Excellent service ensuring I receive targeted medicines which agree with me

As a Medical doctor and Consultant Psychiatrist, it’s important to me that my clients get a very good experience and outcome when they are prescribed medications. It’s important that they get the right medications as dictated by their genes which will reduce / eliminate side effects, adverse unpleasant reactions and give good results in terms of treatment of their symptoms. It will also encourage compliance. Ultimately my vision is to provide a great positive wellness experience and outcome that is based on science. I found that with the Attodiagnostics pharmacogenetic testing which I offer my clients, there have been great cases where I’ve been able to contribute to changing the narrative for clients that are treatment resistant or had bad side effects in the past etc leading to happy clients and happy families. Attodiagnostics are also easy to reach and responsive when I have questions on behalf of my clients. I recommend their services highly.

Delighted with the in depth report I was sent. My GP had recommended a prescription for me and I was able to check there’d be no adverse effects. The test was easy to do, the results were received promptly and were comprehensive.

I used this service and checked it's UKAS accreditation beforehand, as a former Pathology Manager and with experience of managing genomics laboratories I wanted to ensure that the equipment being used and performance was in line with my expectations. Having met this I ordered the cardiovascular test as I had refused statins based on numerous friends suffering side effects and wanted to assess whether I was statin intolerant or not. The stated turnaround time of uptown 14 days was well met with a result within 6 days of taking the sample, and that included a weekend! Fortunately the test report, which is exceptionally well presented and clear, showed that had gone blindly to the GP the NICE guideline 1st and 2nd line statin choices would have resulted in moderate side effects. I can now approach the GP with an informed choice that will hopefully result in reduced cholesterol. My only minor criticism, due to my background and knowledge of UKAS is that I would have liked to have sen either the qualifications and/or HCPC registration number of the scientist signing off on the report.

What a great idea to bring genetics into pharmaceuticals… helping those who struggle on ‘regular’ medication… I recommend Atto to my patients who struggle with finding medication to suit them…
