommodating to ensure i still got the appointment.

Was scheduled for the free hearing test, and they went above and beyond with the whole procedure, far exceeding the standard of tests that ive been used to in the past!

Had Dr Gordon Bruce as the specialist, and he was absolutely top notch. Immediately engaging, polite and incredibly professional. He gathered some details on the symptoms that had led me to enquire about a test, and paid full attention to what i was telling him.

The receptionist was polite and answered my queries about hearing protection too.

Then Gordon went through a rigorous series of tests to establish where my hearing was at, including a distance tone test, numerous isolated booth tone tests, and even a background noise test that sinulated a noisy background chatter environment from which i had to identify a particular person's sentences.

Just brilliant. As i say, exceeded my expectations, and if i happen to encounter any future hearing related issues, the Hidden Hearing clinic in St Vincent Street will be the first to hear from me!😉

Gordon Bruce conducted a comprehensive examination confirming diagnoses as given by NHS. I have been wearing hearing aids for over ten years but have felt the quality of the aids supplied by the NHS might be improved. I have been issued with Oticon Intent 3 [The intent 1 was beyond my budget]. The phone app doesn't work with my Motorola g50 - not a sophisticated phone with which the NHS app didn't work either. It's far too soon [less that 24 hours] to tell if the expected improvement in social settings will result. Music through my HiFi registers the treble a lot better.
I would certainly recommend going to Hidden Hearing.

So I've just had Ahmed out. He's new in glasgow from the London office. From the moment he was in he was friendly he loved my wee dog poppet.
I've struggled with tv sound and not hearing people from a distance etc.
Ahmed done his tests and my right hearing is worse than my left. I was then quoted a price. (Jeez I nearly fell off my seat) £4k for the best I was like good god what have I walked into. I told him how much I had in budget it then dropped to £799.99 I was then wary. Thinking I had walked into a snide pair of hearing aids. But was assured they were just as good and they would work just as well. Only difference they were batteries and not rechargeable. So I said go ahead. I'm lucky I have enough food in as even £800 was still steap. But hey ho tis life.
Ahmed said he had booked me in again for a fitting etc in a couple of weeks.
Really professional and polite. I'd give more than 5. I'll get back on here once the aids are in and I can hear people.
