I truly wouldn’t have been able to be where I am in my life today without the support Matt Wise gave me throughout my university course. He helped me through assignment panic, general life anxiety and several academic and non academic crisis. I owe a lot of my personal growth to Matt, we talked not just about university but what I wanted from life. As a mentor, he shaped who I am today by giving his own personal experiences in an attempt to help me navigate the challenges of my undecided career path. I felt very lucky to have Matt in my corner and in my life as I learnt more than academic solutions from him, I learnt life skills and I won’t forget his support and wisdom. I can’t thank you enough.

My tutor (matt wise) was really useful, and supported me through some really tough times. It was really good to have that additional level of support and someone who you can talk to about anything, from exams to work out routines.

The company in general is very helpful and prompt with requests. However, the main reason for my 5 stars is my study skills tutor they provide me, Anna. She is an absolute joy and my shining star. Anna is so patient and kind. I am able to express any worries I have, even tiny ones, and she will help me to work through them. I am getting incredibly high grades in my course, and I attribute it entirely to Anna. I genuinely could not do this without her and I am so grateful to her and Assistive Solutions for the invaluable help.

The support I've received has been great and I would argue paramount to my success in my uni career. The mentoring has been particularly helpful for general life and extra-curricular activities, being able to discuss health, committee things, and talking about my general wellbeing almost in a counselling sense. The study skills really helped me apply techniques to help me study and write effectively. These combined with the software support I received has been instrumental. Can really recommend.

I had a great experince with assistive solutions for 2 years. In the final year of my undergraduate and in the final year of my postgraduate degrees. I was paired with Matt Wise and he was an incredible in helping me complete my degrees, his constant suppot, guidance and kindness enabled me to achieve 2.i and a merit. We worked on various aspects of study and life in general, from time mangament (a point I was concerened with) to general well being. I remember us creating a plan to mangage my time to tackle essays, prioritising the important ones and the ones that are due the most. We also worked on assertiveness as well, how to manage making request in a way that made it clear what my needs were without being aggressive. All in all I learnt a lot under my time under assisstive solutions and would definetly recommend it to anyone!

I have had my mentor Matt Wise for a few months now during my first year at university. Matt listens intentively to what I have to say and gives me advice when I ask for it. Matt is easy to talk to and the hour seems to go so quick. Thanks for all your support Matt

This was my first year and I have dyslexia and other health issues which impact me on a daily basis. I filled the forms in and I could not get over how much advice and support from Louise harvath. She has been amazing and very helpful to me. I would love to work with Louise again. She made it possible for me to be able to complete my assignments and helped to bounce ideas off each other. Without her support and understanding I would not have made it through the year.
I have re applied for my second year and I hope to have the support again.

I was a mature student and diagnosed in my third year of study as having Dyspraxia. As part of the student assistance, I was assigned Theresa de Swiet as tutor to help me manage my assignments, course work and time. Theresa went above and beyond. She has an amazing ability to grasp the relevance of a topic of which she may have had no previous experience. Theresa managed to encourage me to have confidence in my ability and achieve self-efficacy. Her interest in the topic as well as my progress made it a pleasure to work with her. Her support was unstinting and pragmatic. I feel enormously fortunate to have had her tutoring skills to help me complete my Masters.

Theresa de Swiet has literally saved my life.
I found university ever so hard as a student with disabilities and Theresa was one of the very very few reasons stopping me from dropping out. She helped me fight to finish my university degree no matter what.
She was there to proof read not only my work but my emails to request more help and guidance.
She was available at almost any moment I needed her meaning she cut into her own time to be there for me sometimes.
She saw me at my lowest and guided me all the way to celebrating together. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without her especially within my last year.
She clearly thrives in this occupation and I am so grateful she was my study support through this all.

Hello I felt my experience with Liam one of the best I've ever had . I needed a high level of support due to PTSD , depression & anxiety . All session times left me feeling much better and more reassured in relation to my studies at Birkbeck University . The sessions were inspiring fun and gave me ideas of how to improve my general wellbeing. I am even thinking of continuing therapy with him. An overall ecxellent experience .

One star too much. Horrible experience repeatedly.
One laptop lasted about 18 months, likely only because I continued to use my old still working laptop before it gave up for most of the time. Broken, needed replacement. Second laptop lasted about 5 months. Broken, needed replacement which took about 8 weeks to be sent. Was left without any form of device in the middle of the term while studying with OU, so no access to anything at all. Needless to say, had to chase Assistive Solutions repeatedly as they didn't even bother to keep me updated.
Now, 5 months after I received the so-called new laptop/ replacement this one's playing up already too. And that while having to finish an assignment and having an exam coming up.
Horrible costumer service, no matter if on the phone or by email.
DSA really must look into this.

We had a suspected burst tyre at the start of a long drive to Wales - stopped at Meadowhall site - I had never used them before - felt a little vulnerable until we met Dick he totally took control of the situation- sat us in the clean waiting room
- we had a leaking valve - all fixed within 30 mins and back on our holiday.
Well done DSA this guy is an asset to your business- thank you- hope you enjoyed the sausage roll

Awful, awful awful. Contact the DSA immediately and change suppliers, this one is a charleton run business and I am reporting them to trading standards and I have written to my local MP. They need shutting down, if you have had a similar experience and refusal of contact with a managed I suggest you to do the same.
